Since this Presidential campaign began, it's like the Bush administration just disappeared, and with it, all of the misdeeds. Every once in awhile, we'll write some new, egregious story about the administration, and it goes virtually unnoticed.
The President authorized the NIE leak, and he pardoned a man who was probably the best witness against him. Will anybody care?
I understand the desire, with the end in sight, to just move on, try to forget the strife, mend the divisions, but justice is not, or should not be, a political football. We all stood by, abetted by a cowed news media and a complicit congress, while the Bush administration lied us into war, weakened our Constitution, drained us of our standard of living. Will we stand by now and just let them roll out of town?
All three major Presidential candidates need to be asked if and how they plan to hold this administration accountable. I have contacted each via email, and await their responses, but you can all feel free to do the same.

Correction: When originally published, this story misidentified the NIE leak as the Valerie Plame leak. I regret any confusion caused by my error. - Tommy Christopher
