Why would anyone indorse anything Obama has to say?

He has no concept of the political machine set up in Washington.

Obama has been ahead of the curve constantly when it comes to Iraq and Afghanistan. He was right in calling our attack on Iraq a "stupid war". He was right in saying that we need to concnetrate on Afghanistan when McCain was still focusing on Iraq. And now the Iraq PM is saying that his 16 month timeline is right. Experience only works if you have the brains to use it. Obamam is showing that brains leads the way.

Davey you did not just pull some clip out of a speech and weave your own context around it (but that's what you did if you don't recognize sarcasm) All that clip does is say he is okay with a 16 month timetable, and it doesn't even mention anything specific. And your headline for this post? Seriously. It sounds as if you have a full interview to back up your title, and when we get here, it's all of two sentences that say absolutely nothing really. Get your tongue out of Barry's mouth and your keyboard out of our cyber space. You've been lobbying for Barry when he stepped foot in Iowa, and you bashed Hillary to no end. Sandy.....exactly what foreign affairs issues has Obama worked on with Biden and Webb? In fact he has never even chaired a meeting on Afghanistan...a committe he is chairman of!

All those in favor of more US troop and civilian fatalities in Iraq at a cost of even more than $3 trillion, in the name of non-existent WMDs (or even in the name of oil...bwahhahaha...look what's happened to oil prices since our invasion), please have the huevos to say it here. Six years ago Obama predicted the exact quagmire Bush/McCain got us into. Since then, he's urged diplomacy there and in Iran. Repubs: "No, that's too girly. Can't talk to the axis of evil." McCain: "I wanna bomb, bomb, bomb Iran. I wanna call my wife a 'trollop' and a 'c - - t.' I wanna hurl more F-bombs at my Congressional colleagues, I wanna pick more foreign countrymen up by their collars during sensitive negotiations." McCain dared Obama to go, now his campaign denigrates the trip. A week or so ago, McCain accuses Maliki of playing politics with his (Maliki's) reference to getting the US out of HIS country, and now Maliki like's Obama's plan. Obama has a better "hit ratio" of making judgments and decisions, but whatever tack Obama takes, he can't-win-for-winning in the eyes of McCain or his backers.

Obama is a small shiny object that the easily fascinated can stare deeply into his blank sheen and see..... their own reflections.. He can be anything to anyone because he is nothing in particular...

Obama is a media creation..

And with regards to his criticism of others support for a resolution that would (and did) designate the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization, it’s important to point out that he “cosponsored legislation in April that called on the Secretary of State to do exactly that.”

Of course, he didn’t say a word before the vote either, it was only after the votes were cast that he ‘opposed’ it suddenly.

Obama's understanding of foreign policy is extraordinarily limited. He has had one job in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee: chairman of the Europe and NATO subcommittee. He has not held a single policy hearing in that capacity because, as he said in a debate, he has been too busy running for president. He has not even taken a fact-finding trip until now or provided any other oversight.

Danyal...The point of all this is: The Iraqis have asked for a timetable. Bush, Cheney, McCain are all against a timetable for withdrawal. The Iraqis do not welcome permanent US military bases inside their borders. Bush, Cheney, McCain are all insisting on permanent bases. Obama has been in front of the learning curve in regards to Iraq since before the war began and he remains there. Maliki simply agrees and backs Obama's plan because it aligns with the wishes of his people while Bush, Cheney and McCain's do not.

Obama has someone feeding him information now that makes him "appear" as if he knows what he is talking about. However...bless his heart...Lou Dobbs has abstained from the "free punch" and is still his own man. He doesn't hesitate to call a "spade a spade" (no pun intended) and has frequently slapped Obama down as arrogant and "who does he think he is...demanding that we all learn to speak Spanish in this country, etc?"
