So now we've got another hateful bigot who spews divisive venom like this from the pulpit:

He is also a key member of Chicago's 'Gatekeepers' network, an interracial group of evangelical ministers who strive to erase the division between church and state" and is "a stalwart anti-gay activist...

Each year Salem Baptist Church where Meeks, an independent state senator, was the pastor, holds a haunted house. This event is called "Nights of Terror”. On that Halloween night, Rev Meeks consigned to the flames of hell the following. A pedophile, two young men, who minced around in a parody
of homosexuals and a meditating Buddhist.

One more connection between Obama and Rev Meeks. The Chicago Sun Times has also reported that both Meeks and Obama share a history of substantial campaign contributions from indicted real estate magnate Tony Rezko.

Father Michael Pfleger of St. Sabina, is the last of Obama’s three spritual mentors.

Father Michael Pfleger's endorsement appears on Obama's faith endorsements page, where Jeremiah Wright's used to be... before he became too much of an embarrassment. (see link at bottom)

Father Michael Pfleger however has gained notoriety for more than his embrace of Farrakhan, he also became infamous when at a rally with Jesse "Hymietown" Jackson, he threatened to "snuff" politicians who supported gun rights. He exhorted the crowd to "drag" shop owner, John Riggio, from his shop "like a rat" and "snuff" him.

With that kind of violent mindset and hateful rhetoric, it's no surprise that Father Michael Pfleger is so close to Louis Farrakhan.

He has also used violent rhetoric when threatening critics of Obama. Father Pfleger is out with a warning: "Do not touch this man," he says, "for if you do, you will answer to us all.

Father Michael Pfleger invited Kareem Irfan, former chairman of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago to speak on the anniversary of 9/11. Kareem Irfan is infamous for excusing beheadings by terrorists and is an ISNA member, a Saudi subsidized Wahhabi group with close ties to terrorism.

Senator Obama's close relationship with Rev. Pfleger makes me less confident that a President Obama would be a strong defender of the entire Bill of Rights and of civic tolerance.

What appeal?
I guess I could be wrong.

He could have an appeal to people that like to listen to someone talk. And talk. And talk.

He could also appeal to people that like to imperil their country, and want a great racial divide to develop.

He could appeal to people that like to gamble on the safety and security of our country.

Yes, in some ways he is appealing.

I, myself, would rather have a workhorse that will do a job everyday. And not a race horse who only runs once a year and usually loses.

Only question is, what kind of church, or God wants us to talk to each other the way you just did? People are making comments about how Obama lies not that he is a bad candidate because he is African American. If you go to church, then you know that you hold the same beliefs and position as said church/congregation.
My only conclusion can be that if Obama said he doesn't hold the same beliefs as his longtime minister and mentor/friend he is lying.You can't be involved in a ministry/church and not know/or agree with what is being preached. You wouldn't stay would you? If it went against your core values and beliefs? If he IS lying then the next conclusion would be that he is antiwhite, antijew, possibly antiAmerican if thae belief was that we deserved 911. Is Anti anything else coming to mind for anyone? My opinion is not based on race (in fact Jesus Christ was more than likely of Middle Eastern decent and that is who I worship; but he chose to LOVE everyone,he died so the white, african, Jew, Muslim, Indian, Red, Green Purpleian:) would know everlasting life)That is what we are supposed to live by and if there is a candidate causing this much strife among men and women what do you think will happen when he is elected? Other than peace in the Middle East of course. Yes I am a white, middle class (if you want to call it that I can't afford a gallon of gas but that's beside the point), Baptist, woman. But if you want to talk about discrimination we can talk about my ancestors that were Jews and executed with the other 6 Million. It doesnt matter what a person's skin color, nationality whatever, is, if they will be the leader that GOD has CREATED them to be not what society, media, political parties, angry voters, or other forces at work have MADE them to be. But then again even the Antichrist will have been created for the purpose designed by God.
Regardless, is however unfortunate to see that the race card is still continuously being played on both sides instead of focusing on the real issue of the integrity and compassion for all races dispalyed by a U.S. presidential candidate. The only thing I will say about the campaign itself is, it gives new understanding to "Even the elite will be deceived".

Now you might think that is somewhat like the lemmings following the leader into the sea, but I think it is worse than that.

Anyone who runs for office gets pushed and "slanted" against. It is not just Afrocan-Americans. But Afro-Americans will usually yell "racism" despite it absence in the situation. Therefor, it is hard to just state facts about them because if they don't like hearing the facts they will resort to the racism card.
So use some of your many degrees and look at the facts.Everything is not racism.
I worked with a black doctor who would not tolerate any disgreement(even when she was wrong!).She would proudly say "I will show them just how black I am". She is no longer employeed with the practice because of her intolerant attitude.
