Declaration of Independence says that we have the God-given rights to "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness". Why does Obama exempt 50-million and counting 4,000/day Americans from the God-given right to Life? Maybe that question's above his pay grade.

The federal Born Alive Act which Senator Obama supports offers two sets of definitions. It first defines “person,” “human being,” “child,” and “individual” – when used in federal legislation – as including a “born-alive infant.” It then defines a “born-alive infant” as a member of the homo sapiens species that has been completely expelled or extracted from its mother and, after expulsion or extraction, either breathes, has a beating heart, has an umbilical cord pulsation, or has definite movement of voluntary muscles.
The statute adds that the definitions apply regardless of whether or not the umbilical cord has been cut, and regardless of whether the expulsion or extraction resulted from natural or induced labor, C-section, or induced abortion. The statute then states that it may not be read to expand or contract legal rights applicable to members of the human species prior to their being born alive.
Put simply, according to the statute, any person who is completely born has all of the same basic rights under law as any other person who is completely born, regardless of whether or not it was wanted. Even if the person’s mother was attempting to terminate the life of the fetus within her, once it is completely outside of her body and alive, its status changes and the law treats this person no differently from any other.
Most right-wing smears are directed toward the litigation-riddled Illinois Liability Act. Obama said he did not vote for this because it was ambiguous, and because the proposed legislation would, among other things, have opened up lawsuits against doctors and hospitals.

The Illinois Liability Act does not tell us, for example, at what point during the process of birth the infant can be said to have been “born alive.” This proposal was not, in simple black-and-white terms, about the rights of an infant who survives that process, but was also considered an attack on Roe v. Wade.

Obama has said we owe it to the American public to explore the potential of stem cells to treat the millions of people suffering from debilitating and life threatening diseases.
Stem cells hold the promise of treatments and cures for more than 70 major diseases and conditions such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease, spinal cord injuries, and diabetes. As many as 100 million Americans may benefit from embryonic stem cell research.
As president, Obama has said would: Promote Embryonic Stem Cell Research Support Medical Advancement and Innovation Expand the Number of Stem Cell Lines Available for Research Ensure Ethical Standards
Obama introduced legislation in the Illinois Senate to ensure that ONLY those embryos that would OTHERWISE BE DISCARDED could be used and that donors would have to provide written consent for the use of the embryos.

Obama was asked by a protester, "Mr. Obama, I know you're a Christian, with a family of your own. So how can you support murdering babies?"
Obama -- I told him I understood his position but had to disagree with it. I explained my belief that few women made the decision to terminate a pregnancy casually; that any pregnant woman felt the full force of the moral issues involved when making that decision; that I feared a ban on abortion would force women to seek unsafe abortions, as they had once done in this country. I suggested that perhaps we could agree on ways to reduce the number of women who felt the need to have abortions in the first place.
"I will pray for you," the protester said. "I pray that you have a change of heart." Obama -- Neither my mind nor my heart changed that day, nor did they in the days to come. But that night, before I went to bed, I said a prayer of my own-that I might extend the same presumption of good faith to others that had been extended to me.

Why does McCain adamently support an illegal invasion that has taken over 800,000 lives, croppled millions and is costing $1 million a minute all based on lies and deceit?

Obama is an original co-sponsor of legislation to expand access to contraception, health information and preventive services to help reduce unintended pregnancies. Introduced in January 2007, the Prevention First Act will increase funding for family planning and comprehensive sex education that teaches both abstinence and safe sex methods. The Act will also end insurance discrimination against contraception, improve awareness about emergency contraception, and provide compassionate assistance to rape victims.

Less than half of parents collecting child support receive the full payments they are due. More than $11 billion in child support goes unpaid every year.
Obama introduced legislation to increase child support enforcement by an additional $4.9 billion over 10 years, a measure that will collect nearly $20 billion in payments from men who don't fulfill their parental responsibilities. The bill also makes sure that states pass through 100 percent of collected child support payments to families.

Obama will make available a new national health plan to all Americans, including the self-employed and small businesses, to buy affordable health coverage that is similar to the plan available to members of Congress.
The plan will require that all children have health care coverage.

In the Illinois State Senate, Obama was a leader on early childhood education, helping create the state's Early Learning Council. In the U.S. Senate, Obama has been a leader in working to make college more affordable -- proposing a refundable tax credit which will ensure that the first $4,000 of a college education is completely free for those willing to serve, for example, leading community projects or abroad in the Peace Corps. His very first bill sought to increase the maximum Pell Grant award to $5,100. As a member of the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions committee, Obama helped pass legislation to achieve that goal in the recent improvements to the Higher Education Act.

McCain, on the other hand, wants to game the Supreme Court by throwing out any dissent on the right-wing's agenda of intolerance toward women and their masterplan to seize control every uterus.
