'Pocket' - New Obama Ad
The latest negative attack ad from the campaign of Barack Obama was released today. Titled, "Pocket" the :30 second spot takes on John McCain on energy policies.

This latest ad was launched as Obama unveiled his latest energy policies(see Mark Impomeni's piece) at a rally (that couldn't even draw 1,000 people) in Lansing, Michigan.
This ad demonstrates fully what kind of change Obama will bring and what his new politics is all about. Simply put, he's a scam.
According to Opensecrets.org and Factcheck.org, Obama and McCain are both prohibited from taking money from oil corporations and all corporations for that matter (a law on the books since 1907). But both candidates have received campaign contributions from oil company employees and executives.
Obama's campaign has received $400,000 from these "big oil" donors.
This type of big lie would make even Karl Rove blush. Obamacons really can't sip their lattes in self-righteous smugness after watching this spot and seeing their fallen icon smear and distort to distract from his own craven political ambitions.
It's been a rough week for Obama's campaign and one senses the desperation in spots like this. But this is important. It shows the character of the candidate. And if there was any doubt left, Obama has a restricted supply.

Pelosi is a liar, an incompetent, a triangular, and by no stretch of the imagination anything near a "leader".
Does anyone else find it as frustrating that Nancy Pelosi continues to deny house republicans the time and the right to bring up off shore drilling. She continues to stonewall them by NOT Allowing republican representatives the floor to bring this bill up.
Doesn’t this say that:
A) she doesn’t care about the American individual and
B) she is pushing her own personal agenda of hate against BUSH on us.
C) Maybe her agenda and that of other democrats is to protect the golden-by chosen one so he doesn’t have to vote on it!
WE NEED TO GET THIS EVIL WOMAN OUT OF OFFICE NOW --- along with Reid, Dean, Biden, Kerry and Kennedy.
This is a serious issue --- she works for us --- not on her own --- IMPEACH this woman!
She has failed this country.
Vote for John McCain in November.

There is a darker side to Obama that the American voters have failed to see. Something tells me he is evil. Playing the race card, shows his level of intelligence, the smooth talker, does so from scripted scripts by speech writers.
He has no ideas of his own and, therefore, avoids town hall meetings with McCain.
Americans better watch out, lest they elect a surrogate President --- Idama, Nigeria
Obama has always injected race into the Presidential race, from early on. His campaign is constantly race-baiting.
It seems Obama wants headlines on race, even if he has to play his race card on Himself.
He is true to his Chicago dirty politics, He is evil, vile and runs the dirtiest campaign out of anyone.
Then he tries to put on the innocent look and say, “Woe is me”, and “Everyone is picking on me”.
He stoops as low as you can go. I think someone needs to investigate how he manipulates minds, how he mind-conditions people and gets them to blindly follow him, while excusing all the evil and wrong he does.
There’s some serious stuff going on there.
STOP THE DRAMA --- NO OBAMA.
GET A BRAIN --- VOTE McCAIN.

It's not a dishonest lie. McCain has taken money from oil companies. We all know corporations get around the corporate finance law by forming PACs. While Obama has received $385,000 from these committees, McCain recevied 1.1 million from them in the months following his proposal to lift the ban on off shore drilling.
On another note, how can you call this a sense of desparation from the Obama camp, when the last few ads from McCain have compared Obama to Britney, Paris, and Moses? That seems way more desparate than someone putting ads out about gas prices.

A windfall profits tax to give families a $1,000.00 rebate, which will pretend to help pay for the higher prices put in place because of the windfall profits tax. ?!?!?!

I think the WINDFALL PROFITS TAX is a good idea. Oil companies may try to pass this tax on to the consumer, but regardless of what they do, they will be paying a WINDFALL PROFITS TAX and that money will be returned to the consumer. It may ultimately end with price caps if the oil companies don't realize that they can't keep gouging the American public like they are currently doing. I think that there should be a price cap on gas right now. Especially when big oilt is making record profits and have the largest market cap of any corportation in the world.

When Clinton proposed suspending gas taxes for the summer and wanted to pay for it by using a windfall profit tax on the oil companies, didn't Obama and his advisors all say it wouldn't work? Seems they said the companies would just pass it on to the consumers. Does he now have some kind of agreement with the oil companies so they won't pass on a tax to us? Has he got some buddies in the executive offices at Exxon or Mobil that made some promises to him? If they did, what did he promise them in return?
