They Meet

There are no details but it's still big news: Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama met face to face tonight at a super secret undisclosed location in DC (Dick Cheney's bunker maybe?). No doubt they ordered wings and watched the NBA finals and made fun of John McCain's speech the other night.

The tete-a-tete caught reporters off guard. The campaigns aren't saying what was discussed but they did release a joint statement:
"Senator Clinton and Senator Obama met tonight and had a productive discussion about the important work that needs to be done to succeed in November."
So let's speculate. Did he offer her a spot on the Supreme Court? Or did Hillary promise to keep a muzzle on Bill if Obama makes her VP? Maybe she told him about all the cool secret passage ways under the White House. What do you think they talked about?

Our New Approach to Comments

In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around. Please read our Help and Feedback section for more info.
