When the Florida Legislature backed up the primary to an earlier date, they in essence stole my right to vote in the primary. My vote as a Democrat will not count, as the electoral college has said that they will not cast a vote on our behalf. That's ok with me as I intend to vote the bums out in the General election next November. We will see who is the smartest one then. We will have the last laugh.

It's not the state, it's not the legislature. It's the democratic party leadership that "stole" your vote. And they didn't steal it, what they did was say to all the voters in Florida, "we the democratic party leadership don't care about what voters want, we only care about our petty little bickerings are, we just want control, more control, so we controlled the election by not providing any power to the voters." That is the legacy of the "Democratic" party--control, not voter's right. Remember, it was the southern Democrats that fought to keep slavery!

Florida and Michigan are relevant. Not counting our delegates is fueling the vitrole in politics which very well may continue onto the convention. Why would a Red State such as South Carolina hold such status. Michigan Matters. It's the DNC Exe. Board who made this decision. This is what we should remember.

Everyone forgets about the post civil war. It WAS the DEMOCRATS who killed blacks and set up the KKK in the southern states. NOT Republicans. I don't understand this BLIND following of the Blacks for the Democrats that tried to kill them all and reinstate slavery after the civil war!!!! What history books are they reading

The reason this could happen is that the constition does not address political parties and therefore they have been allowed to develope an unregulated life of there own. They are now more powerful than the constitution it's self. What is needed is a constitional revission commission to bring the document up to date so it is relevant in the reality of the 21st centuary.

I believe the current presidential campaign shows just how broken the system is. Because the constitution does not mention political parties they have been able to develop to the point where they now control the whole electoral process in this country. Every thing from controlling the voting district boundaries to when a state can hold a primary election that will be recognized by the national party. The only that we the citizens can regain control of the system is to demand that a constitutional revision commission be established to revise and bring the document into the reality of the 21st century.

I have as well as many pledged to make my voice and vote count. I changed my party affliation from Democrat to Independant in Florida because of the action of the DNP. I have not and will not contribute cash, time, support etc. as I normally do for any Democratic canidate. It was the Republican Leadership in Florida that made this move and the DNP has punished the Florida voter. I was on the fence on Hillary or Obama but after hearing him say Florida does not matter or count Hillary will get my vote.

Please. Let's never forget that we did NOT elect the current president...the Supreme Court did that in 2000 and as long as the Electoral College is allowed (which has far outlived its usefulness and intent) we, the people, by majority and popular vote, will NEVER, EVER completely and truly elect our president. Our votes mean nothing. However, we do have the best government that money can buy. If only we had 20/20 hindsight ahead of time. What a mess. We need someone with integrity, honesty, morals, goals, and more to lead us. Someone who scoffs at big business, big money, lobbyists. However, I never dreamed the day would come in our country wherein I would witness both a woman AND a Black contending for the presidency and be on the same ticket! Astounding! Now, if they would just support one another within their respective parties and stop being such jerks...ALL of them!

Obama is a good man, not quite ready to be President. Kennedy is a bad man, no big deal of an endorsement from him and his ilk. I respect Mia Angelou who supports Hillary much more than Teddy Kennedy. Go Hillary. I am so proud of her. Experience does count. You have to know what you are doing to create change. Not back to the 60's but to the properous and peaceful wonderful 90's? not so bad

I was watching MSNBC tonight, and Chris Matthews observed that if the Democrat race remains tight up to the convention, then you may see Obama or Clinton sue the DNC for the purpose of forcing the awarding of delegates.
On the one hand, the primary season is too friggin' early. The New Hampshire primary used to be the last Tuesday in February, the Illinois primary was the third Tuesday in March, and the California primary was the first Tuesday in June.
But it is wrong to take away a state electorate's say in the selection of a party's predidential nominee.
We ought to take a lesson from the U.K. If there is a vote of no confidence, or the Prime Minister declares an end to the government, the election is about 6 weeks later.
Of course, they don't have primaries as we know them. The party leadership selects the candidates to run for the House of Commons.

The Democratic Party just elected itself out of office with this egotistical, money-run, stupid decision in Florida -- the ground they lost four years ago! I've voted Democrat, and occasionally Independent, for 40 years. This year, their petty in-fighting and greed finally just lost my support. None of the candidates in ANY PARTY are truly looking to repair and rebuild a strong America. We are crumbling from inside like the Roman Empire. Our strenth and resources have been depleted, we are stretched thin and our economy suffers. Our own citizens are homeless, hungry, uneducated, cannot receive health care equal to that of a member of Congress - the representatives WE vote into office. I'm finally convinced now all Political Parties are the same. None of them represent a cross-section of the U.S. in any shape or form. Our middle class is basically nonexistent. All politicians know that money is what truly buys their votes. To add insult to injury, the Electoral System of voting for our top two leaders of what used to be a great nation is completely outdated. Now that we have the ability to count individual votes, let's do just exactly that! Let each of our votes count us as the valuable individuals who proudly call themselves AMERICANS. Note: I respected both Senators Clinton and Obama until the past couple of weeks. Their petty infighting has disgraced not only themselves, but also the offices they hold in front of the entire world. GOD BLESS AMERICA! I PROUDLY SUPPORT OUR TROUPS ALL OVER THE WORLD -- COME HOME SAFELY EVERYONE!

This is the first primary in 34 years that I did not vote. I had no reason to vote, because as a Democrat in Florida, my vote will not count. Who is to blame for this situation? The DNP. Will I vote for the Democratic candidate in November? Most likely I will not. Why would I cast a vote at that time for a candidate that I could not vote for in my state primary? The news here in Florida is reporting huge numbers of Democrats changing their party affiliation. I am so close to doing that myself. Guess what Dem leaders, this is going to bite you in the end.
