We need an Open Dialogue with anyone willing, so we can go on with our lives knowing that we are actually doing something that will benefit the next generations to come. A war blazed earth gets no one nation ahead, alone! Our president is responsible for negotiating terms and safe keeping the country, the only way to do that is to talk talk talk! comunicate=community=connected, so YES!!!!!!!!!!11

I think taking a firm but diplomatic approach with those nations will eventually settle some of the differences without the need for combat.

The USA should take of Americans and let other nations take care of themselves. If a nation threatens the USA our intelligence will clearly be able to identify the problem areas.

That is the time for diplomatic talks is before taking a negative action. We are powerful and I believe we are advanced enough to take care of ourselves if there is no other way but a negative alternative.

The knee jerk response by the Democrats to President Bush's comments means it obviously hit a nerve and even they recognize his previous foreign policy statement blunder in the debates points out his inexperience. A President never sits down with dictators and strong men who support terrorists, bully their people, threaten our allies and continuously and publicly want our destruction.

Contrary to what the Democrats say, there are levels of negotiations going on - below the President. Maybe Barack can be sitting there all smiles with the Iranian stooge when one of troops gets killed by the IED or Iranian made rocket, set off by the militias that his country has trained. But hey, the tea was really delicious...

We saw what an effective tour Secretary of State Pelosi had as she put up great PR for the Syrians.

Why would you blindly meet with people like that? All you would do is make them more powerful the minute you're seen in a press conference with them. You would automatically give credibility to a regime that may not have even been selected democratically, in fact, probably wasn't. You would give them a reward that they certainly haven't earned. And all they would do is lie to us, and then go meet with their radicle's again, and go right back to their evil ways. If they earn a meeting, give them a meeting, don't give them candy, before they have done the desired behavior.

Talk is a hell of a lot cheaper than an all out war with costly bombs on the people. Governments start wars, but the innocent suffer. Sanctions are starving ordinary people.

Ask Israel if this will work. They've been burned by our good intentions to many times to count. Terrorist see someone that wants to negotiate as an opportunity to forward their agenda. That's all. It's been proven time and time again. Look what happened when the Clinton administration tried to negotiate peace. The Palestinians were basically given everything they ask for and still wouldn't agree to peace.

Jimmy Carter met with Terrorist leaders and then Hamas endorsed Obama. Hamas has called Jimmy Carter a Useful Idiot. These Terrorist's and the nations that support them have No Respect for Americans and truly Want Us All Dead. Obama wants to meet with them. We need to send Obama to them and Not Allow Him To Return.

Never rule out speaking with anyone. Never eliminate an option. Never let a constituency control you, if you're a leader with a plug nickel.

We have diplomatic levels for this type of dialogue. A president who meets a hostile leader might run into problems. Nixon in China -- Kissinger opened up that gate, and yes we should be open to dialogue, but I do believe there are many steps to be taken before the head of any state sits down with an enemy leader. Diplomacy yes, but be sensible about it.

They should have low lwvwl talks.....it is not necessary to havehigh levels talks as long as these leaders are beligerent

Unless you are a traitorous republican, like Reagan. On the other side, we have hard headed meglomaniacs Bush, who think that anything can be fixed with a hammer. Bush won't talk to the opposition because he knows tthat he would end up looking like a fool...again.

I don't know if it is the right thing to do or not, but if the worst president in history is against it, I'm for it.
