Note From AOL: Our weekly survey was restarted again on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 10PM ET. We will be launching a new version of this poll shortly that includes third-party presidential candidates.
Rick is letting politics from the past control his thinking and is willing to throw away his vote in a futile attempt to bring in a reformer. But what can a reformer do in the present climate in Washington? Nothing.... that the powers that be, will not allow him/her to do. So, Pick the best of the possible, And hope for the best. That is your only recource at this time. You all must understand. Most voters will go with the wishes of the party to which they belong and you know the disasterous results of that from the last election debacle, lets not do that again. Read the following editorial, It is exactly what I have been preaching for ages. Alternatives? Don't tell me, I already know the only answer to this problem.
Capitalism's Enemies Within. By Robt.J Samuelson Washington Post.
The mayhem on world financial markets, it is becoming clear that capitalism's most dangerous enemies are capitalists. No one can have watched the "subprime mortgage" debacle without noticing the absurd contrast between the magnitude of the failure and the lavish rewards heaped on those who presided over it. At Merrill Lynch and Citigroup, large losses on subprime securities cost chief executives their jobs -- and they left with multimillion-dollar pay packages. Stanley O'Neal, the ex-head of Merrill, received an estimated $161 million.
Everyday Americans will conclude (rightly) that this brand of capitalism is rigged in favor of the privileged few. It will be said in their defense that these packages reflected years of service, often highly successful. So? It's not as if these CEOs weren't compensated in all those years. If you leave your company a shambles -- with losses to be absorbed by lower-level employees, some of whom will be fired, and shareholders -- do you deserve a gold-plated send-off? Still, the more serious problem transcends the high pay itself and goes to the wider consequences for the economy.
Wall Street's pay practices perversely encourage extreme risk-taking that can destabilize the economy. Subprime mortgage losses may simply be chapter one. Now there are signs of problems involving securities known as "credit default swaps." Never mind the details. Concentrate on the possible fallout. If banks and investment houses sustain more losses, the nation's credit system will be further wounded and so will the economy. The Federal Reserve cut its key overnight interest rate yesterday from 4.25 percent to 3.5 percent -- a huge move -- in part to shore up this wobbly credit system.
By "Wall Street," I mean all the commercial banks, investment banks, mutual funds, hedge funds and the like that comprise the financial sector -- but particularly investment banks. Pay is eye-popping. In 2007, Lloyd Blankfein, chief executive of Goldman Sachs, received compensation estimated at $68 million. But pay is also heavily skewed toward annual "bonuses" based on the profits that traders and bankers generate. I asked Johnson Associates, a compensation consulting firm, for typical Wall Street pay packages. The results describe "managing directors" based in New York with 10 or 15 years experience. Most would be in their 40s.
Here are estimates for 2007:
Investment banker: $2.1 million, consisting of $275,000 in base pay plus $1.2 million in cash bonus and $625,000 in long-term bonus. (An investment banker helps firms raise capital by selling new stocks and bonds and also advises on mergers and acquisitions.)

I congratulate Bill C. on his attempts to aid RP. But ...With nearly half the states already making their choices known, And still at only 20%? But do not let me stop your wishful thinking. For that is about all it will amount to. My choice right now is the leader, Hillary Clinton. And why? First: she is not from a wealthy family. Second: She has worked her entire life for good causes for this country. Look it up yourself. Third: She is a real American and it is time we allowed a woman to bring some reality into our Democracy. Fourth: She will have the advise of the most knowledgeable political mind of our time. (Her husband). She has already demonstrated her willlingness to fight for our healthcare. I am sure she will also fight for the rights of the Blue Collar and labor classes. What ever you imagined she has done, not one single accusation was proved correct in one of the most intense and costly investigations ever mounted by a political party, and it accomplished nothing but disclosed unfounded accusations. It is a shame so many still believe the garbage spread by their enemies, and look at those accusers now, They have all lost any legitimacy they may have had at one time. So.... Out of a list of POSSIBLES, I pick Hillery, and will probably vote for her in the election. Only time will tell. But the writing is on the wall right now and is not likely to change much. Hillery has the strength to stand up against party politics and she will. Obama? sorry, but He is so lacking in political clout as to follow any politician with whom he thinks is his friend. He is unaware that all his friends in Washington are owned and controlled by lobbyists. Don't waste your final vote on another Ross Perot. I did and see what I got for it. A Socalled religions person who is from an the most self phantasy, elitist, families ever produced by our most expensive and elitist Universities. One who is dedicated to; One World Rule. And has little consideration for our democracy of the people. He has proven his beleif that the elite should rule and the herd follow.

