I opted for the text message format as well as the email. Now it will be a race to see who can get the info up here on PM first. I already know I can type faster than Tommy, but his day job seems more lenient than mine. The dark horse in the race will be David Knowles who appears to have a psychic ability to find stories that no one else has even seen yet.
Either way, we're geared up to get the announcement up here the fastest way the campaign claims we can. Unless of course it's leaked out before they can hit "send".

I am curious, what frightens you the most, his intellect, his charm, his patience, his oratory skills or his beautiful family?

I got the same email, so it is just another Obama way of getting attention. No one is special Denise. I did not respond to it, because I don't care. I have tried to stop his email, but have not been successful. Obama's team does not read emails sent to them by the average Joe, it they did I would not still be on their email list.

Holy crap. This makes me really nervous. I'm not in Obama's five. It's three hours earlier here than in New Jersey. What if I'm asleep when the announcement is made and I'm not the first person to publicly humiliate Tommy on the loss of our VP bet? Denise, can I e-mail you my cell phone number? It's really important that I comment on this first. That'll set the tone for everyone else to chime in and be condesending to him all day long. In fact, I'd better start writing my acceptance speech right now just so it's ready to go when the time comes.

Hey, Jo in SoCal. I'm in the same time zone so I've been worried about being late to the announcement party too. I don't want to humiliate Tommy. He's too much fun for that. But, I've never gotten an e-mail before telling me to wait for THE e-mail or ask for (and for those of us without unlimited texting, pay for) a text message. Senator Obama is really innovative and imaginative. Now, this is change we can believe in.

I think you're only gonna get the text messages about the "fun" stuff, i.e. the "Bono at the Inauguration" announcement, the "Nate Berkus makes over the White House on a Very Special Oprah" announcement, the "Colin Cowie plans the First State Dinner" announcement, you know, that kind of stuff. The tax hike is going to go totally under the radar as if we've all just suddenly had some frontal cortex damage and aren't supposed to notice.

If Obama were to choose her as his V.P., and she accepted- if you vote for Obama you are basically letting bygones be bygones after the way the DNC tossed your candidate on to the scrap heap.
