On February 18, 2008, Michelle Obama commented in Milwaukee, Wisconsin that "For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback."

Later that evening she reworded her stump speech in Madison, Wisconsin, saying "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I'm "REALLY" proud of my country, and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change."

OBAMA'S WIFE WILL "SPEAK" TONIGHT! FOR THE PAST WEEK, HIS ADVISORS, SPEECHWRITERS AND TELEPROMPTERS HAVE BEEN HARD AT WORK! SHE HAS BEEN TRAINED TO DO AN OSCAR-PERFORMANCE TONIGHT. TOO LITTLE --- TOO LATE. I WON'T FORGET WHAT SHE HAS SAID --- SHE CAN'T FLIP-FLOP AND CHANGE MY MIND.

Everyone knows Obama's wife hates Hillary. Hillary had 18 million American voters on her side. Obama hired lawyers to keep the Florida and Michigan votes out. Now the DNC will allow them to be counted for him. There is something wrong with this picture!

Obama is an idiot to let his wife pull the strings. Biden does not change the nature of the race. At the end of the day, we will vote for a president --- not a vice president!

I AM VOTING FOR THE HONORABLE JOHN McCAIN IN 2008. HE HAS THE EXPERIENCE AND GOOD JUDGMENT REQUIRED FOR THIS OFFICE.

Obama is unqualified and unfit to become Commander-In-Chief. In fact, his association with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, among others, would prevent him from getting the security clearance needed to enter the military as a private. HE HAS NEVER SERVED OUR COUNTRY!

American citizens are beginning to realize that Obama and his angry wife are the most dangerous socialists to ever attempt a White House takeover.

It used to be that a candidate running for the highest position in the United States had to have an impeccable reputation, patriotism above reproach, outstanding ability and experience, a wife worthy to be first lady, and a character of the highest integrity.

There has never been a candidate for the presidency of the United States with more questionable background, more controversial issues, and more conflicts than Obama.

Obama has neither ability nor experience.

He truly is a Muslim who wants to be seen as a Christian. (How's that for disloyalty to both religions?)

There is much controversy regarding his birth place?
He is receiving large donations from China, Iran, Iraq and who knows where else? Now it's being denied.

He is half white but identifies only with black.

His wife is a militant black who thinks like Malcolm X.

The conflicts and controversies, rumors, myths grow bigger by the hour.

Years ago this would have been a formula to reject such a candidate simply on the basis he was too controversial and suspicious to represent America.

Now --- none of those items seems to matter to a large percentage of voters as long as they think he is black, Muslim, and looks good.

Why not let O.J. become a member of the Supreme Court of the United States. So what if he killed two people! Why did Ted Bundy have to be executed? He would have made a good crime investigator! So what if he killed all those women.

In other words, it seems it doesn't matter how wrong or controversial a person may be as long as he is popular.

What is wrong with the minds of the American voters?
If Obama is elected, then God help America --- It will get what it deserves!

The Honorable John McCain has proven he loves our country enough to die for us! As on Proud American, he gets my vote!

I'm most troubled by the apparent forgery of his cross in the sand Christmas story. Along with the McCain lies about Mother Theresa, you have to wonder what else this guy will make up to win.

Actually I think McCain tries to down play being a POW... Obama's troop is the one who keeps bringing up McCain's military record with lies and accuations. I say, leave it alone. He served his country... PERIOD!

What isn't played enough is how this serial adulterer caused the fire on the USS Forrestal, killing 132 sailors. Some hero.

I think compared to what McCain went through (more than five years in a non Geneva Conference) pow camp to what Senator Scarey the swift boat supreme commander went through in three months of Nam home movie making, I think Senator McCain underplays his experience.
The only people who would say he overplays it are one's who are most likely going to vote for a candidate who has little experience except for his period of string pulling in Crook county.

It's like Joe Biden's comment about Rudy Giuliani. When John McCain talks about his credentials to be Commander in Chief, all we get is a noun, a verb, and "I was a POW and liverd in a !@#$ hole for 5 1/2 years."

He was a POW, for God sake. He did for us... God bless him.

I DO THINK HE RELIES ON THE POW TIME FOR SYPHONY BUT IF YOU REALLY KNOW THE REAL MCCAIN YOU WOULN'T FEEL SORRY FOR HIM BECAUSE OF HIS LEAVING AND CHEATING ON HIS FIRST INVALID WIFE HIS DEALINGS WITH THE KEATING SCANDAL HIS TEMPER AND ETC.

Just another attempt by the labial media to push Obama up by pushing McCain down.

McCain has played the POW card each and every time he stuck his foot in his mouth, which is weekly if not daily. I think the guy is lucky he can remember his name from day to day. He better pick Lieberman as his VP so he has someone to whisper in his ear just what the hell is going on in the world. Senile, a Lyer, Vile Tempered, and his finger on the nuclear trigger. SCARES THE HELL OUT OF ME!

I'm a lifelong Republican. I cannot and wilol support the republican ticket this year due to all the lies and false statements.Mrt McCain and others of my party seem to think that he is entitled to the President. His life as a POW is certainly no more aweful than people living on the streets homeless and disenfranchised. Give it a break Mr McCain. grow up!! I a white republican and "you have lost my vote."
You have also lost the votew of so many others as well.
