Barack Obama's campaign responds the RNC ad on energy. It's a directly negative contrast against McCain using what most liberals call "Rovian big lie" politics. It's a tough ad. This is the first negative attack ad from a candidate.
And it's what you expect from a professional Chicago politician, nothing new about Obama.
When Obama says "raise millage standards," he means killing every last working-class United Auto Worker job left in America. But as a NAFTA-supporter, Obama probably doesn't care.
When Obama says "McCain will giver more tax breaks to big oil," the truth is - so will Obama. But unlike McCain, it is Obama who has taken more campaign cash from big oil executives than any other political candidate.
When Obama says he'll fast track technology for alternative fuels, he doesn't disclose that you'll be paying more in tax-dollars (or he'll further bust the budget) to subside it. He also neglects to share that his bio-fuel program is leading to a rapid deforestation of the rain forest and contributing to raising food costs and shortages. Killing our environment and starving poor people is not really a solution.
When Obama tries to link McCain to Bush by voting percentage, he makes it fair game to link him to all of his Party's wacky votes and doings. Since, after all, he voted 97% of the time with them. If one non-sequitur applies to McCain then turnabout must be fair too...right?
This type of negative guttural response from Obama is cheap and highly disappointing. It almost seems desperate.
The ad's script reads:
On gas prices, John McCain's part of the problem.
McCain and Bush support a drilling plan that won't produce a drop of oil for seven years.
McCain will give more tax breaks to big oil.
He's voted with Bush 95% of the time.
Barack Obama will make energy independence an urgent priority.
Raise mileage standards.
Fast track technology for alternative fuels.
A $1000 tax cut to help families as we break the grip of foreign oil.
A real plan and new energy.
OBAMA: I'm Barack Obama and I approve this message.
Sorry you are offended Greg but unfortunately for you, this ad is true. I also look forward to factcheck.org. By the way, all of the auto industry unions back Obama and his platform but you're certainly much smarter than they are. Your comments about Big Oil, deforestation, and big oil are so silly that I'm not going to take the time to comment.

Just curious, but how does increasing mileage standards kill every last working-class United Auto Worker job left in America?

FLIP-FLOP-BARACK has never stated a "position" of his own that he was not willing to FLIP-FLOP on for a few more votes.
Especially now that Clinton has been Swift Boated out of the race by the media with blatantly false accusations by Camp Obama of racism.
You get what you vote for, and Bush and Obama are proof of that.

This is a video someone posted of Gaddafi supporting Obama. He talks a bout campaign contributions.
Gaddafi basically says OBAMA is lying through his teeth. Nothing he says it true. All of it is to get elected. Oops, getting called a liar by a ruthless dictator. That is just a reflection of how bad Obama is.

So, the new style politician launched the first old style negative attack ad for the general election season. Is anyone surprised by this?

AMERICAN-COWBOY!
8:39PM Jul 8th 2008
You don’t have to agree with everything President Bush says or does --- you don’t even have to like him --- BUT MY PRESIDENT IS A “COWBOY”! CAIRO - A U.S. ultimatum telling Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to quit now or face war is a throwback to the Wild West where might made right, Arabs said on Tuesday.
THEY CALL MY PRESIDENT A “COWBOY”! It used to tick me off when the Muslim detractors in the Middle East, or the socialist detractors in Europe, Hollywood and other cesspools of America called my President a cowboy, but the more I think about it, the more glad I am that he is.
When I was a kid, cowboys were my heroes. Well, I mean the ones in the white hats, not the black hats, who were the bad guys.
There was Tom Mix, B u c k Jones, Johnny Mack Brown, Hopalong Cassidy, Red Ryder, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, then later Marshall Matt Dillon, and others. Personally, I think Roy Rogers could beat ‘em all up, and then sing a song afterward to his girl friend. He was my favorite.
What were common attributes of these legendary cowboys? Here are a few:
1. They were never looking for trouble. 2. But when it came, they faced it with courage. 3. They were always on the side of right. 4. They defended good people against bad people. 5. They had high morals. 6. They had good manners. 7. They were honest. 8. They spoke their minds and they spoke the truth, regardless of what people thought or “political correctness,” which no one had ever heard of back then. 9. They were a beacon of integrity in the wild, wild West. 10. They were respected. When they walked into a saloon (where they usually drank only sarsaparilla), the place became quiet, and the bad guys kept their distance. 11. If in a gunfight, they could outdraw anyone. If in a fist fight, they could beat up anyone. 12. They always won. They always got their man. In victory, they rode off into the sunset.
Those were the days when there was such a thing as right and wrong, something blurred in our modern world, and denied by many. Those were the days when women were respected and treated as ladies, because they acted like ladies.
Now as a senior citizen, I still like cowboys. They represent something good — something pure that America has been missing.
Ronald Reagan was a cowboy. I like Ronald Reagan, who was brave, positive, and who gave us hope. He wore a white hat. To the consternation of his liberal critics, he had the courage to call a spade a spade and call the former Soviet Union what it was — the evil empire. Liberals hated Ronald Reagan.
They also hate President Bush because he distinguishes between good and evil He calls a spade a spade, and after 9-11 called evil “evil,” without mincing any words, to the shock of the liberal establishment. That’s what cowboys do, you know. He also told the French to “put their cards on the table” (old West talk), which they did, exposing their cowardice and greed.
The Arabs are wrong. In the old West, might did not make right. Right made right. Cowboys in white hats were always on the side of right, and that was their might.
I AM GLAD MY PRESIDENT IS A “COWBOY!” HE WILL GET HIS MAN --- COWBOYS DO --- YOU KNOW!!!!!!!!! (author unknown)

