Dennis Kucinich's admission in Tuesday's Democratic Presidential debate that he saw a UFO has precipitated a massive response on the blogs, cable news and talk radio. But while politicians may laugh at UFO sightings, millions of Americans apparently aren't in on the joke. 34 percent of Americans say they believe in ghosts, according to a pre-Halloween poll by The Associated Press and Ipsos. That's the same proportion who believe in unidentified flying objects - or UFOs- exceeding the 19 percent who accept the existence of spells or witchcraft.Was the question even fair game in a presidential forum? Kucinich says it was. In an interview after the debates, he said that he's willing to answer any question.
