The uber-rich campaign of the junior U.S. Senator from Illinois, Barack Obama, has released a campaign ad in "response" to John McCain's so-called "attacks." Keep in mind, Obama's campaign is the first candidate committee to have released a General Election "negative" ad. The :30 second spot is titled "Low Road."
This ad is ridiculous.
Barack Obama's campaign needs to stop whining and grow up. Whining like a whipped puppy is not exactly an example of an American leadership. Maybe Obama's European frockling drained him of testosterone.
The spot starts with black-and-white grainy pictures of the McCain so-called attacks. In and of itself, the start of this spot is an old political trick to make an attack of being attacked.
You can't watch Mr. Obama for more than a day and realize his branding as a new style political persona is all a lie. Nothing changes with him, it's the same old political song-and-dance.
And with this ad, again, the whining is simply a bunch of hooey.
Americans love conflict in politics. We like the show. Aside from the participatory aspects of our Republican-democracy, it's the fight that makes it our national past time.
In an effort to encourage the same level of civil dialogue among Politics Daily’s readers that we expect of our writers – a “civilogue,” to use the term coined by PD’s Jeffrey Weiss – we are requiring commenters to use their AOL or AIM screen names to submit a comment, and we are reading all comments before publishing them. Personal attacks (on writers, other readers, Nancy Pelosi, George W. Bush, or anyone at all) and comments that are not productive additions to the conversation will not be published, period, to make room for a discussion among those with ideas to kick around.
