Kennedy Preparing Universal Health Care

Kind of a joke that Kennedy just received the fine health care but wants to make it hard for the rest of us to get quality health care. If a universal health care plan passes, we will be lined up like Canadians, waiting for 3 to 9 months to get an MRI or CAT scan. Take a look at Canada and England and you'll see that they have terrible health care. Universal health care will take our choices away from us. The days of seeing a doc in a day or two will be gone. Be ready to wait up to 6 months or more just to see your family doc. Kennedy, Clinton and Obama want all illegals to receive free health care, which, by the way, they already do. All they have to do is walk in to any ER and they get the best health care the world has to offer. Those of us paying for health insurance pay super high rates to pay for all the illegals and others who refuse to pay. This country is headed down a bad path. Can you imagine Kennedy waiting 6 months to get the brain surgery he just had? Nah, what a hypocrite.

What part of nanny state fascism,other than racism, don't liberals like? Cradle to grave entitlements provided by confiscatory taxation. Let's see what the liberal update of give me liberty or give me death is. Could it be give me liberty or give me entitlements?

I am utterly disgusted with this man as are his own constituents. His pompous behavior and childish antics during the primaries were vulgar. Everyone in Washington knows he hates Sen. Clinton. His ultimate goal is to go down in history as the maker and shaker of universal healthcare, when Clinton proposed her plan in 1993 he rallied all Dems. and cashed in on owed favors from his elitist circle in order to crush her efforts.
THIS MAN WOULD STOP AT NOTHING TO PREVENT SEN. CLINTON FROM THE WHITE HOUSE. Only because he fears her plan would trump his and be pushed in congress.
This from a man who took his ridiculous bid for the Dem. nod all the way to Convention but worked tirelessly to push Clinton out of the race. This from a man who care less about Obama and the party but only for his silly need to make history. This from a man who went against his constituents in Mass. This from a man who took a young girl on a moonlit drive along a river bank only to leave her to drown.

The slime bucket Kennedy will use Hillary's Health Care Program but either moving or deleting ONE word and then call it his own. Every day the DNC get's more and more sleezier.

I don't understand why he hates Clinton so much. What did Clinton ever do to him?

I wonder if the AARP policy director, Mr. Rother, was able to keep a straight face when he made that remark about Ted Kennedy being "a beloved figure".

If the liberals in Congress have their way, they will take the best health care in the world and turn it into a socialist, chaotic nightmare.

To those of you who think you are entitled to something, simply because you live in the U.S.A., I have sad news for you. Our system of government is based solely on a piece of paper called The Constitution. Nowhere in that document are you entitled to affordable health care, affordable housing, food, or anything else a human being acquires to maintain their existence. You have to go out and acquire that yourself. Even the Bill of Rights aren't guaranteed.

Instead of waiting for your ship to come in, it's up to you to find your ship, then go out and tow it in. The Constitution was designed to help you make your way in life by limiting the size and power of a government that might otherwise hold you back. It's called FREEDOM, and it's at the core of conservatism.

Please don't misunderstand. I'm all for helping the handicapped, the disabled, the elderly, and others in dire need. What I'm against is punishing the achievers and rewarding the non-achievers, forcibly taking money from the people who earn it and giving it to the people who don't, but should be. It creates a cradle-to-grave society where people are dependant on the Federal Government for their survival, and the people go to the polls and vote for the candidate who will do more for THEM, rather than for our country. It ultimately puts our national security at risk.

If you think health care is expensive now, wait until it's free. This is just another way of increasing taxation, decreasing quality of health care and building a more powerful central government.

If you want free health care, move to another industrialized country. In a free country, people should not be forced have a mandatory health care plan!

kissy38...I don't know about you, but I work in a hospital and I have to wait several weeks to get approval for any procedure done over %500.00. Not everyone, everywhere has the best insurance coverage. You would atleast appreciate good coverage if you were a hospital employee. We are in desperate need of healthcare reform, and the Americans should be able to lead the way. I am, however with you, I don't believe Obama is the guy to do it, he could care less about what happens to Americans.

Well that's just great! Now the libs are going to try to use the sympathy vote to jam Universal Health Care down our throats. Gag me with a tax bill! Here's our latest victim. Poor wittol Teddy.

Liberals think we should have UHC, no matter what it cost. Whether the government pays it all or not, whether employers "share" the cost or not, whether we are mandated to participate or not, WE THE TAXPAYERS will foot the bill. And an astronomic bill it will be, the likes of which we have never seen.

But understand this: Libs will spend all the governments money on health care TO GET ELECTED if that's what it takes. The problem is that it isn't the governments money; it's your money & my money! So let's translate: Libs will spend all of your money and all of my money on health care to get elected if that's what it takes. And all the while they will tell us that it is IMPORTANT for us to do so.

