Sen. John McCain hasn't had good luck joking about Iran. But he tried it again Tuesday. Responding to a question about a survey that shows increased exports to Iran, mainly from cigarettes, McCain said, "Maybe that's a way of killing them."
He quickly caught himself, saying "I meant that as a joke" as his wife, Cindy, poked him in the back.
Here's the video:
Cymbal crash, snare drum. Enjoy the borscht, McCain will be here until November 6th.
Now, jokes are jokes, and one shouldn't get too worked up about them. Yet, this is the second time that McCain has mined Iran for his stand-up routine. Invariably, the punch-line involves killing Iranians (See: "Bomb, Bomb, Iran"). Perhaps humor is his way of dealing with a thorny problems--like Iran's heightened influence in the middle east, or its nuclear ambitions (a debatable point), or the missiles the country tested yesterday, or its demagogic leader--yet it is a tad worrying that McCain, a man who might yet be president, continues to crack jokes that envision civilian death.
It's one thing to declare that you're not interested in public diplomacy with Iran. And another to continue with the macabre knee-slappers.
John McCain made a joke. Get over it, David Knowles.

This is a free country, but if one votes for John McLame, who is melting on the stomp, very dangerous, pathetic-looking, ongoing crass comments, ill-informed, mispronouncing words, not well-read, not liked by most Conservatives/Republicans anyway, hotheaded, foul-mouthed, not well-educated, ill-looking and becoming more and more senile on the stomp -- what else will this man say that is irretrievably dumb. He has Cindy with her arm up his jacket to direct his bodily moves, jab and pinch him to activate his sensory skill -- Libermann (sidekick) wired into his ear for memory; he is walking in smaller steps, which is a sign of severe aging; you never know what's coming out of his mouth; he doesn't know much about legislation (even the ones he authored), economics, technology and the difference btw Sunni and Shiites -- Iran and Russia. Now this is a far-stretch (CHOICE) to avoid voting for a man of color, who is MUCH BETTER QUALIFIED.

If Obama does not win this election, the USA sends a clear and loud message to our countrymen and the world, that we are still blinded by RACISM. There is no further reason or explanation if this should happen. No person should be elected to the presidency based upon their so-called heroism. Exactly, General Wesley Clark's message. There's nothing more to John McCain's credit than his military service. He's a DUMB BUNNY rejected in 2000 - there's a reason. His own mother said, he is to be watched. He is a deceitful user, womanizer, drunkard, foul-mouthed, ill-fit, ill-informed excuse for a presidential candidate. McCain is a horrible (CHOICE) to avoid voting for a man of color, who is MUCH BETTER QUALIFIED. This election will be a revelation of America's growth.

Just look at the photograph of McLame. This is not a man befitting to be President. Who wants to be subjected to his vile and repulsive comments...who wants to look at that face...Geez. He is very unpleasant to look at with that shyting eating grin he gives after saying something to him that is brilliant, but to the voters is off-colored and displays a man losing his bearings. Notice how he rarely touches Cindy; see the puckered-up photo of them -- McCain is not feeling nor showing any love. Those two will bring later scandal or personal issues to the presidency...just wait -- body language says a thousand words.

What more of a loser has the Republican Party than John McLame. McCain is an embarrassment and a total loser to the electorate in general. Anyone voting for this man is making a very tell-all statement. The negative statement about selling cigarettes to the Iranians is nothing new or revealing about John McCain. He is an ILL MAN -- both mentally and physically. Look at the aloof and estranged body language betw he and Cindy. His wife after her stroke elected to recover away from her so-called loving family, her hypertension, her drug-use and her need to adopt after three children tells a story - lady in deep inner pain. I see a lady in trouble...feel one day it will be revealed that she's been battered emotionally, psychologically and verbally for years -- look deeply at this woman -- my heart bleeds for her; that she wears a mask.

John McCain is "something waiting to detonate;" hothead, ill-tempered man of deceit, who once said, "That the reason Chelsea Clinton is so ugly, is bc Janet Reno is her father." Look beneath the words what he's inferring about Hillary -- a very vile and mean-spirited man. Google, learn what his 96yr old mother has said about him also. Ever wondered why his ex-wife, Carol is so mum...who knows, she could be silenced or plain desperate for his financial support. McCain's mouth and horrible grin, messes up his face; gives this retracted-grin after he often spews his dumb comments. Scary-looking President!
To pat selley: Okay, give his QUALIFICATIONS. Please do not start with the rhetoric of his POW and military service. I know of a man that served two tours of duty and his is one basket case. Cannot keep a job; has mental issues; not responsible citizen; uses his parents and siblings to support him. He is 45 and never gainfully employed. Would his military service qualify him as a presidential candidate? I DON'T THINK SO. Many presidents were military and did poor job...look at the sitting prez. Care to comment. Some of those guys are really mentally warp and bad for America. War-mongerings and believe that war is a solution as they exercise and stretch their crotches to prove their manhood. Both Bush and McCain are not very well-educated, which I'd take a very smart, intelligent and well rounded person with good judgment over a military hero or veteran any day.

Well, Laugh "all you want." You will see who will have the last laugh, if this country -- GOD FORBID -- elects McLame for president. We will be in big trouble. And remember, you were full warned, as we become a financially bankrupt country, who is already losing its standing in the world, as Republicans have fatten their pockets at the expense of the middle-classand brought us to this recession. McCain will finish us off; he will continue in war and jeopardize our military forces and arms, and expand the war into Iran. This man has very poor judgment...look at his behavior record, his credibility through his personal life; ever wondered why most of his military records are "sealed?" What a family man? Management skills starts at home. Didn't Hillary Clinton's Campaign just give us a glimpse of how she'd run this country? Just get over yourself and accept that Barack Obama is the better choice...give the man an opportunity to lead his country...you have less to lose with Obama. It is your choice!

I saw McCain after he had the nomination and he not only was talking about Iraq, and bombing Iran but also he said "And then we will go to Cuba and get the guy that tortured us in Viet Nam." This sounds like a war monger to me. I just want to get out of the war we are in now. Not start new ones.

Methinks there is now running for America's top leadership spot, not one but two dangerous men of two dangerous parties of one endangered nation of 300 million endangered inhabitants. Either of the two, in his own way, can & possibly will quickly bring America to her knees. We CAN do better. We MUST do better. We need a smart man to lead America, thus let us get that help from whom I believe to be the smartest man in America: Dr.(?) Phil McGraw. The position of President is largely figurative, yet he retains the undisputable power to “press the button” which would change the world as we know it and eventually cause the extermination of all living things on earth, the nuclear bomb. I certainly do not trust that responsibility to either Obama or McCain. Regardless of the petty faux pax rumors you might hear from the faux pax scandal sheets, McGraw has an astounding knowledge and intuition when it comes to human behavior and the needed remedies of such . His equally strong suit is his remarkable leadership ability. Can you imagine the great job he could do in keeping those several idiots in congress on a straight path! Sadly, tho, this is only my dream, and it is not going to happen. We sheep are going to keep on accepting whatever wolf that is put before us, whining a lot but accepting our fate. That is what we are.
