Anonymous Donor Offers Turn-key Convention to Nevada State GOP
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 20, 2008
RENO, NV—The Ron Paul campaign has learned that apparently an anonymous Republican donor in Washoe County sent a letter to the State Republican GOP Chairwoman Sue Lowden, informing Ms. Lowden that they have booked a room and arranged a turn-key convention at the Grand Sierra Resort in an attempt to help the Nevada Republican Party reconvene the recessed Nevada State GOP convention.
"The Ron Paul campaign is not responsible in any way for this donation," said Jeff Greenspan, Southwest Regional Coordinator for the Ron Paul campaign. The Ron Paul campaign has learned that the letter offering the use of this facility to Ms. Lowden was sent on Thursday, May 15th. "We only learned late Thursday afternoon that apparently this letter was sent. However, from the campaign's perspective, this seems to be a great opportunity to resolve the situation that occurred on April 26th in a satisfactory manner for everyone."
The anonymous donor has reserved the Grand Ballroom at the Grand Sierra Resort on Saturday, June 7th, for the entire day, and is offering the use of the room to the Nevada State GOP. The room has been equipped to accommodate the needs and requirements of the nearly 1,400 delegates to the State Convention. The use of this facility will be at no cost to the Party, as a result of this in-kind donation.
The Nevada State Republican Convention was recessed on April 26th. Ballot counting for national delegates from Congressional Districts 1 and 3 had been completed, but vote counting for Congressional District 2 was still in progress when the convention was recessed. At-large delegates still needed to be selected, and resolutions have not yet been passed.

NATIONAL WARNING

This is not a joke. Our country is in BIG TROUBLE. We are gradually heading towards a fascist government. This means that we could eventually wind up like China or the USSR. Don't delude yourself into believing that's not true. It is. The only candidate who is acknowledging this is Ron Paul. Do what you can to help him win. You will benefit as his agenda involves correcting this problem.
If you still don't like Ron Paul, please do some thorough research on him and all the other candidates. If you do that with an open mind, you will see the truth behind what I have said.

One World Government on its way - Try to stop it!

Watch this clip from "Zeitgeist" to see the trouble we are in:
Okay..Here it is!! If that guy whose name is obama wins the nomination, then I, being a democrat all my life, will switch to McCain!!That is how much i detest that lying faker obama! And the democratic party for keeping a man as the nominee for president, kiss my butt!! And I am still a Big Hillary Supporter for all times!!!!!
"After 30 years in government, serving under five Presidents of both parties and chairing two non-partisan commissions on the Public Service, I have been reluctant to engage in political campaigns. The time has come to overcome that reluctance," Volcker, a Democrat, said in a statement today. "However, it is not the current turmoil in markets or the economic uncertainties that have impelled my decision. Rather, it is the breadth and depth of challenges that face our nation at home and abroad. Those challenges demand a new leadership and a fresh approach." http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/01/31/former-fed-chairman-paul-_n_84313.html
Three former U.S. SEC chairmen endorse Obama
All three commended Obama for his approach to regulation.
"Each of us has been committed to prudent economic policy and effective financial regulation for many years," they said in a joint statement along with former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker, also an Obama supporter.
Plan to Strengthen the Economy “I believe that America's free market has been the engine of America's great progress. It's created a prosperity that is the envy of the world. It's led to a standard of living unmatched in history. And it has provided great rewards to the innovators and risk-takers who have made America a beacon for science, and technology, and discovery…We are all in this together. From CEOs to shareholders, from financiers to factory workers, we all have a stake in each other's success because the more Americans prosper, the more America prospers.”
Turning away the loyalty of Obama supporters may very well drive the Democratic Party into a ditch. They may not vote for McCain and may very well prevent McCain from winning, but walk away from the party thereafter. One giant flow of new independents or go back to where we were ...apathetic. Anyone that says they would vote McCain is not really a loyal Democrat in their heart. We support the candidate...loyalty counts for something. We are civil and loyal. Who do you want behind you?

not filling the strategic reserve is saving us nothing? … in fact 70,000 barrels daily at the current price of $127/barrel for a cost saving of $8,890,000/day...
Building a 21st Century Military The Problem: The excellence of our military is unmatched. But as a result of a misguided war in Iraq, our forces are under pressure as never before. Obama will make the investments we need so that the finest military in the world is best-prepared to meet 21st-century threats.
Rebuild Trust: Obama will rebuild trust with those who serve by ensuring that soldiers and Marines have sufficient training time before they are sent into battle.
Expand the Military: We have learned from Iraq that our military needs more men and women in uniform to reduce the strain on our active force. Obama will increase the size of ground forces, adding 65,000 soldiers to the Army and 27,000 Marines.
New Capabilities: Obama will give our troops new equipment, armor, training, and skills like language training. He will also strengthen our civilian capacity, so that our civilian agencies have the critical skills and equipment they need to integrate their efforts with our military.
Strengthen Guard and Reserve: Obama will restore the readiness of the National Guard and Reserves. He will permit them adequate time to train and rest between deployments, and provide the National Guard with the equipment they need for foreign and domestic emergencies. He will also give the Guard a seat at the table by making the Chief of the National Guard a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