Hey Glen You don’t know much about the Clintons do you? I can’t believe you had the insight to vote for Perot! “What ever you imagined she has done, not one single accusation was proved correct in one of the most intense and costly investigations ever mounted by a political party, and it accomplished nothing but disclosed unfounded accusations.” “The Fox guarding the Hen House. Think about what you are saying here. But the writing is on the wall right now and is not likely to change much. Hillery has the strength to stand up against party politics and she will.” She is the “Party” If you do not like to read books like 1984, there is a movie out you can watch. “A Socalled religions person who is from an the most self phantasy, elitist, families ever produced by our most expensive and elitist Universities. (Bush correct) One who is dedicated to; One World Rule.” You really need to educate yourself on the Clintons, she is for the chip, telling you what is best for you, like Romney, she is for sub grade medical coverage, and Bill Clinton sold his soul to the NWO in the Late 1970’s. Have you ever wondered why we haven’t had an intelligent president since JFK. Do you want another BUSH/Clinton White House? Be serious. No bull, No insults. If you want to vote for her go right ahead, it is/was a free country for now. REMBER: Those who are unaware are unaware of being unaware. Go Ron Paul

The MSM candidates, or the usual suspects as the police so name their favorite people, carry aliases like Hillary Clinton, barack Obama, and that country boy from North Carolina, and they are known to all who have ears to listen and eyes to see; however the real dangerous culprits are those who claim to be true conservatives, but who are really raving zionists and Israeli-firsters ... nothing wrong with being for one's own country, but whenever someone resides in one country and does the bidding of another country ... well there is often a problem of first loyalty, and to whom does one owe allegience to.
we have already catered too much in the past to getting involved in the Middle East, not necessarily for our own good, but rather for the intents and purposes of another nation and not our own. we are generally recognized as the bully on the block and soon, if not already, bad things are going to happen to us, and many Americans do not seem to be aware of the dangers inherent in that scenaro.
Ron Paul has a plan to set us free from the many problems we are facing, mostly problems of our own making, in many cases. We simply cannot go on and on like we have for the past 50 or so years ... constantly getting into wars and trying to pay for them by borrowing from otner nations or simply printing more paper; besides having thousands of our people killed or maimed for life. This national lifestyle has to stop before it is too late.

To those commenting on my posts. First to ED. I beleive I have a very good idea of what the Clintons will do , or at least, attempt to do. You are forgetting, or never knew, her medical plan was the same as one that has been successful in Hawai-i for some years now. Politics stopped it. I am sure she will insist on as good a plan as will be acceptable in Washingtons politics. I firmly beleive she will not become the toady of the lobbyists anymore than Bill was. And will lead her own band to make a successful ochestra. She is a strong woman, that was proved when she accepted her husbands stupid escapade and stood up for him in the political furor raised by his enemies. God help us if all the politicians only had a BJ. And were not more involved in much worse petty private scandals unknown to the rest of us. How do you suppose those poor women like Monica and her mother make a living? Working those circles and Bill sure was not alone but the only one caught.
Next , To the RP. faithful,. As I have said before. Unless something happens to bolster his popularity, he is a dead duck like Perot. And I will not waste my vote on a duck. But, even if he won the election. What chance does he have against the power politics in Washington? Not much. He has not been able to bolster his recognition to that of a "has been", like Rudy! Or even one as acceptable as McCain. I beleive even he, would make an acceptable president. He might even turn our country around a bit and get it heading in the right direction. But I think he is too embedded in Washington politics to accomplish a great deal. It is time we let a woman clean out the outhouse in Washington, They are better at it than men. Less likely to take payoffs, or fall for the conn jobs so often promoted, in those halls. Yes, Bill did fall for the World Order started by Bush senior, but everyone is expected to make a few mistakes, Other than that, He ran an exemplary group and accomplished a great deal without running up hundreds of billions of debt. So, At the moment, Hillary it is, for me.

The usual Dem or Rep candidates have never faced any tough questioning from the MSM media and that is not by accident but rather by design.
However every candidate running for Office should be asked this simple question ... do you put America's interests above all other nations? And by that to mean, do you look at the real world out there and propose or suggest whatever actions are beneficial to the US.
Too many of America's leaders are globalists, people who have hidden agendas or purposes, and who sometimes carefully guide their plans to benefit those nations/peoples who did not elect them to office.
Our President must be an America-first leader and spokesman for the American people only and not beholding or obligated to any foreign entanglements or persuasions.
These people running for office will promise many wonderful things ... but not many of these promises will be fulfilled or remembered after the election.
Only Ron Paul speaks like he will uphold America and its traditional value system, which once prevailed before the era of the evangelicals and their great love affair with Israel. America must come home to these American shores and build up our best interests and protect what we hold dear before we again run off to foreign shores and become involved in the various tribal fights which infect virtually the entire third world. Foreign nation building is a scam and nation wrecker and always has been so, with billions of dollars missing or finding itself in the wrong hands while the fears and suffering of the native people continues unabated. Its time to elect a real American leader not just another MSM bought and paid for politician. Vote for Ron Paul.

