Barack Obama won the Virginia primary Tuesday, scoring an initial victory as he squared off with Hillary Rodham Clinton in the Chesapeake primary and Clinton tried to end a string of Obama wins that have put her campaign on the defensive.
And where is Hillary Clinton? Gone to Texas, to build a firewall:
...So where will she be? In El Paso, Texas, for a "Solutions for America" rally. And where will she be tomorrow? In McAllen, Robstown, and San Antonio, for more rallies ahead of the March 4 Texas primary. It's more evidence that Sen. Clinton is going to bet everything on stopping Obama in what her spokesman Howard Wolfson yesterday called "the all-important states of Texas and Ohio." To some observers, the Texas/Ohio strategy bears a resemblance to Rudy Giuliani's disastrous Florida strategy – at the very least, it's not the product of a winning, confident campaign...

The comparison to Rudy is apt. And she I'm sure is well aware how things worked out for him in Florida. I live in Ohio, and while she is leading now, we are going to get three weeks of negative news about the Clinton campaign implosion. I'm not sure her numbers here can survive that.
So the fact that she is embarking on this strategy means that all other options were worse. Let that sink in for a moment.

Dave, Your comments get more inane by the day. Comparing Hillary's campaign to Giuliani's is nothing but "spin". If Giuliani had been virtually tied for delegates with McCain going into FL, he'd still be in the race to the end. Hillary is hardly sitting out the race. She just knows where her strengths are and where they are not. They are not in states with huge black population, e.g. SC, LA, DC, MD, GA, AL. They are not in states that do not hold primaries, but caucuses that favor college students, the affluent, and political activists, which are all Obama strongholds. They are in states like Texas and Ohio, where Obama has to face large blocks of voters more concerned with their jobs, their health care, and their sons and daughters in the service, than they are about hearing a sermon from another Chicago politican. Stay tuned, Dave. Let's wait until all the votes are counted, not just the ones that favor Obama.

I'm not buying Obama's "change" campaign. Talk is easy. Getting the job DONE is another thing. Hilary has the experiance, the savvy, the political infastructure, and more importantly a concrete plan to really turn this country around. It is easy to get caught up in romantic ideas of "camelot", but I'm voting for sensible and realistic change. Hilary.

We are big on body language. And, last night spoke volumes. Obama, flew into Madison, bounded onto the stage, after the rousing victories in Virginia, Maryland and The District of Columbia. The packed house had been waiting for some time, but they didn't seem to mind. The agent for change, was worth waiting for, they figured. And, that speech gave them what they were waiting for.
Barack Obama hit a grand slam. They loaded up the bases for him, and he knocked it out of the park. Issues, you want issues, we'll give you issues. He spoke about the Economy. He spoke about Healthcare. He spoke about the security of Social Security. He spoke about "the war that never should have been authorized, never should have been waged". He spoke about the mozaic of his movement for change. He spoke about looking forward and not back. And, yes, he talked about CHANGE.
He praised John McCain, as an American hero. Then he stated their differences. But, he did it in a way that was so classy. If destiny is served, and these two meet in the contest for President of the United States of America, it will be a different kind of race than we've been used to these last few decades.

Wake up America! If Obama is the Democrat's nominee then, McCain will win. He has more experience, knows Washington, he is a senior senator (not a junior senator in Pampers), he has experienced real war, he is up to date on issues like the economy, health and education.
