Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul bested most of the Republican field in yesterday's Nevada Republican Caucus, finishing 2nd to former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney in what Romney might describe as a "Silver Medal in the Silver State."
As Ron Paul supporters have observed, you wouldn't know it to scan this morning's headlines. Like him or not, Ron Paul is newsworthy, and the drumbeat of "unfair treatment" from his supporters is justified. Mitt Romney has received similar treatment from the press, so the one-two punch here is instructive. Over at Politico, Romney at least rates the 6th headline, but with no blurb. Zip for Ron Paul. Isn't Ron Paul a politician?
As usual, Ron Paul owned Rudy Giuliani, nearly quadrupling the former national frontrunner's vote total. How is that not a huge story? Giuliani's campaign tries to marginalize his defeats by saying they didn't campaign there, but Nevadans know who Rudy is.
I think this clip about sums it up.
Update after the jump.
While researching "Videos of the Week", I came across the following clip from a local Fox affiliate. I post it not as a defense of Fox, but because it is significant to me that it is the #6 clip on Youtube today. The clip is called "What is the Ron Paul Revolution?"
Could this mean that people are trying to find out more about Ron Paul on their own? I'm going to keep an eye on this clip's stats.
Check back for updated stats. This clip is red hot. Unfortunately, Youtube only lists the first 5 linking sites. I am curious how much of this is people seeking out info on Ron Paul vs. existing Paul followers checking it out.
One of my readers posted her own blog about another candidate who's not getting a fair shake.
Update#2: Some of you expressed a wish to email Fox News. Here's the address: yourcomments@foxnews.com
Update#3: First, I now have proof that "Wish Belkin" is a real person! And you're welcome. Second, a couple of commentators feel that I am unfairly singling out Fox News. Read the piece, it isn't that long. I gave the Fox clip as an example, but I clearly said it was pervasive. Not only that, I balanced it with a pro-Paul clip from a Fox affiliate. So, yeah, I stand by my fairness.
FOX believes it's viewers aren't interested in the whole story? This is one viewer they've lost.

A book and a documentary about the suppression could go a long way towards waking people up to the fact that we Americans are being controlled by Big Media.

Let me say this, too: I appreciate the compliments from all of my readers, but I'd like to point out that a bunch of you turned on me when I had the audacity to report that a story existed about Dr. Paul's newsletters, buried at the end of a story entitled "Ron Paul Annihilates Fred Thompson" http://www.politicsdaily.com/2008/01/08/ron-paul-annihilates-fred-thompson/ I was too busy at the time to really respond, but I think that kind of reaction hurts your credibility. I didn't have time in that piece to go into the newsletter story, but it would be irresponsible not to acknowledge it's existence. I saw Dr. Paul's remarks on CNN about the newsletters, and I've seen a lot of old clips of him from the '80s and later, and the comments from those newsletters don't jibe with the Ron Paul that I have seen. Having said that, what measure of responsibility do you think he bears for that content? Why do you think he didn't put a stop to it? I can think of a few reasons, but I'd like to hear what you think.

I have heard Ron Paul speak several times and in debates quite often. He makes sense and at times more so than any of the others that are involved. The only bad part is Clinton is buying her way into Washington as well as several others, having more money than they know what to do with. And I don't think that Ron Paul has the necessary funds to do that. Ron Paul seems well spoken, and he would be way to HONEST TO HOLD THE POSITION OF PRESIDENT, after seeing what has been going on in that Office over the past many years. If you're not a Big Money Person, you won't make it in Washington. Think About It.

The Fox News reporters themselves need to remember that they will not be forgotten for taking part in this political censorship. In fact they should pray that Fox is never sold and we should boycott any news network who would employ Fox News reporters taking part in this censorship.

"See no Ron Paul, Hear no Ron Paul, Speak no Ron Paul." Yeah, Fox News is simply unbelievable. How much longer until they officially get classified as an "opinion channel"?

Hey out there america, does anyone really think and believe these primarys are not being managed, the results speak clearly, the question , how many of you are smart enough to see the manipulation of the results, by corporate america, for example. Hillary and oboma, are we sure they would make a president,no way, but the corporations know they make the ideal ones to compete against, they can not win a general election, those of you who think they can have not looked at this clearly, oboma and hillary are in the decision making circle now, they are the same old, do nothing, oboma has muslim backrounds and goes to church with farakahn, and hillary is still talking about monica, she walked away from healthcare, come on america, wake up, cnn and fox, spin for hillary and oboma, come on america, wake up, edwards is the only democrat who can win in the general election, this is the truth, and this will come to pass , should hillary and oboma be nominated, how many of you see this, and those of you who can not , then america is lost, freedom will be no more, you all must grow smarter, see the truth , let us all stop suffering from bad judgement, it is time to stand up , look at this for what it is, the only way this will stop, is for all, to become engaged, do not vote for someone, because of a sign in a yard or because someone tells you to, vote to win, john edwards is a real winner, he will do what needs to be done, do not waste your vote for hillary and oboma, it will not serve us all, let us move togather and vote for edwards, he will do what has to be done, god bless you all, and god bless our america.

The real news is that 95% of Americans are too stupid to vote. This guy would make America a better place and allow you to keep you Federal income tax, it's like the average US citizen is just a Hell bent on waiting in line to vote for someone to screw them!
