Question: Why haven't the media or our politicians--who usually have heightened sensibilities about such things--commented on Pastor John Hagee's endorsement of John McCain with the same relish they did when Louis Farrakahn endorsed Barack Obama? The latter endorsement, of course, was not sought or requested, and was wholly and totally renounced, rejected and denounced by Obama.
John McCain, on the other hand, has been seeking the endorsement of John Hagee for over a year. Watch below why 66 million US Catholics (I'm one of them), upwards of 6 million gays, or the survivors of the $81.2 billion dollars worth of damage and 1,836 deaths from Katrina should be horrified that a United States Presidential candidate would seek and accept such a nod.
A hat tip to Speaker Nancy Pelosi for finally speaking out.
McCain's feeble attempts at distancing himself from Hagee here.
