It is amazing how many people accept public school indoctrination without ever doing the primary source research to at least get a snap shot of the truth. The very thing Ron Paul suggests was proposed by Southern Senators and killed by the North in the 1840s, compensated emancipation. The Abolitionists considered the Southerners a corrupte white race because of their integration with the Negroes. Their goal with John Brown and during the war by their own documents was genocide of white Southerners and deportation of former Negro slaves so the South could be resettled with "proper" white people. The South in 1860 sent peace commissioners to pay the Federal government for property lost in the process of secession. Lincoln jailed them and attempted to reinforce Ft. Sumnter to continue to impose tarriffs on the South. The South resisted. To say they "started" the war is like saying you shooting a man trying to rape your wife is you initiating hostilities and charging you with murder. Ron Paul is right. The nut cases are these national socialist types attacking him.

Old Abe was wrong to force seceding states to stay in the Union. If we had not the legal and moral right or responsibility to choose our National course in 1861, then we also didn't have it in 1776 and probably need to abolish our illegal government and petition the Queen to admit us back into the Commonwealth.

TWO White men died for every ONE black freed from slavery. Every other country in the world, including Canada, Mexico, England, France, Italy, Greece, and Germany, got rid of slavery without fighting a "civil" war to do it. It's a LIE that the Civil War was needed, particularly when almost a QUARTER of the White population DIED to do so.

This election, I'm supporting U.S. Representative Ron Paul (R-TX) for President of the U.S.A. He served in the U.S. Military. He has a 100% conservative voting record and is considered to be the MOST conservative member of the U.S. Congress today by virtually every conservative or liberal lobbying group in the country.
He's the only Republican Presidential Candidate that has consistently done virtually everything in his power as a Congressman to protect our Second Amendment right to "bear arms". He is beloved by gun owners around the U.S.A. He's for putting an end to ALL FEDERAL gun laws.
He's 100% pro-life/anti-abortion. As an Ob. Gyn., he's personally delivered 4,000 babies. As a Congressman, he’s continuously worked to reverse Roe v. Wade - the unconstitutional Supreme Court decision that led to the illegal legalization of abortion across America.
He's also for eliminating the following: 1. Federal Department of Education – He would leave education up to the States. 2. Federal Reserve – This Central Bank is neither “federal” nor a “reserve.” It is enriching the national and international banks, while we pay higher prices every year. He would abolish this institution once and for all. Many argue that this institution is the biggest scam pulled over the eyes of the American people, and the main cause of inflation in the U. S. economy. 3. CIA - A secretive organization that's allegedly been controlled by elitists and occultists for decades - without much Congressional oversight. Shouldn't intelligence be strictly a military issue any way?! 4. Medicare - Taking care of the people who are currently depending upon it, while working to end the program altogether. 5. Medicaid - Taking care of the people who are currently depending upon it, while working to end the program altogether. 6. Social Security - Those who've paid into it over the years will get their money, but the new generation (and anyone who so desires) can opt out of the system - leave it altogether - with the goal of shutting down the program for good. 7. Overseas Military Bases – He’s for closing down most, if not all, of our 750 overseas military bases that are draining us financially. Our Founding Fathers warned of the danger of "foreign entanglements." Japan, Europe and South Korea are wealthy enough to defend themselves militarily. 8. Patriot Act – He introduced legislation to overturn this unconstitutional legislation that greatly diminished our civil liberties that our Founding Fathers so greatly valued. 9. Federal Income Tax – Americans are overtaxed and the U.S. Government is an out-of-control “beast” with an ever-expanding appetite for the taxpayers’ hard-earned money. He will work to abolish the 16th amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which many argue, was adopted to the U.S. Constitution illegally. 10. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) – This tyrannical beast has abused enough Americans. Let’s put it to death once and for all.

Slavery was ending anyway, and over 500,000 American's died! for what? Don't compare the civil war to the revolution or WW2, those were FOR freedom.

Ron Paul is far from being a nut case as only the ignorant would view him in that manner. He's an intelligent person and knows exactly what he's talking about. Before people judge him and his statements, they should find out all the details and facts behind them. Knowledge is the way to a better & brighter future.

Lincoln was a patsy for the Rothschilds, if not a bastard Rothschild himself. The "Civil" war was like all wars - a death for dollars scheme by the banking and aristocratic elite.

It's interesting that the people who disagree with Paul use character assassination and name calling while the people who agree with him use history. hmmm
It was constitutional to secede. All other western countries had ended slavery peacefully (Lincoln sure did know that war is the health of the state!). Paul is completely within the boundaries of academic historical debate. Read the constitution and stop believing the US-President-as-superman history stories. There are a lot of "versions" of history out there. Turn off the TV, open your minds.
Of course the southern states would not have continued with slavery if there had been no war. A lot of slave holders knew that the slavery system was doomed by industrial developments.

Of course the southern states would have eventually freed slaves without a war. Many slave holders knew that the slavery system had to end because of industrial developments. And many were against it morally but needed time to establish a better economic & social environment in which freed slaves could live as citizens. The Reconstruction really made a mess of it. Speak the truth to Power Ron Paul!

Only be concerned with the people the media supports. They crucify the others for a reason. Erwin Schiff, Ron Paul, JC,
Ron Paul has good ideas but has an Archie Bunker way of communicating them. It's unfortunate that Americans see only the package rather than the content.

Everyone NEEDS to read the book, "A Nation of Sheep." Otherwise, you're just a sheep. Keep following the herd and being scared, thinking your government will protect you when it just keeps taking away your freedom. Argue against the ideas of the book and the founding fathers and then leave the U.S. because you don't support the constitution and that's what it's about, our rights and freedom.

"Lincoln was wrong, because he was serving the plans of the Zionic Rothschilds. These jew banksters financed BOTH sides of the Civil War. Whoever won, they would win. Lincoln PLAYED in their hands. Instead, he should have resolved the conflict by diplomacy NOT war. War is the money making machine of these international gangsters. Lincoln was NOT against slavery. Ron Paul IS RIGHT. AOL has become a reduct of clueless turds, israeli trolls, and NWO gatekeepers and lickers. And of course, George Boosh is an international war criminal and genocist."

'Confederate brigadier general James Chesnut was informed by Wheeler's cavalrymen of a crime they discovered that was far worse. The home of a family identified as the "M's" was found plundered.A party of seven Federals had come upon only Mrs.M and her teenaged daughter at home. They tied up the mother and and each then proceeded to rape the daughter.By the time Confederates arrived, the girl was dead and the mother was out of her mind. The Yankees were overtaken on the road by the Southern troopers, who shot them down, cut their throats, and left the bodies with a sign that read,"THESE ARE THE SEVEN."'--from the book "War Crimes Against Southern Civilians" by Walter Brian Cisco.Page 152.

Ron Paul is right on as usual, regardless of what the majority of ignorant/indoctrinated Americans think. Slavery was ended and phased out peacefully all over the world, besides Lincoln and his Yankee industrialists cronies could have cared less about the negro in bondage. As a matter of fact Lincoln and his boys cared as much about the plight of the black man just about as much as George Bush and Dick Cheney care about the average Iraqi. History has proven that nine out of ten wars are about money and power. The "moral imperative" is thrown in to cover the elite's collective asses. After all, one must have always have the "moral high ground" when invading and looting other peoples homes and murdering and raping the civilian populous.
Lincoln was the first American tyrant, their were many more after him, both Democrat and Republican.
"War is a racket"... Major General Smedley Butler USMC, 2x Medal of Honor winner.
