Iloved the song and the sentiment. It left me feeling hopeful instead of old and discouraged. I can hardly admit it, but I voted for Bush. I have been so disappointed and grieved over the state of our nation. I am no longer a republican. Yes we can...have hope. Will people at least vote? There has been such apathy and let,s face it ,the young especially, have not gotten involved. Will this change now? I hope to be voting for Obama along with my adult children and my Libertarian husband. We are a mixed family, an older nurse who is just entering the computer age, a retired old hippie husband who believes in legal MJ, a son and his wife who I would label as educated yuppies, a citified daughter who is a doctoral candidate,a small town daughter and her husband with redneck friends, a younger daughter who is a Greenpeace member ,who buys organic food.If Obama can give us hope then I think he can win.

The london times has discovered that in 2005 a company named Fintrade services, out of Panama, lent money to Mr. Obama's fundraiser in May 2005. Fintrade's directors include Ibtisam Auchi, the name of Auchi's wife. Auchi is a know corrupt business figure in England...

Make of it what you will, but Obama has more questions to answer as to his connection to Auchi and the real reason he opposed the Iraq war..

What made it particularly strange was that his words were being challenged.
