Just a few days ago, the notion seemed far-fetched at best. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton on the same ticket (choose your name order)? Impossible. The race had turned too ugly, too personal. Hillary supporters vowed to back McCain if Obama was chosen as the nominee. Obama supporters did the same. A convention fight was assured, playing right into Republican hands.
Well, in an appearance on the CBS's "The Early Show," Hillary Clinton once again gave voice to the idea of sharing the ticket with her Democratic rival:
Readers of this column know that I think Barack Obama is the better of the two candidates, yet I confess that the idea of a shared ticket, whatever the order, is starting to make a lot of sense. While Hillary's win is not to be discounted in terms of momentum, the fact is that nothing really changed in the delegate race. There's no happy ending to this contest, I'm afraid. The future of this race involves lawsuits, acrimony, and a hardening of bitterness between the two camps. All that will damage the party, whatever talking heads like Paul Begala might say.
So who should be on top? Age before beauty? Change before experience? Flip a coin. As I've said time and time again, their political priorities are strikingly similar. They each have strengths. Together, they'd unify the party, and crush McCain. Apart, it's hard to say.
But it takes two to tango, and Clinton seems pretty set on top-billing, while Obama believes mega-merger talk is still a long way off:

Oh, certainly hope most Clinton supporters are more forgiving than I am. Being called a racist for daring to point out anything negative about Barack Obama is going to ring in my ears for at least 4 years...plenty of time for McCain to be president, clean up the worst of Bush's mess, appoint a sane judge to the USSC, and not run for a second term, without a clear successor. Then maybe Hillary can run again.
And gee whiz, Knowles who would have ever thought you preferred Obama? What a shock. The daily, sometimes hourly genuflecting at the altar of St. Barack of Southside should have tipped us off, I guess.
Why would she be VP to him? That's just a slap in the face to her and all her supporters.

BTW, Hillary looks tired this morning--probably celebrating last night.
Both she and Obama have been working their asses off. I look at HillaryClinton.com, and I see her schedule, and it's....astonishing!!
McCain, he probably falls asleep in his recliner at 7 pm every night. Boy, he sure is lucky he can save money and not have to fight.
One last thing: Please take note of Obama's San Antonio speech from last night. I know he is tired, the bright lights were on him, and he was probably agitated about losing, BUT, he looked very....changed to me. I heard something new in his voice, and I saw something unfamiliar in his eyes, a brand new hardness and sharpness and.....sorry....darkness. Please everyone, watch Obama's San Antonio speech to see what I mean. Also, he kept warning about the world watching, in a rather threatening manner, like: "Listen you people, don't say I didn't tell you so."
Absolutely no one can disagree with me unless they watch Obama's San Antonio speech from last night. Obama looks and sounds like a changed person. His FACE changed.

How could people of this country even consider putting a muslim in office. Someone who will not even

At face value, the idea of this dream ticket is sensational!
However - I'm skeptical that Senator Clinton's comments are genuine. I cannot help but wonder if this is yet another self-serving action to garner support from voters torn b/t the 2 candidates.
As a young woman during her tenure as first lady, I struggled watching who I thought was a strong, ambitious woman, passively humiliated in front of the nation. Nonetheless, moving forward over the years, I looked forward to her campaign. However, over the months, I have been left with the feeling, that again, she is so driven by ambition, that she will stop at nothing.
The nomination was clearly hers to lose, and despite wins last night, she has floundered. She let her campaign sink to the level of those in Washington she claims to oppose. Her distortions of the truth are all too frequent, and I doubt she even realizes how much she has changed and disillusioned voters like myself. I would have liked nothing else than to see our first female President. However, I need her to have more integrity.
If she really loves our country – she will concede. She has turned too many against her, and her nomination would not prevail against Senator McCain. She is dividing the party too deeply, and for once in her life – she needs to put her ambitions aside, and do what’s best for the country.

OBAMA over-spent 4-1 dollars to woo inner city blacks and teenagers (non-taxpayers) who fit the idea of "Idol" and pop star concert.
Hate to break up the party, but this is REAL LIFE. And the real life taxpayers have spoken all over the Nation. We want an experienced leader in REAL LIFE like Hillary Clinton, who knows what needs to be done, and how to do it. No time for a novice speechmaker, we need a doer, to restore America.

OBAMA IS A SORE LOSER... While Clinton always congratulates Obama on his wins, his immediate response to her victories was basically to say that voters in Texas and Ohio and Rhode Island don't matter since he lost them.
And that my friends is just another reason why he has no business being president. He is arrogant and childish very much like Bush.

Katherine, I agree. It's not going to be easy to forget this unprecedented biased coverage. I have never seen anything like it. I thought Bush got a free ride, but this more than a free ride, it's like they are paying HIM to take the ride!
He does look changed.
He quit smoking for one thing.
Can you imagine someone quitting smoking in the middle of a grueling time like this? I think Obama is starting to believe he is a demigod like his supporters believe he is.
He can't take the heat. I would bet on that.
Obama is looking harder. I would say it looks like the bark is coming off (but you can't say that it's racist) or that the veneer is coming off (but you can't say that it's racist) or that he's starting to tarnish (but you can't say that it's racist) or that the teflon is getting scratched (but you can't say that it's racist) or that oh heck you know what I mean...the bloom is off the Obamarose.

Obama got outed by the Canadian memo he sent his top aide to assure the Canadians NAFTA was okay. If its true the aide held the meeting without Obama knowing it then that is proof enough Obama has NO control of his own aides. Did he fire this Aide? No No No
Obama needs to answer questions about his good friend Rezko and the British Iraq billionaire Mr. Auchi who gave him millions of dollars that bought his mansion in Chicago. Obama says he never met Mr. Auchi another denial that is proven false he did meet him in a hotel in Chicago.
Obama needs to answer questions about his church being investigated by the IRS due to Barrack using the pulpit to campaign in June of 2007. Obama says it was NOT a political speech well I read it and it sure looked political to me when you say the same thing you have said in all your debates.
Obama needs to answer questions on the Larry Sinclair story of doing cocaine and a sex act in 1999.
Obama needs to answer questions about his church leader praising Louis Farakhan and Farakhan endosing him. Obama says Wright is his moral compass..Wright points to Farakhan.
