Richardson Out

I wouldn't trust Bill Richardson on a "stack of Bibles". When Hillary Clinton was ahead, he stood up for her in the debates because he was anticipating a position on her cabinet just as he had been appointed earlier by his then good friend, Bill Clinton. Then, his true colors showed when the tide turned and people who didn't even know Barack Hussein Obama voted for him because they were so inspired by his speeches" -- speeches that seldom included any concrete evidence that this man had any experience, judgment or knowledge that would qualify him to run for the highest position in this country. But old Bill was getting anxious and saw the writing on the wall so he retorted to Obama, again anticipating with avarice and greed a "Position" on the Barackk Hussein Obama ticket. He is pathetic and I have absolutely no respect for him. Apparently he thinks it is okay for Obama to have so much faith and confidence in that piece of garbage he considered his devoted mentor and wicked preacher, Jeremiah Wright, the racist bigot who loathes and detests America and the white generation. I hope he will not be too disappointed when Hillary wins because his ass will never be offered a position in her cabinet -- and THAT SHOULD SERVE HIM WELL!!! What goes around comes around, Bill, so GOODBYE, you idiot.

I would have to think Bill is going to endorse another candidate or just hope for another position dealing in foreign affairs. I honestly believe it will be America's loss if we do not keep him arround for foreign relations. He is probably one of the best negotiators we have had in a long time and understands how they think in the middle east. A very respectable man, but not what we need as a leader. I hope he sticks around.

I don't think he'll run in 4 yrs. He may be the veep by then or have an important role in a democratic admin.

I Think Richardson is doing something good instead of those illusional candidates like Gravel and Kucinich and bowing out so that the heavy weights can really battle it out. He's got great foreign Policy experience. I personally think he's going to be a VP candidate for either Hillary or Obama, but I think its gonna be Obama and a Obama Richardson ticket can be very hard to beat by any Republican.

The deadline for filing for the open Domenici NM Senate seat is in another week. He may be considering that. I hope he is. He'd be a favorite to turn that seat blue.

I hope he will endorce Obama, and if Obama wins the nomination for President include him. I think he would be important to Obama's staff with his ethnic roots. I think he could probably help stop the drug trafficing and Boarder Crossing.

Watch how many candidates start speaking with a Mexican accent. Si, su Pueda and excetera. Bill doesn't want to be responsible for Hillary's win or loss in Nevada. In a caucus, the support goes to whoever the candidate suggests. If Bill is out then all three candidates are viable and the Hispanic vote is confused. This should have been expected. The status quo wants "Illegal Immigration!" If Edwards is for America, then he can win. Strong on national security, strong on defending the Constitution, and focused on keeping America united and safe. No tears allowed.

Good for Gov. Richardson! Bad for America !! Here was one of our contries best hopes for a knowledgable and competent leader. A real old fashioned American, welling to listen to all view points yet, in the end, doing what he perceived as the"right thing". Not just for all Americas, irregardless of our differnces, but also for our neighbors around the world. Belive it or not, there was a time, when America and it's leaders were respected, and considered to have integrity(Washington,Adams, Franklin,Jackson,Lincoln,Roosevelt, Truman... just the short list!). Although I had hoped Richardson could have stayed in the game until the National Convention, this will not be the case. So, thank you Mr. Richadson, for showing us that integrity and comppassion stll exsist.

I am friend of Bill (FOB) and the former Governor of Nambé Pueblo, which is a Tewa Indian Tribe located in Northern New Mexico. During the time that I was the Governor of my Tribe, Governor Richardson was always very supportive of all the Native people in our state. He was a true statesman and showed our Tribal leadership and people great honor and respect for our sovereignty. He also welcomed our voices and wisdom in his administration. He made sure we were not the forgotten Americans and he had more Native Americans serving in key levels of his administration and in key appointments.

I served as his appointed chairman of the Commission on Indian Affairs and on his Council for Physical Fitness and Health. As his friend, I hope he will continue to be active in public service, as he has a wealth of ability as a distinguished leader in world affairs. His role in the United Nations makes him uniquely qualified to continue working on important matters for our nation.

