    Top Conservatives? This is Craziness

This whole thing has to be a joke. Has to be. According to the Telegraph, these are the top ten conservatives in America:

    1. Rudy Giuliani

Huh? Rudy's not a conservative and if he was, he might go to number one if and when he wins the presidency. This is the biggest clue that this was a dartboard exercise.

    2. General Petraeus

Heck, we're not even sure he's a Republican!

    3. Matt Drudge

Actually he is a conservative, but I doubt many people know that. But to put a guy with a big website ahead of media giant Rush Limbaugh is craziness.

    4. Newt Gingrich

Authentic conservative and probably in the right spot.

    5. Rush Limbaugh

The only guy who should be higher than placed on this list.

    6. Dick Cheney

Of course, the evil mastermind himself.

    7. Robert Gates

We have no idea if he's even a conservative at all.

    8. John Roberts

For context, they put Antonin Scalia at #62, switch Roberts with Scalia and I'll be a little happier.

    9. John McCain

Campaign Finance, illegal immigration, opposition to the Bush tax cuts: Not a conservative.

    10. Mitt Romney

Certainly wasn't running as a conservative when he was gunning for Kennedy's senate seat. Although he's had a change of heart since, but like McCain and Giuliani, he's nowhere near being president, then we'll talk.

I'm telling you, they compiled this list by throwing darts on a dartboard or by drinking lots of beer and pulling random names out of a fishbowl. These kinds of things are the media equivalent of a sure thing. Generates lots of attention and publicity and you don't have to do any real work in the process. Bah!
