Sounds too me like Hillary's insiders betrayed her early on. One wonders if people in her own camp were planted to damage her campaign. I don't doubt it. My instinct just can't stomach Obama....pure evil too me.

Nicole, I really don't think someone in Hillary's camp would do anything like that. That's a little off the wall, and it takes a lot of energy to do something that stupid. What I think happened was that Hillary thought that she could wrap up this campaign and be considered the winner too early on and when Mr. Obama started winning, she was in a state of shock and just never recovered from it. Being in the White House is not a given, even though your husband served there, I think she jumped the gun too quickly.

Hillary is a woman, and so am I, thats not really an issue. I don't believe Obama is an experienced individual capable of running the united states government. Look at what Bush has done, he also is not a capable person. Its time we wake up and realize this is a complicated task, running the US. Im not sure about Hillary and McCain, which is more capable, i continue to research and study that issue, but I am sure Obama is not.

This article seems a little suspicious, and I think Axelrod is trying to kick up some internal problems with the Hillary camp. Seems pretty obvious.

Everything is way too premature, and the majority of the MSM and Obama followers have been calling this primary season over since Iowa, and yet, here we are, and the race is still very close.

Hillary is still the best candidate to go up against McCain.

Hillary wins the blue and purple states needed to win in the general election. Obama has won many red republican states by caucus, and strangely, these small red states also have more delegates compared to big blue ones. So, sometimes the "math" even needs to be looked at closely.

Math is NICE, but when one analyzes who can beat McCain, and who is forecasted for the general, we need to look to Hillary. Her base is very strong, and she is not as liberal as Obama--the country would not put in such a liberal president as Obama. Also, Obama has outspent Hillary sometimes 4 to 1, and she still wins. The media has been on Obama's side, and yet she still wins. The superdelagates have gone against their own states that Hillary won, and yet she still wins.

BTW, superdelegates can say whatever they want, but none of them have VOTED yet, and so their numbers cannot be calculated to claim victory, like Obama says he will do tomorrow night--that's just so arrogant and naive!

Also, Bill Clinton vs. Michelle Obama as first spouse? GIMME A BREAK! The entire world knows who Bill is, and he is well-liked. Bill was the most well-traveled president in history and he is great at diplomacy. Michelle is only good on crapping on America and going to white hating America hating liberation theology cult churches.

I'll never be forced to vote for Obama, and there are SO MANY Hillary supporters who will NOT vote for Obama, and Obama keeps saying that we will come to him, but many of us are American first, not political party first, and he is going to get a serious wake up call if he thinks he would inherit all of Hillary's dem voters. Not gonna happen.

Once again, projecting into the future and the enjoyment it brings to the Obama camp while playing one against the other. This is Politics for you. Patti Solis is better off not affiliating herself with any campaign that is going to use her as another trader in order to prove a point. The only point I take is the devisive measures male strategists on the Obama camp use against women while attempting to use another woman to do it for them. First of all I don't believe Solis is that desperate that she'll reveal her own secrets with the Hillary campaign just for the money. This type of talk is such a waste of time because the Obama camp will not need anyone to work for them come election time because Obama will not be and still is not the nominee. Obama failed the test of even being considered Presidential material because like any Officer of the Law who is held in high standards, they are not allowed to serve if they are related to, have friendships or affiliations with Terrorists, radicals, anti-Americans, hate mongers, dealings with indicted corrupt real estate buddy (Rezko) while he was still being investigated and if you are a member of a church for 20 years that teaches and practices Liberation theology then you have no business applying for a job at the White House. Mr. Axelrod if you want to discuss who will be leaving the Hillary camp and then defecting to the Obama camp think again because your camp is on very shaky ground.

So sad to still see so much racism in this country. This man is simply trying to change America for the better and change Washington and special interests. Hillary is old Washington, and that family is bad news. A disgrace to the country. I am 50 and voting democrat for the first time, but never for Hillary but for Mr. Obama and I hope Mr. Edwards.

Hillary is absolutely correct that, had the Democratic party followed the same primary election rules as the Republicans, she would already be the nominee. The general election in November will be
"winner take all" for the electoral college votes of each state.

The Democratic primary process of proportional representation in the allocation of delegates, and holding caucuses in some states with relatively small groups of voters, is totally disfunctional. The
results do NOT reflect anything similar to how the general election is conducted.

In 2000, Al Gore won West Virginia by only 300 votes, and received ALL of that state's electoral votes. And, of course, we all know what happened in Florida --- ALL the state's electoral votes went to Bush!!! In this Democratic primary, a "win" really isn't rewarded
once the state's delegates are proportionally allocated to the respective candidates (i.e., look at what happened in Texas).

Now Obama is, of course, a very schrewd and talented politician. He targeted the caucus states, mastered the caucus process, and succeeded in a string of 11 straight Democratic primary victories. This gave Obama "momentum" and the appearance of inevitability (even though many of the victories represented few electoral college votes and/or are considered solidly "red" states). However, the caucus process is very flawed, and bears no resemblance whatsoever to what will be necessary to win in the November general election.

It seems like Clinton's decisive win in West Virginia doesn't count. Obama didn't even bother to campaign there, so it is not a significant "win" for Hillary. In Pennsylvania, both candidates had six weeks to campaign after the prior primary. Obama ran 10,000
television ads, energized the large college population in PA as enthusiastic campaign workers, outspent Clinton nearly 3-to-1, threw virtually everything he had into that state's primary, and still
Obama could only narrow Clinton's winning lead to 10%. Obama could not "close the deal" in this crucial swing state.

If the Democrats choose a nominee who cannot carry the crucial "swing" states of Michigan, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, the electoral college math becomes really fuzzy. No matter what the super-delegates are saying now (some are already publicly switching sides back and forth), they will arrive at the Democratic National Convention with no obligation to vote for any particular candidate. They were created to determine the crucial factor of
"electability." They were created to prevent another debacle like George McGovern (who received only one electoral college vote in the general election).

Hillary's eye has always been on the electoral college math. And right now, that math adds-up in favor of Hillary. Her continuing pressure on the DNC to seat the Florida and Michigan delegations (while self-serving) is also clearly focused on their importance as swing states in the electoral college math. Unfortunately, the math for selecting Democratic party delegates has too little to do with
the electoral college "winner take all" equation.

Unless the super-delegates recognize the disconnect between the process by which Democratic primary delegates have been selected and the way the next president will be selected, I'm afraid the Dems will
blow their best chance at sweeping the White House and both houses of Congress since Lyndon Johnson.