He even wanted to help us Native Americans establish a United Nations facility for Native American Tribes so that we could have a national/international center too, so that the world could learn from our ancient wisdom, which has sustained our communities since time immemorial.

Governor Richardson was inspired by the idea that Tribes would someday have all of their flags flying over their own United Nations facility since although we are considered sovereign nations, none of the Tribes have a seat at the United Nations in New York City. The world could learn something from our leadership and I hope Governor Richardson can someday help us accomplish this too.

Bill is the heavyweight in this competition, in every way except media exposure and money. He set the standard as far as both foreign and domestic policy. Not one single other candidate has ever walked into a Sudanese rebel camp bristling with 14-yr-olds wielding AK47s and negotiated Red Cross volunteers' freedom. Nor have they been the head of a state and passed domestic tax laws creating jobs, or granted gay state employees the same rights as married straight ones, or joined forces with Schwarzenegger to get an alliance of Western governors to have their states follow the Kyoto Protocol when the federal gov't would have nothing of it.
Seriously, this guy was the real deal and the US is missing out without his leadership.

I meet Richardson in the first days of announcing his presidential bid. I was a believer and firm verbal supporter. He then published his complete immigration plan which had some very very good principals but with all that excellence he still was giving ammesty. Even with that, at least he recognized the problem. All other democrats choose to ignore it exist. Why do not the current setting Senators call someones hand on the FMCSA overridding the Senate vote and called 37 more mexican motor carriers up this week and said "Come On"...You can now operate in the U. S.

An Obama-Richardson ticket in November? Get real. Can't you see this week's poll, here on AOL, with Hillary at 51%, Obama at 34%, and "Edwards" at 11%? He's the one who ought to drop out next.

How about a Clinton-Obama ticket in November? That would be unbeatable. A woman and a black. That's real politics in action to give Republicans a kick in the ass.

Senator Richardson from New Mexico!

Yes, He should. He's the only politician on the horizon who has a proven track record & the vision to lead this nation in the manner necessary to re-focus on what this country needs to do survive in today's world. I would think once people find out about him, that he should receive tremendous support from the "baby boomer generation".

The media helped kill Richardson.

I think it's ironic that he is getting more exposure now that he's bowed out of the race than the media allowed him when he was in it. His contributions during the debate on Saturday were relegated to a one-liner - and people who didn't watch thought all he was good for was jokes.

I'm also kind of disgusted at the priorities in this country these days. It is about glitz,star power, celebrity and emotionality and certainly not substance. Obama, Clinton and Edwards all have great ideas and intent; but as a former Washington mover and shaker and current governor, Richardson blows them away in terms of experience and things accomplished.

Candidates promise "change" but there will be no change while the media censors (by omission) what's really happening and while we citizens are more interested in popularity contests vs. someone with some actual chops. Clinton "tearing up" on the trail was a non-issue, but received more coverage than anything Richardson did or said. Ridiculous. I hope Richardson rises again in the national/international arena. We need him!

I am impressed with the intelligent comments that have been placed here on Mr Richardson. I didn't know what his background was until the New Hampshire debate on ABC, but then, he wasn't allowed to speak! I have found out even more from your comments on here. I am a registered Democrat, and perhaps we need to reach him and ask him to NOT DROP OUT! and also we need to BACK HIS CAMPAIGN. We don't need show in the presidential office, we need intelligence and experience more than ever, and he has the ability to be effective besides.

I was saddened to learn about Gov. Richardson's decision to quit the race; but also glad that he was in the race because now the nation knows that he is one heck of a citizen who really cares about what happens in this great country and the kind of leadership it needs. I encourage the Governor to run for the vacancy on the Senate where his skills, knowledge and leadership is needed and can make those hard decisions for the nation and create changes for the better. He will still be able to help New Mexico as well as the nation as a Senator. He will certainly get my vote!
