John McCain's campaign is airing a new :30 second spot titled "Debra." The spot features a Debra Bartoshevich a self-proclaimed Hillary Clinton supporter turned McCain voter.
Get the new PD toolbar! Barack Obama's campaign calls the spot a stunt and a distraction. They're probably right on the stunt part but stunt's can have a political impact!
Contrasting with other spots in current rotation, this ad is at least positive in tone.
The ad's script reads
DEBRA BARTOSHEVICH: I'm a proud Hillary Clinton Democrat.
She had the experience and judgment to be President.
Now, in a first for me, I'm supporting a Republican, John McCain.
I respect his maverick and independent streak, and now he's the one with the experience and judgment.
A lot of Democrats will vote McCain. It's okay, really!
JOHN MCCAIN: I'm John McCain and I approved this message.
Oh really? You supported Hillary and now since your candidate didn't win, you're going to 'show them' because you didn't get your way. What a CROCK! This election isn't about one person! It's about a philosophy. Why did you support Hillary? Health care, the war in Iraq, the economy, women's issues? What was it? Hillary and Barack agree on 99% of the issues! But you'd rather vote for McCain who wants to overturn Roe V. Wade and has a terrible record when it comes to women's rights. Or maybe you've changed your mind now and think we need to continue to send our children into a foreign country to fight their civil war...hmmm, that makes sense. Oh, I know you you're better off to continue Bush's economic policies of taxing the poor and giving tax cuts to the wealthy and big corporations. That must be it. You're just a rich out of touch woman who has no clue what it's like here in the real World. That explains why you can't deal with loosing, you're a spoiled brat. Please! What a load of crap!!

Here is some information about a friend of Obama's who will speak tonight at the Denver Convention: Alexi Giannoulias -Illinois State Treasurer.
Alexi Giannoulias--a man who has long been dogged by charges that the bank his family owns helped finance a Chicago crime figure and who became Illinois state treasurer in 2006 after Barack Obama vouched for him -- pledged to raise $100,000 for the senator's Oval Office bid. Charles Hurt reported September 5, 2007, in the New York Post

Dear American Citizens and the mass media of U.S.A.
As a concerned disabled American Veteran and American citizen, I consider it my duty and responsibility to bring following critical characteristics of so called Maverick McCain to you for proving me wrong or right.
"The citizens of the United States of America have the ultimate responsibility to elect the " Right Candidate with the right temperament" to lead our nation' to address our nations present and future moral, democratic, economic, educational, health care, energy, military, and foundational soul of our nation.
In my firm professional opinion that the media should help the common voter to explore and discuss following attributes of Hon. Senator McCain.
1. Does he have a calm, cool, and collected " temper " [ Presidential Temperament ]? 2. Does he have a sound and sustained "Judgment and Caliber"? 3. Does he have a reveal a presidential "Thought-fullness and togetherness" of purpose and positions? 4. Does he lot or little "ex-poser and exploitation" around Washington"? 5. Does he poses enough " Vigor, wisdom and Vision " for our Great-grand Nation? 6. Does he poses foreign policy exploit-es based on " American Values, Virtuous, Vastness"? 7. Does his campaign talk. slogans and ads are based of facts and free of fiction, deception, seduction, and attacks?
If your answer to the above questions is yes then recommend and vote for him.
But in my professional. political, and personal opinion that vote is against the common interests majority of American people, against the world humanity, continuation of status qua and possibly dangerous world order.
Long live U.S.A and its democratic people and their common sense.

PUMA we love you. Mc Cain and Clinton have very simular views and only differ on health care which is something that can not easily be addressed by any party. Obama played the race card on Biden then both Clintons, but the biggest diservice was the main stream media letting Obama get away with saying anything. Also if the Rev Wright stuff came out earlier many how voted for Obama would have been turned off and never supported him. Hillary can run again in 2112 maybe she will be a Republican then.

