Promises like policies need to be modified to reflect current realities. We should not have to be stuck in a war that current realities cannot support. A smart politician is one who knows when to take advantage to deliver the greater good to his constituency, not one that gets stuck on unsustainable fundamental views. Period!

It says he plays both ends against the middle. Never know from one day to the next "which" Obama will emerge. He does not have answers which is the reason for his never-ending flip-flopping. How can ANYONE possibly think he is good for America? He lacks all the qualities a president should have.....integrity, consistency, vision & one certainly can't trust him. I don't understand what those who put him on the pedestal are thinking. Gore spoke of a "new vision." Then everyone gosh darn better take off their blinders & look inside the man they are so enamored with. We are electing a Commander-in-Chief not the president of the senior class. There are serious challenges ahead & Barack Obama is NOT the person to handle them. At least McCain has knowledge of what it entails. No deal, Obama. You've already given us a raw deal. You are not worthy of being president & don't have the remotest idea of how to proceed.

This decision is a direct result from 527 groups having no limit whatsoever on the amount they can spend on smear campaigns - and you know how much the R's love running a nasty, smear campaign on a candidate, or his wife.

Since the R's lose on the issues, it's all they got to run on, of course. There may be some kicking and screaming by the McCain campaign, but the 527 groups have made a joke out of the campaign finance system.

Could it be that Obama does not trust John McCain or the Republicans to stick to their deal? They are a crooked bunch. Where does he get his money? Oprah's coffers are bursting at the seams. This election gets more surreal every day. Frankly, since Hillary and Obama finished the campaign is boring, boring, boring. Obama may have his faults, but McCain is a loose cannon.

I used to be a D but since the DNC screwed Hillary out of her nomination I am considering being an R. I've been watching the view and Joy Behar and her dry D attitude has turned me off. I'm leaning more toward the R Elisabeth Hasselback. I'm sure the big O can finance little O's run for President.
