They believe in the following 12 precepts and covenantal statements. These Black Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Blacks are gathered. They must reflect on the following concepts:

1. Commitment to God
2. Commitment to the Black Community
3. Commitment to the Black Family
4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
6. Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of "Middleclassness"
9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions
11. Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System
12. Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System.

Please read the "Black Value System" again -- only this time, substitute the word "White" for "Black."

If your church had such a "White Value System" Jesse and Al and the NAACP would have 10,000 demonstrators out front in a heartbeat.

McCain reversed his previous opposition to offshore drilling on June 16th before a series of fundraisers with energy industry executives, and on June 17th he raised $1.3 million from drilling advocates at a private luncheon at the San Antonio Country Club.

Nearly 75 percent of the existing leases on federal lands held by oil companies are currently producing no oil. Those companies today hold nearly 30 million acres dormant.

Perhaps supporters of this drilling hoax should ask McCain's friends in the industry why they aren't exploring or producing on the leases they already control. A truthful answer would be that those leases count as financial assets whether productive or not -- adding to them enhances an oil firm's record profits.

Obama’s plan:

- provides short-term relief to American families facing high gas prices with direct relief of $500 per individual, paid by the oil companies which continue to gouged us at the pump.

- helps create five million new jobs by strategically investing $150 billion over the next ten years to catalyze private efforts to build a clean energy future. Within 10 years save more oil than we currently import from the Middle East and Venezuela combined.

- puts 1 million plug-in hybrid cars – cars that can get up to 150 miles per gallon – on the road by 2015, cars that we will work to make sure are built here in America.

- ensures 10 percent of our electricity comes from renewable sources by 2012, and 25 percent by 2025.

Obama's plan respects people's intelligence with some concrete solutions while McCain plays politics with the same tricks and panders you'd expect from a 3rd Bush term.
