Will you knuckleheads get off the Obama being Muslim thing. The man is NOT Muslim. He was born in America, Hawaii to be specific. The school he attended in Indonesia was a public school. Fox News put out the story of the school being muslim. They retracted the story when it was proved to be untrue. If you don't want to vote for him then don't. But do it because you disagree with him on issues. Not because of rumors and untruths.

I do not understand how people can be so negative. Evidently some people have not read enough about Barack's background. I have just to listen to him and learn how he intends to make the needed changes in these United States so that we are once again functioning like we have good sense. Go Barack

In what many consider to be a sign of desperation due to the increase of Obama support in the polls, Hillary Clinton's campaign struck with a new smear tactic recently which some blacks consider to be racist. Many are stating that her underlying tone and tactic reflect her subliminal opinion that all black men are drug dealers....even Barack Obama ! After her co-campaign chairman Bill Sheehan 'resigned' for making the drug dealer comment, Clinton's strategist, AKA her Karl Rove, continued to make drug dealer accusations during a cable news appearance while he was supposedly apologizing for the comments, but was quickly exposed for his tactic by John Edwards strategist Joe Trippi..

National talk-radio shows began raising the issue of Hillary's racist view on Friday. It also raised the question that if Bill Clinton was so 'pro-black', why as President was he responsible for setting the federal crack cocaine penalties to be 8 times harsher than powder cocaine users, knowing that crack cocaine was more of a black used drug as compared to powder cocaine which is more used by whites. A person convicted of possession of 5 grams of crack could be sentenced to up to 8 years in prison while in order for a person to be sentenced to 8 years with powder they would have to have 500 grams. The imbalance of this Clinton law was reviewed recently by the U.S. Courts and is being overturned.

It is odd to offer advice to the person you didn't endorse. Maybe he is sincere and thinks that it might be helpful when Obama is ready to be President?

Because of events in my life recently, I am a very grateful man. Also, I am hate-free. It has been a long time since I have given someone that kind of power over me.

I avoid negative toxic people and situations at all costs. Not true for my "virtual" stalker... who should be around soon. He now believes I am "Wes" Clark and has incorporated me in his grandiose Clinton conspiracy theory. (He has proven to be a good exercise in love and compassion for me.) I am proud of him for being able to "embrace" the use of paragraphs lately. I personally don't read a word he says...a friend of mine reads his rhetoric and passes on what he finds amusing.

Politicians always seem to say silly things, whether it is an election year or not. I think his comments are more coincidental than anything else. We all say silly things, but we are not under the same scrutiny any of these people are. Our silly comments are usually in front of people who know us well and they see it for exactly what it is.

I think he was sincere and I think your observations were as well.

I am the grandmother of four bi-racial teenaged boys who have read Obama's book and received much inspiration from it. I hope voters look beyond the rhetoric of "dirty politics" and see a man who will return dignity to the oval office. Obama practices what he speaks--what a breath of fresh air!

Perhaps I am still a little naive...this is the first election I have followed in my 45 years. I guess when I am happy, as is often the case, I am free of cynicism. Who knows?...By the time the election is over, I may feel very differently about the whole process. I appreciate your comments. I have always followed the news in general, but politics is very new to me and I find it exciting. This coming Saturday, I get to work at Hillary's campaign headquarters here in San Francisco. I like where I am at with politics at the moment. You and David Knowles teach me little and big things all the time that I would never consider. You have helped make the experience invaluable. So, I guess in a way, you will get to watch me grow up politically. I often forget that it is a VERY serious business. It's just hard for me to view everyone as so calculating and cold...even though that may be true. I will learn...as I am a quick-study. I keep an open mind as I know I am mistaken sometimes.

Thank you! It is just my nature. I do get frustrated a little sometimes and discouraged, but I think it is a natural part of the process. I'm kind of a kid at heart.

I use "Mr. Clark" because my legal name is Sandy Clark and if I used "Sandy" it changes people's perception of where I am coming from and who I am. (They think I am supposed to be a girl.) I am the last of seven boys and my parents named me Sandy...after Sandy Koufax. They didn't realize that was not his legal name...it was Sanford Braun.

Now, you have me curious about the Tom Clancy character you referenced. Any particular book?

I think that Obama has riuned his campaign by allowing "OPRAH" to windstorm his campaign. Oprah should concentrate helping heal the rapes and battering of the school girls Oprah has recruited for her "prestigious" school located in Africa.

Oprah had handpicked these rapist and batterers, and she should be blamed for these acts. She bankrolled the whole thing and left the school girls to be put in a dangerous situation. If Oprah did this in the United States, she would be tared-and-feathered. Everyone should get a grip. Jews, Christians and Muslims share the same basis for their spirtual strengths ad they worship the same God. They also share the same religious history and "saints" Abraham, Moses, David etc. The Muslims and Christians also share the same religious revered persons including Jesus, Mary etc.

I am disappointed in that Mr. Obama does not talk more about the similiarities in the true practice of Christianity and Islam rather than to distance himself from the other side of his blood family.

I am sure that he found alot of his spirtual basis while in Indoesnia among the common people.

No one talks about Guiliani's family connection to the Mafia terrorists or any other possible connection any of the other candidates might have by accident of birth.

Is "conservative" another word for narrow-minded, racist, close-minded, hateful, suspicious, etc.? I am a conservative, and I believe that the Senator is more electable than most of the other candidates in this race put together. The polls and the crowds that turn out for Obama suggest the same.

No doubt, we have some pretty strong "anti" women, blacks, gays, etc. in this county. But in this great country, there are enough people across the board who have made it plain, that this is not your grandpa's America of old.

Nonetheless, I know about the naysayers on both sides of the fence. I think that they just might be pretty amazed at the end of this political day. As a matter of fact, we good old conservatives (at least, the conservatives that I know)know that the pundits, the reporters, commentators are not the authors of history.

Obama people, do not let the limited minds of others disuade you from your efforts. If the Senator was not electable, no one would be talking about him. Most of these negative commentators never expected him to get this far. And perhaps, I am wrong, but he has run the most exiciting campaign since Robert Kennedy.

Thanks Oprah. I know that you know that you are not out of your league. You are in a league all by yourself.

If Oprah's endorsement did not mean anything, no one would even mention her name. Please continue to minimize her effect in this campaign, if you will. Many fights have been lost, because of the minimization of one's opponents, thinking the same old way, about a very different world.

By the way, you figure if Jesse Jackson can win South Carolina with his rapping and rhyming, why would Senator Obama not win, with an increased black electorate there, and a past evidencing his quiet commitment to all people. Further, his message resonates with all but the most hardest of hearts.

Please tell me what Obama has done? He was elected to the senate and was in the house of representatives but I don't think he has done a darn thing for Illinois. Writing 2 books and I am not sure he did this but anyway he decided to run for President Someone told him he was good .Maybe he should step back and do the job he was elected to do.Just my observation.