What is wrong with this picture? Well, let's see. If health care is Sooo important to these rich libs, then I have a plan. Let's take all the rich libs annual incomes (let's use, for example's sake, the average of Obama & the Clintons - about $10 million) and out of that income, we are going to give each rich lib back $48,201, the average household income in the US (2006 US Census). That should be enough. They claim to be just like us. Their shit stinks too.

So that leaves my health plan with $9,951,799 in the pot per rich liberal. That $9,951,799 can pay the premiums on the average family of 4 ($9,086/yr, USA Today.com, Julia Appleby) for 1095 families. In my plan, with 125 million households I only need 114,155 rich liberals to accomplish my goal of insuring every American, including the rich libs that I robbed, I mean used, I mean taxed.

What's that you say? There aren't enough rich libs in the world? We-he-hell, we will just see about that. My plan redefines rich for liberals. We will start with the lib that has the most money, use up all his/her money (except for $48,201 - after all, they GOTTA live!) and move to the next (now new) richest liberal, until I have $681.45 billion (that's per year). I bet I won't even need the whole 114,155 rich libs, after all, cuz them rich libs are R-i-i-i ch! Well ... now they're not, but that's okay, because everyone in America now has health care and that was important to them rich libs.

Or has it's importance suddenly plummeted down the depth chart. I'll bet the Republican party would welcome one big party-line crossover if my idea passed (114,155, to be precise) And you libs were mad about 15,000 Republican crossovers in Ohio? Harumph.

My plan has a simple rationale. If libs think it is right and just to insure every American and rich libs think it is right and just for rich people to pay more taxes, then they should have no problem with Splash's Universal Health Care Plan. Let the libs define rich however they want, but let them pay for universal health care themselves. Then, and only then, will we see how important they think it is to use up all OUR money to pay for everyone's health care. Then, and only then will everyone see that it is just another big promise to get THEM elected.

I really dig your entry. Hopefully, the big names in the conservative world will abandon the GOP and start a new party with a foundation rooted in that fading search that every human heart engages in to find their own individual Freedom.

It's so easy to enslave one's self to the chains that shackle us to a reliance on anything, especially government. So easy. We're so tired. Worn down. Stripped naked of our own personal resources. Sometimes it's easier just to curl up into the fetal position, surrender and be taken care of.

Unfortunately, people who give in to that path of least resistance are seldom, if ever, content, and more often are the ones that bitch and moan the most. And the reason they are so malcontent is more than that they see the government break promises, more than class envy, more than just an expectation of more, More MORE!!

I believe their heart, that yearns to break free of those chains, just won't let them get completely comfortable. With the right leadership through a party focussed on that principle of Freedom, they would break those chains, emerge from that prison and run past their leaders just to see who, which one of them, could regain their freedom first.

But for now, in the current two party system, they just feel so abandoned and alone. It's sad, but it is not hopeless. Not yet anyway.

It is important that every citizen receives health care. I would rather see Universal Health care than my tax keep skyrocketing! Hillary lent her campaign millions of dollars that she could have given to the poor. She did not manage her finance during her campaign what makes anyone think she can manage the World Bank? Hillary did not pay her employee's benefits for 2 months, but they where still covered, now if we had not paid our Insurance and allowed it to go into default for 2 months the insurance would have been CANCELLED! McCain seems to thing that the economy is doing good. What planet did he step off of, Oh, the economy does not hurt him because of his wife Cindy's purse that has allowed him to take care of his cripple ex-wife health care for the rest of her life. What a deal if you give me a divorce I will pay your health-care expense for life!

I'm not going to say you were born yesterday, but, "I would rather see Universal Health care than my taxes keep skyrocketing!" is an oxymoron (emphasis on moron). If you got Hillary with a liberal house and senate, you would get only half your wish.

You WOULD get UHC, but here's the kicker: your taxes would HAVE TO SKYROCKET (like never before) unless you cut insurance companies out of the loop (which ain't gunna happen) and if you did cut out the insurance industry, then you would be looking at massive unemployment that would rival the great depression.

See, this is what I am talking about. You are an H-bot, through and through. You support Hillary no matter what she says or does and no matter how blind she robs you. How else can you explain your ability to open wide and swallow it all when Hillary tells you she will institute a brand new $700 billion dollar a year government program and, at the same time, reduce your taxes.

What is that phrase democrats coined? "How are you going to pay for it?" They were referring to W's tax cuts, but that phrase will come back to bite them in the ass on UHC (Unless they adopt Splash's Universal Health Care Plan; then she gets my vote.