SHE LOOKS YOUNG ENOUGH TO BE DRAFTED!!! Some people are really stupid. How the F*CK! do you vote for Mccain because you''re mad Hillary didn''t become the VP. Are people so stupid that they truly believe that they will "hurt" Obama. $HIT!! Obama is now wealthy beyond his wildest dreams. He''s not going to be hurt if Mccain is the next president. The people of this country will be. The American people will continue to have their civil liberties violated. They will continue to pay their money just to have their job outsourced overseas. They will continue to lose their homes because of Mccain policies developed by Phil Gramm. They will continue to pay their tax dollars to "bail-out" financial institutions that abused the "Enron loophole." They will be upset when their children are drafted into the military to fight Mccains wars. But it will be to late to change their votes. Obviously, people don't realize what Mccain stands for? If nothing else, they should get this one thing in their heads. YOUR CHILDREN WILL BE DRAFTED INTO THE ARMY TO FIGHT WARS!!! When it happens after you elect him, remember it was your choice to KILL YOUR OWN CHILD. REMEMBER THAT!!

Obama needs to go on the offensive. The McCain people have already put out 3 ads since Biden has been chosen VP. Obama needs to retaliate and fire back with 3 ads of his own. Republicans are using the Karl Rove approach which has worked for the last 2 presidential elections. It doesn't matter whether the ads are true or not true, Republicans continue to run a negative campaign. They continue to use "Bully" Tactics and in doing so they are turning this campaign in their favor. The only way to stop a "Bully" is to fight back and make him aware that your not afraid of him. Bullies don't fight back once you give them a taste of their own medicine. Obama is being too nice, but I have a feeling he will begin to fight back this week. The time is NOW!

YOU STILL DON'T GET IT!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRESS IS IN CONTROL OF WHAT LAWS AND DECISIONS ARE MADE IN THE UNITED STATES. WE NEED TO REPLACE THIS CONGRESS WITH REPUBLICANS THAT PROMOTE BUSINESS SO WE CAN HAVE MORE JOBS. LESS GOVERNMENT GIVE AWAYS, REDUCE GOVERNMENT SPENDING...NOT RAISE TAXES.... KEEP THE TAX REDUCTION LAWS THAT ARE ON THE BOOKS....DRILL FOR OIL... PROMOTE BECOMING OUR OWN FUEL PROVIDERS....QUIT SUBSIDISING ANYTHING.....LISTEN UP... THIS DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS HAS SENT OUR MILITARY PLANE BUSINESS TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES... HAS MANDATED THAT WE WILL USE THOSE SQUIRLEY LIGHT BULBS... AND SENT ALL OF THE BUSINESS TO MANUFACTURE THEM TO CHINA....THAT IS JUST A FEW OF THE THINGS THEY HAVE DONE. VOTE FOR REPUBLICANS ALL THE WAY. WE DO NEED CHANGE AND IT BEGINS IN CONGRESS.

If she were a real Democrat, and if she believed in the ideals Hillary stood for( such as the right of women to choose, national health insurance, non-idealogues on the Supreme Court)there is no way she could go for John Mc Cain, a straight laced conservative fiscally and socially. I tend to think she may have been romantically linked to John. Or maybe Cindy?

The only crap here is that all Clinton supporters knew that Hillary was so much more qualified to be president than the "empty suit Obama". Just think if a "white guy" with the qualifications or should I say no qualifications, was running for president; just think how far he would have gone. Geraldine Ferraro was right! This incompetent man because of the color of his skin and the liberal "white guilt" could possibly become president. Maybe the Hillary supporters are smarter than your elitist thinking and fully understand that John McCain is so much better qualified than the "empty suit" Obama to be president.

The are you a Democrat test:
Would a Democrat vote to kill our bravest young people for 100 years?
Would a Democrat vote for a man who does not know that 9-11 was caused by Osama Bin Laden not Sedam Hussein?
Would a Democrat vote the man who does not know if the Sunnis or Sheits are our enemies?
Would a Democrat vote for the man who voted against increasing benefits for the military that he sends in harm's way?
Would a Democrat vote to keep putting our government on the China, Saudi Arabia credit card?
Would a Democrat vote for tax cuts only for the wealthy?
Would a Democrat vote for opposition to SCHIP?
Would a Democrat vote for tax credits for health care instead of a nation health care system?
Would a Democrat vote to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Would a Democrat vote for a right-wing Supreme Court?
Would a Democrat vote for a third Bush term?
Would a Democrat vote for a man who says the economic downturn is psychological?
Would a Democrat vote for a man who says you are better off under George Bush?
Would a Democrat vote for a man who says irresponsible, undeserving homeowners are losing their homes?
Would a Democrat vote for a man who voted against raising the minimum wage in, 1989, 1996, 1998, 2000, and 2006?

