This video highlights the racial divide in America.Angry blacks are still blaming white Americans for the atrocities of the past, and there were some atrocities.BUT this generation of whites has tried to move beyond race, but are stifled by blacks such as Jeremiah Wright spouting a religion of black separation and and hatred against our country and our citizens.Blacks should also be offended by these hate-filled remarks because he lumps all of them in this racial hatred and anti-americanism.To me the lack of post-racial progress came at the O.J.trial when he was found not guilty.Now unless you were a martian or on some serious drugs ,YOU knew he was guilty,regardless of your race.I had black friends who KNEW he was guilty and we shared that observation freely.BUT when the verdict came down AMERICA stood in their nakedness and cheered or jeered based SOLELY on race.We have a LONG way to go in the struggle for racial reconciliation,BUT the words of a radical bigoted "preacher" will not propel us on our journey.Obama is a great orator and highly intelligent BUT he doesnt get it.Words matter as he so eloquently states and the words of his mentor and friend also matter.He and Michelle have been saturated with this vile rhetoric for 20 years and the fruits of that indoctrination is now bearing a harvest in the actions and words of Michele and Barak.Words and actions do matter.My humble opinion.

Hey Diane-didn't you pick up on the editing in this video? Why doesn't anyone point out the obvious close association Hillary has with persons that lack character -like uh, her husband! Why is Obama faulted for going to a church with a pastor that says some things that make people uncomfortable, but Hillary gets in bed every night with a man that lied to the world and was immoral and unethical? Can we say double standard?

I am so frustrated with the direction the videos from Obama's pastor have taken us. I grew up in a white baptist church and the message was similar in regards to "God damning America". If you talk to most hardcore fundamentalists, they will say the same thing-our country deserves what has happened to us with 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans because of our sin. I disagree strongly, I don't think God has singled out our country for our alleged sin. Our country needs a new vision and change that Obama can bring. Please stop buying into the hype and please stop being afraid of having a black president. We need this now to clean up the mess the current president has brought to our country.
And another thing, how many people say they belong to a certain church but actually show up a couple times a year? I doubt that every Sunday Obama and his family were running to church.

Obama is a man who says WORDS COUNT, JUDGEMENT MATTERS, yet Obama allows himself and his family to sit in a church and has a 20 years relationship with a Reverend who rants racism, hatred, lies and anti-American rhetoric. Not to mention, the terrible comments of Bill, Hillary and the referencre to
Monica. He physically makes gestures how how Bill screwed the blacks in a church with children present.

I would expect Obama practice what he preaches and start with his own community.

I have been in several Churches and Temples in my life and have never heard anybody preach such hatred and slam the USA. Obviously, his wife views come from Rev Wright.

I think it's a powerful video. I could've added some things to it, but I do think it does a good job of meshing what people are talking about. Notice how a great deal of posters on these forums list much of what you see in this video, almost in an effort to convince themselves and others of what it all adds up to.

Some people want to endlessly deflect and deny this issue. I get frustrated with these people, but look, these might be the same people who are gullible in life, or self-sacrificially loyal to someone who is toxic. I think other people want to defend Obama and his associations because they want to stand up for something. The problem is, Obama is not worthy of being President of this country, and we do not trust his intentions, nor do we respect his judgment. It is one thing for Obama to be a member of this church, and live his whole separatist life as a biracial man in this country, fine, hey, it's America, you can curse out this country all day long and blame everything on the white man--what's new--but that would make YOU unworthy to be President of The United States of America! -The video: I'm glad that interview wth Michelle and Obama came up, when Michelle says: "He's a black man, he can get killed going to the gas station." I saw that interview many months ago, and it *really* struck me. My first thought was, WHO would kill him because he's a "black man"? I think she thought the white man, but everybody knows that black on black crime, and black on white crime is where the statisically proven danger lies. And it made me think...she's maaad out of touch! That's what happens when people lead separatist lives.