OBAMA-DOES-THE-HUSTLE

OBAMA MOVES UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT — IT’S THE “HUSTLE”! --- HE WILL DO OR SAY ANYTHING TO GET WHAT HE WANTS. He was sworn into office January 4, 2005. He has spent most of his time in the Senate running for President! If he can’t do his Senate job— he surely can’t lead our nation. Obama has lost credibility with all his lies and his ties to anti-Americans, Marxists and terrorists. READ HIS BOOKS - he hates what this country stands for and will try to desecrate everything to appease his radical “racist” followers. From Obama’s book: “Audacity of Hope”: “I WILL STAND WITH THE MUSLIMS SHOULD THE POLITICAL WINDS SHIFT IN AN UGLY DIRECTION.” You can’t change a tiger’s stripes. He was “selected” by the DNC — not “elected” by the people. Hillary should be in this race.
McCAIN stands behind what he says. He was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Arizona in 1982. John McCain’s reform agenda to reduce federal spending and lower taxes quickly elevated him to statewide office and he was elected to the United States Senate in 1986, after serving two terms in the U.S. House. He will do the best he can for the people of the United States of America. He is ethical, honest, trustworthy and has the ‘experience’ and ‘judgment’ required to lead our country. I admire his willingness to reach across the aisle to get things done. He has proven he loves this country enough to die for her. He has two sons fighting for us now.
VOTE FOR McCAIN IN 2008.

NO-OBAMA

WHY is it okay for the BO camp to belittle and disrespect Sen. McCain's heroic war record, but no one can even mention Obama's drug dealing and user days???!!???
Doesn't anyone else see how insane that is??? Not to mention the SLUMS your little "messiah" is responsible for in the south side of Chicago.
Obama's list of mess-ups is longer than you fans want to admit. Stop taking hits off the ol' "hope bong" and wake up!!! (Oh yeah, come to think of it, he hasn't uttered the word "hope" since he stole the nomination) ... what a guy!!!
Obama was “selected” --- not “elected”. Hillary should be the democratic candidate.
I am not sure either party has nominated a less qualified candidate than Obama in the last fifty years.
He has no military experience. The Democrats sure thought military service was important when they pitched Kerry's 3.5 months of service in Nam.
We are still at war. Were you people wrong about the importance of military service then or now?
Obama does not have any executive level experience.
He has never been in charge of anything and now the Democrats think he is ready to lead the free world.
You guys are kidding right? Three years ago Obama was a state senator. He's still considered a junior Senator. He has spent his entire Senate time running for President. If he can’t do his Senate job --- how can he possibly run our country?
Please, oh please, anyone email and tell me in what way Obama is qualified to be President. It's all just a joke right?
No matter how much the press wants to hand this election to Obama, I still believe the American public will wake up and support the only qualified candidate running.
John McCain!
