    Jimmy Carter Nearly Endorses Obama

Jimmy CarterWell, maybe this is as close as we're going to get from Jimmy Carter:

"We are very interested in the primaries. Don't forget that Obama won in my state of Georgia. My town which is home to 625 people is for Obama, my children and their spouses are pro-Obama. My grandchildren are also pro-Obama. As a Super Delegate, I would not disclose who I am rooting for but I leave you to make that guess."

Speaking of Super Delegates, via TPM and Bloomberg News, we've learned that due to the recent wave of more overt endorsements, Barack Obama is inching closer to overtaking Hillary Clinton in that category:

Barack Obama has pulled even with Hillary Clinton in endorsements from top elected officials, with a surge in support from congressional freshmen and governors from Republican-dominated states.

What's it all mean? Discuss till your fingers are too stiff to type.