-I feel like Obama's church, his associates, and his household is obsessed with villifying America and white people, and even I know from my own experience that a lot of black people converse about white people as a regular topic, way more than white people talk about black people. It must get old, I mean, really. But now we are all talking about racial issues. Here is just the raw truth: some contemporary black people need to stop blaming white people for their issues. We can debate history and the trickle down effect, and so on. It will not help. It won't. We can't live in the past, otherwise we can't move forward, and we can't blame anybody else, because then we become powerless and can't take responsibility for own lives and improve accordingly.

*Go ahead and separate yourself from whites, hold resentments and get angry like this hateful Pastor Wright, go ahead and shun the American flag, FINE, you can do all that as an American, BUT...YOU should not be President of the U.S.A. HELL NO!

The video clip I just heard was an absolutely stupid vile attempt to lynch Obama. Any American that cannot see this is blind!! Those clips are racist beyond belief and trying to incite people. Obama is creating this racist divide, the media, most particularly, FOX NEWS, with their every 15 minutes about him for a week or so now. Are you people too dumb/blind to see what the media is doing and a few people who don't want him to be nominated. Although he has every right to be. Think outside the box people!!!!! Think for youself, don't let other people into your brain in order to brainwash you. This is what the media is doing by constantly repeating this every few minutes. That's how brainwashing is done. They will never brainwash me, I can see through it and I am strong enough to stand up. Clinton has brought the race issue to the forefront; not Obama. He has tried to answer this horrid accusation as gentlemanly as he can, without pointing a finger. What a guy! If it were me I'd tell everyone to "go to hell". No one can be held responsible for other people say even if you know them. I have known people for years with whom I disagree with their opinions, and they are still my friends. I venture to say he never when every day of the week or even every Sunday due to his schedule. It is quite possible he wasn't in church when some of these remarks were made. I am a white female and I support him wholeheartedly and completely. We need a person of his character to help raise the opinion of the U.S. abroad. This is needed badly and he can do this; neither of the other two can. They are same old, same old politics in Washington/Whitehouse. To think of a Clinton back in the Whitehouse is totally unconscionable!!!! If you can't vote for Obama, vote for McCain. I was watching a young black woman who supports Hillary on a news channel and she was talking about how the black supporters of Obama have been threatning these blacks , some with their lives, for supporting her. How ignorant some people can be to believe it's only the white folk who behave this way. As for racist Obama and his racist wife he should listen vey carefully to his own words as if the world is going to come together because of him What an ego he has!!

If you think about it, the votes in Florida really should count. Obama DID campaign there. Plenty of national news was reaching the voters. BOTH names were on the ballot. THE VOTES SHOULD BE COUNTED! In terms of Michigan, Obama's name wasn't on the ballot---BECAUSE HE REMOVED IT. That just makes me wonder why he wasn't as smart as Clinton and have his name there! The DNC can bluster all they want about their rules, but the bottom line is that two very important states are not being heard in an election that is too close to count out any votes! This is the first time I actually did more than vote in a campaign and I am totally disgusted with the Democratic Party! Maybe I’ve just never paid attention before, but I cannot comprehend how party leaders (Dean, Pelosi, etc.) can claim to be FOR THE PEOPLE and then not allow their votes to count. This is NOT about Clinton or Obama---it should be about the people of Florida and Michigan! I am so tired of hearing about how "they" knew their votes wouldn't count! How would any of the rest of us feel if our votes weren't counted because of the decisions politicians made in our States? COUNT FLORIDA’S VOTES---RE-VOTE IN MICHIGAN!!! CCRider: I think you are speaking of Congresswoman Diane E. Watson in California. She is a black woman who supports Hillary, and her life has been threatened as well as her career as far as re-election. She is not the only black supporter or superdelgate who has received threats, and I wonder if that's not why maybe, just maybe, some of the black superdelgates flipped on Hillary for Obama since this race.
