February is Barack History Month. The man is on fire. He was expected to dominate the caucuses and primaries this month - but his decisive win in Maine, a Clinton-friendly state, must have surprised even him. ("Remember the Maine" has a whole different - and happier - meaning in his campaign.)
Still there's one demographic that's up for grabs. Will they get the Barack fever?
Major props to my pal Mario Correa (he of the perfect handwriting) for collaborating on the lyrics with me. And I could not have done this without the support of my longtime band mates Mario "Thumbs Hendrix" Torres (on guitar) and Shankar Tablaba (on the "barackas"). I am not now nor have ever been interested in a solo career. (Suck it, JT!)
As always, kudos to the genius of both my producer Will Hines and the not-always-grumpy editor Doug Morrione. (Will someone be his Valentine?) Thanks also to Tim Meyers and Justyn Davis for magically transforming my bedroom into such a rocking set.
WASHINGTON -President Barack Obama announced Thursday that he'll host a White House summit next month on combating the chronic joblessness that continues to be a drag on a struggling economy. "We are...

"Remember the Maine " Not a bad idea, but just remember the facts and how important they are. Maine has a population of 1,317,253. Of that number 3475 attended the caucuses Obama won 2079 Hillary won 1396 Difference 683 Hardly the "incredible"victory that Obama's campaigned declared.
Just another reason to abolish the caucus system which is attended mostly by activists and therefore, in this case, a million people are effectively disenfranchised. Just like the Obama supporters would like to see the over million and a half voters of Florida disenfranchised because the primary was moved up even though the voters had no say in it. And Gov Dean is staying out of it. What a coward Howard is!

I say to all the people out there who think this guy is our messiah. First, the revelation of God states that Jesus Christ will come riding the clouds and will lift all the elected and the earth will die. It does not say that he will be doing stump speeches about hope. Let's get real. If you click messiah and obama- you will get over a million idiots thinking that this is the second coming. The second coming does not get a lawsuit filed on Febuary 11, 2008 from his sexual accuser, Larry Sinclair. The lawsuit is the end of the Obama's movement. Wait and see.

well today Rep. Lewis who previously backed Clinton switched to Obama...he was pressured by Jesse Jackson jr. who asked him "do you want to be the only one responsible for not putting a black in the white house"?...now how's that for prejudism...no mention of qualities of candidates...jus white vs. Black....anyway, Lewis yielded....God forgive you Mr. Lewis...you are sir what they call a racist. Now I guess it's certain that MLK jr. lived and died in vain. He was a good man who I admired greatly...he dreamt of whites and blacks being equal and "NOT" being judged by the color of their skin.....you sir are no MLK jr. You are a racist and that makes me sick because I was brought up to always treat everyone equally regardless of race, creed etc. May God forgive you....it appears that prejudism and racism are on the rise again starting right in Washington, DC

What Does He believe in?What people does he surround himself with? what his opinion of people in the past? Martin luther King or Malcom X. What is opinion of Teddy Rosevelt or John f. Kennedy. At What point Will he Defend are Country From terroist?... I agree War is a very ugly thing but there would have never been an America without one. its a tragidy when soilders die, half a million in WWII. BUT SINCE THE WAR WAS WON THEY DIED HEROES! and American's were so proud of what was accomplished despite the 55 million who died. when does Obama think it will be time to fight against terrorist and those who support them??? WHEN THE FIRST NUKE IS DELIVERED TO U.S. SOIL???...

I live in Texas, used to live in the valley, and i find it hard to believe Obama will win the Lation vote in Texas. I would love to see him win it, since i'm personally a supporter. I don't think it's impossible, since some of my hispanic family supports him, but i also feel that it just want happen. The only hope is the young lation voters, those who haven't been jaded by life and can see clearly when change is possible.

Obama and Clinton are both egotistical fools who are handing the presidency to McCain. They are both un-electable. Sorry to say but it is true. The United States is simply not mature enough to handle a Black or Female president. If these two really wanted the democratic party to win the White house they both should have stepped aside and let Edwards go for it. He was the only Democrat that had a chance with mainstream America. The truth is, for all intents and purposes, virtually all Black people will vote for Obama. So will "enlightened" college students and post grads. The former makes up only 14% of the population and the latter 5% maybe. Simply not enough. Hard line old school liberal Democrats and vitually all femnists will vote for Clinton. Again, simply not enough numbers to win a general election. It will be a close race between the two and whomever gets the win will most likely take the other as running mate. It won't make any difference. McCain will win by a landslide. Don't hate me for saying it, I'm a registered Independant voting Libertarian.

I voted for Hillary in the primary. I think she would make,a determined president. But if Obama gets the nomination I will vote for him. Some commentary by a writer stated recently that Barack Obama cannot stand up to an old warrior like McCain. Obama is too timid or too respectful of McCain. Hillary knows what Republicans can do. They have already accused her of practically everything possible and like she once said, "I'm still here."
