I honestly think either one of them is better than McCain. I would have voted for either of the two Democratic nominees but Obama won. If he pickes her, there will have to be some constraint on the power that Bill is given. I voted for the man but I do not want Obama presidency and Hillary's vice presidency to be tarnished with all the scandal that Bill brings to the table. McCain will do nothing for the economy, nothing for gas prices ( i don't know about you but I'm tired of paying $4.59 1/10 per gallon). McCain will continue with Bushes plan because Bush will include him. Bushes father and family have interest in the US defense department, they make money every time we make a bullet, or a gun or a tank, ect..... i wish Hillary the best. i definately think she should be involved in Obama cabinet or his vp.

Immediately after announcing "no money from lobbyists and corporations, etc" the DNC came begging for contributions from the grass roots folks. Since they have been so fair and honest with me, I thought it was appropriate to respond in kind. So I sent the following:

Howard Dean,

I'd like to take a few minutes to express my concerns and disgust with the democratic party. After happily taking corporate and lobbyists money for decades, you now say you are taking the high road. And you probably will, until McCain and the RNC begin to outspend you. Then, quietly and without fanfare, you will go back to doing business as usual.

We elected a democratic majority in Congress in 2006 to improve our future. Things have actually gotten quite a bit worse since November, 2006. You threaten us with Roe V Wade yet the democratic Senate confirmed Sam Alito, one of the most right wing conservatives ever to grace the Supreme Court Bench. If this is how you protect us, then God help our country.

Barack Obama ran a campaign based on a new kind of politics. But his candidacy was pushed, funded and endorsed by Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Bill Richardson, Chris Dodd and the entire Old Guard at the DNC. You can't get more old world politics than that. You pressured superdelegates and allowed them to be pushed and even threatened if they did not support Obama. In your effort to prove that civil rights work, you selected an Affirmative Action candidate that does not have the experience or knowledge to put and keep this country on the right track.

You suppressed or ignored any negative information that might have hampered Senator Obama's chance at the nomination. You allowed a biased media to treat a current Senator and former first lady, along with her family, with contempt and did not once stand up to defend her. You alienated and disenfranchised the voters in two states and then graciously declared that each delegate would get 1/2 vote. You took delegates fairly earned and pledged to Hillary Clinton and made a gift of them to Barack Obama.

In other words, this is not the party I joined in 1963 and freely and happily supported since that time. So, today, I took the time to go to my county election department and changed my registration. I no longer have to hang my head and apologize for being a democrat. I can say loudly and with pride that I am now an Independent American who will vote my conscience rather than follow a party that does not care what the voters want or America needs.

At the moment from my point of view, the only viable candidate for President of the United States is Senator John McCain. I plan on contacting his local campaign headquarters and offering to serve in whatever capacity they need. There will not be one more penny sent or one more minute spent on a national party that has become so autocratic that the wishes of the few are served before the good of the many is considered.

Senator Clinton: I know you are considering throwing in with Senator Obama as his VP, but at what price? I believe it will be a "marriage made in Hell."

My reasons: The horror I experienced...when I watched the asinine antics of those so-called "preachers" at the Trinity United Church "damn America" and spew out vile hatred for the "white oppressors" that they continually suck off of...through HUGE government grants and Obama earmarks...while he was a church member.

Watching them denigrate a "white" female, U.S. Senator...like some comedy skit on the stage (amateur night) at the Apollo Theater...made me sick to my stomach.

If you throw in with The Devil...many of your ardent supporters will turn away from you (in disgust) and vote for Senator McCain.

This is something you might want to ponder...

Rumors abound about a Michelle Obama video railing against "whitey" that the GOP reportedly is planning to use to derail B.O.'s presidential bid. Hillary warned superdelegates in the past of the possibility of an "october surprise" with B.O. I think Hillary knows it's real and therefore will not join B.O. on the ticket for this reason. It may also explain why she was willing to put so much money into keeping her campaign going and why she now says she will "suspend" her campaign (so she can retain control of her delegates).

Like I said before, Obama is: pond-scum, the most divisive, mendacious, lazy, corrupt, manipulative mainstream democratic candidate in thirty years. All of these issues will come back to haunt him soon. I can’t wait for the GOP to destroy him. And I hope and pray that Hillary pursues an independent candidacy. The Democratic party no longer deserves her.

At no time in the history of the Democratic party has a nominee so close in votes been strongarmed out of a race before the nominating convention. Going to the convention is a right that every candidate has whether they have a million votes or 18 million. We are incensed that party insiders are tampering with the process, with the overt help of a biased media, to shut down the process and nominate a candidate before the convention. Superdelegate endorsements are only valid at the convention. Pledged delegates may even change their minds in the face of persuasive information.

All this Zo person has done for months is attack Clinton in the most base vile way...now that she's lost and going to support Black Jesus, she's ok.

I think Clinton was led into a softly lit room, with soft jazz playing...in the background she hears a deep resonant voice "I've heard people say that...too much of anything is baaaaaaad for ya baaabeee"....

No, actually I think Clinton is eyeing Senate majority leader and the only way for her to get that is if the Democrats remain the majority. She will work for that.

What she would do if shw were smart (I wonder after this campaign now if she really is as smart as I thought she was) is stay as distant from Obama as possible. He may still implode. She needs to keep her delegates until the convention just in case.

If you want one and only one good reason not to vote for Obama I will give you one. Look at the posters of him on the sides of buildings. Paintings of him with "HOPE" written under them. Ask yourself where in your memory have you seen paintings like this before? Was in in the USA, no, think again, USSR?

Hillary needs to wait until 2012 and run again. By then they'll know that Obama is a phoney, and hopefully hasn't screwed up the country to bad since he hasn't got the slightest idea what he's doing. Everyone is so caught up in *having a black president* that they don't seem to care that he isn't the slightest bit qualified.

It's also time you back off with the Clinton nastiness. They both have done a lot for America & continue to do so in whatever capacity they can. The 90s were good times for our country. Since you only focus on the negative I guess you block that out. That's what the media does best....omit the good news unless it involves their preference & slam the opposition. That's part of what is wrong with America & you certainly do your part to contribute to it.
