The Democratic candidates Barack Obama, John Edwards, Joe Biden and Bill Richardson have just informed the Michigan Democratic Party that they will not participate in the public Michigan Primary Election scheduled for January 15, 2008.

The Atlantic's Marc Ambinder is reporting Hillary Clinton's campaign has declared they will not pull out of Michigan's primary, virtually assuring her victory and all of Michigan's delegates.

This is appears to be a move to increase the stakes on the traditional early states like Iowa and New Hampshire who are upset with the pressure Michigan's Primary Election is putting on them.
