On Friday, June 27, 2008, a momentous occasion will take place. The Political Machine's own reader and
commtener extraordinaire, John in Philadelphia, will be celebrating his WhateverSomething-th birthday. Denise Williams, Diana, and I will all be swinging by to toast John's descent into the pit of old age, and we all would love it if any East Coast PM'ers would join us (Dutch treat, sorry L). It could be like a mini-convention. Or a micro-convention.
John will be playing at the piano bar in Tavern on Carmac from 7-10pm, directions here, then it's on to The Knock, directions here, for more fun. Diana and I will probably show up at 8:30 or 9.
I'm not sure how that whole piano bar thing works, but if I can get John to let me, I might even warble out a tune for you all. We'll all have camera-phones, too, so remember: What happens in Philly, stays on Youtube!
Now, I know things get heated in our comments section sometimes, but hey, we're all human beings. I look forward to coming together, in the spirit of celebration, peace and understanding. Kum-ba-ya!
Oh, and John, Happy Birthday! We'll see you soon.
