McCain 'Truth Squad' Trashes Clark's Service

Clark is a dissapointment & a disgrace !!!

Neither McCain nor Obama are "running for" Commander in Chief. They are running for the presidency, and the McCain campaign "truth squad" would do well to keep that in mind.

Commander in Chief is but one function of that office, and deals only with the military. It has absolutely nothing to do with civilians. Perhaps McCain should stop running as a 'military man', and start running as someone who shows us that he not only knows about, but actually understands all the functions of the presidency he is seeking. That has not yet been forthcoming.

Until such time, and no matter what he or his "truth squad" say, there is no way that this individual can even consider him for the office.

Except for the guy with the funny name and the creepy Swift Boat Vet, the Truth Squad sounds like an unimpeachable assemblage of military might and prestige....Sen. John Warner, Bud McFarland (Reagan National Security Advisor) and Leighton Smith (of Bosnia conflict fame). I believe that the Dems attacking McCain's military service is a losing proposition and Wes Clark seems to have opened the proverbial can of worms, irregardless of whether or not his remarks were based in truth. After all, when's the last time the Democrats have succeeded in challenging the GOP on the issues of national security or foreign policy (except for Iraq)? Not too smart, IMHO. All we really have to do is stick with debating McSame's POLICY issues (or character?) and we should be home free.

While suturing a cut on the hand of a Texas Rancher whose hand had been caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually, the topic got around to Obama and his bid for the presidency.

Although I do agree that it's a bad move on the part of the Dems to even go there, it's been reported that Obama did not "send" Gen. Clark out to speak on his behalf; in fact, some nutjobs have even intimated that the Clintons may have done so. He distanced himself from the remarks quite nicely in his patriotism speech yesterday, so those people who say that Obama just threw Wes Clark under his bus miss the point, as he wasn't HIS (surrogate) to throw anywhere.

In fact, he also dissed MoveOn.org by obliquely criticizing their infamous "General Betray-us" (Petraeus) newspaper ad. WOW, is he actually intentionally moving toward the center (like so many others in the Party, including myself) and distancing himself from the ultra-left wing of the Party now that he's 'moved on' from the primary to the general election (on a number of issues, including NAFTA & FISA)? As Rachel Maddow on MSNBC just questioned, how long will Obama continue to SLAP the ultra-liberals (of the Party, who got him the nomination) before they decide to SLAP him back? I just love that Rach, as she doesn't mince words! She also does a better job as a "sub" on the 6:00 PM show, as well, IMHO.

Wes Clark is a WEASEL and a drunken fornicator who eats human flesh while watching porno all day.

I stand together with Hillary Clinton’s 18 million voters to demand that Senator Obama and the Democratic Party:

* Bring us together by seating 100% of the Florida and Michigan delegations in Denver with 100% of their votes, allocated in accordance with the popular vote of each state.
* Bring us together by adopting policies on the Platform Committee that Hillary Clinton has championed.
* Bring us together through reform of the primary and caucus system to reflect the basic principle of one person/one vote.

If John McCain being shot down while piloting a plane in the service of his country and serving as a U.S. Senator far longer and with a better voting record than Barack Obama does not qualify him to run for president; just where does that put the 2yr Senator from Illinois with poor judgment and a gift for empty rhetoric? Obama is taking a very low road after pledging to have a campaign that doesn't sling mud. I quess this is just another flip-flop by Obama.

His "words" and speeches mean nothing to this Independent anymore.

Look,McCain is a war hero.Gen Clark is a war hero that was carried out of Nam on a strecher with 4 bullet holes in him.
These 2 war heros disagree with each other.I see nothing wrong with that.
To elevate these comments to the level it has gone is insane.How many of you are going to vote for Clark???
How many of you voted for Bush and he showed distain for the military by skipping many of his mandatory camps while in the guard.
The thing is that this time arround there are very serious issues facing this country.
The fact is both men running are on opposite sides on these issues.
Wouldn't it be more intelligent to listen to each man on their stand on the issues .Doning that should give you a clear choice to vote for.
I am so sick of the non issues that the media has already poured down our necks.
In the end its what each man will do on the issues that counts.
It doesn't have anything to do with cookie recipes or jewlery that is worn or what a million supporters on either side says,its what the candidates say they will do.

I do not remember lark doing anything productive. He should be stripped of his rank. McCain's actions are documented, and unlike Kerry who was shot when he unloaded on a cliff wall and refused to get help until it was recorded to get a purple heart, and who spent 3 mos with most of the men who served under him not even liking him, for a fellow military person to question anything on his record shows how stupid Clark is. Truth be known his own men shot him in Nam because they recognized he was an idiot and knew if they followed his order they would be in trouble.

I wonder if Clark noticed that "senator" is closer to the Presidency than "general".

Maybe, just MAYBE the McCain campaign do not think Tommy Christopher is "relevent" enough to return his calls.
