Justin Paulette is an attorney practicing international law in bella Italia. He hails from the great Buckeye State, "The Heart of it All," the only state with a bridge which you can cross and still be on the same side of the river, home of the hot dog, pop top soda can and the largest basket in the world! Though he's spent the past decade jet-setting across the Atlantic with one foot in London and the other on Capitol Hill, he still fancies himself a Mid-western, God-fearing, role-playing geek at heart.

First, Superman was made to stand for truth, justice and "all that stuff" instead of "the American way."

Now, in Hollywood's continual disavowal of all things American, a new Paramount movie is transforming G.I Joe into G.I.J.O.E.: Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity. Rather than the "real American hero" of our youth (since the 1940s), G.I.J.O.E. wil become "an international, coed task force" based out of Brussels.

G.I Joe isn't an American anymore!

The only positive things I can find in this whole debacle are, 1) more people will come to recognize the unpatriotic demeanor of Hollywood, and 2) it will make for great parodies.