McCain would not reinstitute the draft. He has 2 sons who fought in Iraq. When McCain says 100-year war, he only meant as necessary like our troops are still in South Korea to protect democracy and our ally.Think about being a POW tortured for 5 years. He will be the first person to avoid war unless it threatens our lives and national security and our allies. What can he gain by starting a war.His wife is already a multimillionaire.Bush and McCain are visionaries they think ahead and do pre-emptive strikes if necessary. We should learn from history so that we won't repeat the same errors.Remember Hitler and the former Soviet Union who we allowed to invade one country after another before we knew their goal was World domination.

To BFLAT and AB: Why is it so difficult to comprehend the reason the majority of Clinton supporters are voting for McCain is because they believe Obama is not only inexperienced, but arrogant as well. As for McCain, with a democratic majority in the House and Senate, he will be unable to do much harm.
We do not like Obama, his associates, his race-baiting (yes, he did), his dirty Chicago politics and his paper thin resume. He is so far left when many in the party lean more to the center. He has accomplished very little as far as legislation. He has chosen Joe Biden for V.P. knowing full well his vote to invade Iraq mirrored Hillary Clinton's vote too...something he continually reminded us of during the primaries. He fought hard not to allow the votes of the MI and FL primaries, but now wants those delegates fully restored.
He is anything but "change and hope". He is a typical politician who shafted his supporters into thinking he was "the one the world is waiting for".
We just want him to go away.

Look-there is nothing wrong with switching if you are a Rep or Dem. I was a Hillary supporter until things went the way they did and Obama throwing her under the bus. I am sorry you all feel that we are brats because we did not win. As for me, I live in the real world and know enough to vote for McCain instead of obummer for the reasons of all the issues we face daily. He is the one with all the experience HANDS ON. Your little obummer is worthless and even Biden wont help now McCain'08

A matter of experience.
A matter of experience, or lack thereof, has been a major area of focus and debate in conjunction with the current presidential campaign. It has been mentioned many times that experience matters much more than having just a vision for change. Then there are those that contend that the experience does not matter and that all you need is a vision.
In line with the matter of experience, I would like to ask the following;
Has there been a major corporation wherein a junior executive, with less than four years on the job, has become the CEO of that corporation?
Has there been a reputable Law firm wherein a junior Lawyer, with less than four years on the job, has become a full partner or was assigned a major case for that firm?
Has there been a Police Department or Fire department wherein a rookie officer/firefighter, with less than four years on the job, has become the chief of Police or the Fire Captain?
Has there been a major media outlet, such as a newspaper, magazine, or news outlet such as CNN, where a junior reporter, with less than four years on the job, has become the Editor in Chief or an anchor for the news?
The list could run on. The major point here is that in each and every case experience does matter. Across all aspects of our society, it has been proven that those with the experience on the job are those that have earned the right to move up into a position of leadership.
Therefore, it is also true with decidedly the most important leadership job in our country, if not the world. To be the President of the United States requires experience. Having a vision for change is a good thing. Not having the proven experience to see that vision carried out is quite another.
With the current state of our nation, the job of our next President will be one of the toughest in history. The rising deficit, our declining economy and jobs market, the meltdown in both the financial and housing markets, Global warming and its potential impacts, the immigration crisis and the War in Iraq and Afghanistan, are just some of the critical challenges that our next President must address. It is going to take much more than just a vision to take on the issues facing our nation and its people. It is going to take experience, a lot of experience.
I urge that the people of America consider this fact as they continue with the process of choosing who is to sit in the Oval Office come next January. As I have stated vision is a good thing. It has been at the heart and soul of our nation since the founding. It took great vision to challenge the powers of the time and give birth to the oldest democracy on our planet. However without proven experience the vision would have been lost.
Experience does matter.
