Rush LimbaughPoor Rush Limbaugh. Sometimes he just gets ahead of himself. With all that empty airtime to fill, his mouth gets to flapping, and, well, before you know it, he has potentially committed a crime. Another crime, I should say.

Today's legal infraction? Inciting a Riot. That's a Class A Misdemeanor and it carries a potential sentence of 5 years in prison. Of course, the riot in question hasn't happened just yet. But now that orders have been sent out to the "Dittoheads" I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

From the ABC News affiliate in Denver:

Talk show host Rush Limbaugh is sparking controversy again after he made comments calling for riots in Denver during the Democratic National Convention this summer.

He said the riots would ensure a Democrat is not elected as president, and his listeners have a responsibility to make sure it happens.

"Riots in Denver, the Democrat Convention would see to it that we don't elect Democrats."

The grammatically-challenged Limbaugh seemed to have been alerted to the fact that what he was suggesting was, in fact, a crime, and then attempted to dial it back a bit:

Several callers called in to the radio show to denounce Limbaugh's comments, when he later stated, "I am not inspiring or inciting riots, I am dreaming of riots in Denver."

Hey, whatever it takes. Bash a few skulls, just keep those Dems from re-taking the White House. Even by his own muddled standards, however, this plea to his Republican listeners suffers from an unusually glaring lack of logic. While sending forth his hyper-conservative minions to wreak havoc in the Mile-High City, he assured listeners that:

"There won't be riots at our convention. We don't riot. We don't burn our cars. We don't burn down our houses. We don't kill our children. We don't do half the things the American left does."

So does that mean what happens in Denver, stays in Denver? And speaking as a member of the American Left, I see that I've got a lot of items yet to check off on my list. Note to self: later this afternoon torch the car and the house, and off the kids for good measure.

Mr. Limbaugh, thanks, as ever, for the entertainment. May it bring you a fresh load of legal trouble!
