John Edwards Endorses Barack Obama

I told everyone early on that Edwards would endorse him after the NC primary was over. no one believed me..

THAT WOULD BE A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT! HE WOULD BE A TRADER:/ SHE'S FIGHTER AND I'M PROUD OF HER!
AS A BLACK WOMAN AND LONG TIME DEMOCRAT, I'M NOT VOTING FOR OBAMA
BECAUSE I JUST DON'T HAVE CONFIDENCE IN HIM. I DON'T FEEL HE HAS THE
EXPERIENCE AND HE HAS'NT PAID HIS DUES. HE MADE A SPEECH IN 2004 NOW
EVERYONE THINKS HE'S THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST. IT'S ALMOST CULT
LIKE. I'M DEF NOT GOING TO VOTE FOR McCAIN, SO I PROBABLY WON'T VOTE
THIS YEAR. HILLARY PAID HER DUES. SHE KNOWS HER WAY AROUND
WASHINGTON. THIS SHOULD BE HER TIME AND TO BE HONEST I FEEL THE
DEMOCRATS ESPECIALLY THE BLACKS HAVE TURNED THEIR BACKS ON THE
CLINTONS. THOSE WERE GOOD YEARS FOR US. IF OBAMA DOES'NT CHOOSE
HILLARY FOR A RUNNING MATE THEN HE'S GOING TO LOSE ALOT OF VOTERS.

BELIEVE IN HER SO SHOULD WE JUST TOSS THAT AWAY AND VOTE FOR SOMEONE

I think it would be a shame if Hillary isn't the dem nom, because I know Obama won't win the general election, hell, I don't even think it's safe for him in the general election.

Something is wrong with the dem party and the media. It's been pretty screwy all this time.

In the meantime, endorsements are nice, but we've seen them change with the wind. Superdelegates only count or matter when they vote in August.

I think they believe that Obama would inherit all of Hillary's democrats? That would not be accurate. Even if Hillary pleaded for dems to back him, I think there are too many who wouldn't.

It sort of sucks knowing that McCain really might be president, but I'll keep pushing for Hillary in the mean time.

If this is true it just means another loser joins the ranks of losers who couldn't make it themselves. I'm wondering why we haven't heard this from the anti-Hillary hate mongers of MSNBC? I don't believe Chris Matthews would pass up the chance to get that warm fuzzy feeling running down his legs!!

Debbie, if you're going to just quote things you've read elsewhere, try using the copy and paste functions so your erroneous opinions at least have proper grammar and spelling.

Haha, I think it's already been made pretty evident that nobody really cares what John Edwards thinks.

There are those who suggest that, when this campaign is over, the party will unify. I believe that waiting is not an option. Senator Clinton needs to clear the air and drain this poison from our party before any greater danger is done. A speech on race would be a sign of real leadership, and genuine healing, and bring us closer to the victory we so desperately need in November.

Crystal you are exactly right about Chris Matthews and add Keith Obermann to your list. I am boycotting both of their programs. They have been so unobjective during the primary races. Blantly unfair to Senator Clinton.

Obama woos Michigan. First he wants them disenfranchised and then he has the balls to go ask for their vote. Does he think he is in SC?

So Edwards is finally going to "bow to the pressure" & make an endorsement. I thought better of him than that. It will not change my opinion one iota. I still will not vote for Obama----no way no how. He cannot & will not win the general election. Edwards in the V.P. slot? That would convince me more than ever to not vote Obama. I'VE ALWAYS THOUGHT HILLARY CLINTON TO BE THE BEST PERSON FOR THE PRESIDENCY & ALWAYS WILL....NOT BECAUSE OF HER GENDER, BUT BECAUSE OF WHO SHE IS & WHAT SHE'LL BE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH TO MAKE THINGS BETTER FOR ALL PEOPLE. GO GO GO HILLARY!

Who cares now? If it is Edwards, he has obviously been playing politics rather than naming the candidate he believes is best. He should have endorsed one of the candidates before his home state North Carolina's primary instead of waiting to see which candidate would benefit his own political aspirations.

Who cares it WILL NOT change my vote. It's Hillary or McCain.

All this so call Super Delegates that are voting for Obama, they are only doing it because they thing that if he wins they are going to be able to control him. They can't control Hillary because she is not new to their games.

Last Word, but "speeches" don't really work on Hillary supporters...remember?

A talk on race? Who to? Would it be to the 92+% blacks that voted for Obama? Maybe she can explain why so many people that think blacks did so was because Obama was black are in error. If so, she will be taliking for a long , long time.

They say male white blue collar workers won't vote for Obama, because he's an African American. When it comes down to a choice between a woman and good ole boy Mccain, I think Hillary won't stand a chance with them