Re read what you just said. Here is the most misunderstood fact of the whole BJ fiasco! Any informed American who was paying attention to what was transpiring in our country and especially Perot supporters, which you claimed you were, knew the Monica fiasco was just a “smoke and mirror” tactic. The reason why, “the political furor raised by his enemies” took place was, do you remember “the Buddhist Monk Scandal” that was when money donated to the campaign was sent through the Buddhist Temple, but actually the money came from Red China. Our “top secret” gyro’s (which enable a nuclear warhead to be guided long distance) disappeared. Red China was not able to deliver a nuclear warhead before then, which could hit the American Mainland, until then! They sure could shortly after that. A BJ from Monica sounded so much better, and saved our countries face.

For some educational reading google Texas straight talk. Articles from 1996 to present reveal the truth behind many govt programs and future endeavers. The below article explains just how the Clintons used smoke and mirrors to make us think they really almost had a balanced budget, when in reality we were just robbed once again.
August 20, 2001
What Happened to the Surplus?
The congressional budget office recently released figures showing that the projected federal budget surplus for this year will be $75 billion less than originally forecast. Some economists and politicians believe the federal government could slip into deficit spending in 2002, and that the Social Security and Medicare trust funds could be threatened if revenues do not increase. Yet the facts about federal revenues and spending are often obscured in the debate, and the reality of government irresponsibility goes unreported.
First, any budget surplus is a single-year surplus only. The federal government remains trillions of dollars in debt, and interest payments on that debt represented a whopping 17% of all federal spending in 2000. So we should not kid ourselves that the federal government is fiscally stable simply because a booming economy greatly increased federal revenues over the last few years.
Furthermore, even the single-year surpluses are illusory when we consider that the Clinton administration raided Social Security and Medicare funds to claim a balanced budget. In reality, even the record revenues of the 1990s could not keep pace with the voracious spending appetites of Congress and the administration. So Social Security and Medicare funds were moved around to cover the difference between what was collected and what was spent each year. These unconscionable raids on your retirement and health care dollars should never be allowed, yet the practice has become commonplace in Washington. The sad truth is that the so-called Social Security and Medicare trust funds do not really exist at all, and taxpayers have every reason to be anxious about the future viability of both systems. Many Americans still believe that the FICA portion of taxes withheld from their paychecks has been set aside for them, but in fact the government holds nothing but IOUs that depend completely on future revenues. Congress and the administration should be forced to keep Social Security and Medicare funds completely separate before ever declaring that the budget is balanced.
Some want to blame the shrinking surplus on the modest Bush tax cut, but declining revenues cannot be the result of rate reductions that do not take effect until 2002. Others point to the slowing economy as the source of the problem, as federal revenues for 2001 are expected to be $50 to $75 billion less than 2000. Yet the real reason the supposed surplus is disappearing is quite simple: Congress spends far too much. In fact, Congress will spend nearly $2 trillion in 2002, 11% more than it spent in 2001. Until the spending spree is brought under control, we should fully expect Congress to exceed its budget and resort to accounting tricks year after year.
American voters should understand that Congress will always find a way to spend every last dollar sent to Washington. Remember, politicians get votes by promising everything to everyone, always at the expense of some other invisible taxpayers. Most politicians are unashamed of their unconstitutional pork-barrel spending, even highlighting during campaigns their "accomplishment" of spending more and more of your money. The federal government cannot maintain a budget surplus any more than an alcoholic can leave a fresh bottle of whiskey untouched in the cupboard. We must change our perception that a budget surplus is healthy for the economy, because every dollar parked in the federal treasury ultimately is spent by Congress. Those dollars could have been spent, saved, or invested in the private marketplace. With a spendthrift Congress, high federal revenues simply mean more federal spending. The only way to end the unconscionable waste is to drastically reduce federal revenues by cutting taxes. Voters need to regain control of the nation's finances by rejecting the big spenders at the ballot box.
Please educate yourselves were in alot of trouble here and the elitist special interest globalism groups UN, CFR, WTO, NATO, ICC, NAFTA, CAFTA and the many more organizations that want to see the USA fall under thier global power.
