Hillary Delegate Stripped for McCain Support

The Democratic Party of Wisconsin voted, on Friday, to strip Hillary Clinton delegate Debra Bartoshevich of her credentials, according to WisPolitics.com:
"The bottom line is simple," Wineke said. "She has refused to support the nominee of the Democratic Party, and our state administrative committee ... felt that the person that should represent the 1st Congressional District for Hillary Clinton should be someone who backs the nominee -- as Hillary Clinton has requested."
The ruling is consistent with the Democratic National Committee's rules for Superdelegates, which state that a Super will lose his or her status for endorsing an opposition candidate.

According to the AP, Bartoshevich is a member of Citizens for McCain, an organization within the McCain campaign that uses a doctored photo of a Clinton supporter to promote itself.

Bartoshvich was not happy with the ruling:
Following the vote, Debra Bartoshevich said in a phone call with WisPolitics the result was no surprise to her.

"This was all pre-planned, everyone came in with the notion that they weren't going to listen to my argument," she said.
Members of the Puma movement, dedicated to channeling loyalty to Hillary Clinton into a McCain victory in November, have displayed varying degrees of apoplexy:
" Obviously, the Dems' big tent is very exclusive." - Freedom Eden
I thought this was telling, especially the way "the Dems" are referred to in the third person. Yes, Freedom Eden, the "Dems" do exclude people who want to defeat them.

This incident points up the central difference between Pumas and the Democratic Party, aside from the obvious, that members of the Democratic Party are Democrats. The Party works with a consistent set of rules. You might not like them, but they are what they are. The DNC made a huge concession in granting Hillary Clinton any delegates at all from Florida and Michigan.

A reader noted that "The Denver Police Department have attack dogs, bicycles, stun guns, tear gas and every other type of riot control to ward off all 12 PUMA's."

What they haven't done, apparently, is to purchase the only thing they'll really need, a fleet of Wahhhmbulances.

Update: In case anyone had any doubt as to just how loyal and knowledgeable these "lifelong Democrats" who now support McCain are, get a load of this:
But, before the vote, in her explanation of why she should still be seated as a convention delegate, she repeatedly referred to the "Democrat Party" -- and, to party leaders, those are fighting words.

"Democrat Party" is the term repeatedly used by one of the party's chief tormentors, radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh, Wisconsin Democratic leaders told Bartoshevich.
Actually, it's a term used by lots of cheesy, childish right-wing hacks, including George W. Bush. The idea is to try to stop getting people to associate the Democratic Party with actually being democratic. It's the only weapon they have, since their actions and beliefs belie this.

Any Democrat with a modicum of political engagement knows this. Add this to a long list of such things that Pumas seem not to know.
