This morning, inside the security perimeter cordoning off the Pepsi center section of Denver, I came across a garish bus parked in the press areas.

Called the Bush Legacy Tour, this traveling exhibit is sponsored by Americans United For Change and, among other usual suspects, MoveOn.org. Move on? I guess they missed the memo, but Bush is a lame duck not up for election this year. Still, I can't say I found even mild surprise in seeing such an overblown attack on President Bush while deep in Democrat land. Bush is barely a name in such company anymore, it's invective.

I took a grand tour of the Bash Bus. It is rife with typical left-wing echo chamber fare: A gas price calculator, dramatic testimonials, photographs of Vietnam and 1930s soup lines. Bush hates Science. Bush hates families. Bush hates the economy. Bush kills troops. Bush Causes Hurricanes. You know, sort of like the convention speeches from last night, only with glossy photos and the exploitation of a dead American soldier's personal effects.
The Bash Bus has been to 25 cities so far, and they plan to keep on going. There's no telling when they'll decide to Move On. I'm not sure why they were parked inside the perimeter at the DNC Convention ... oh wait.
I find such outlandish maneuvers on the left to be a mysterious phenomenon. It's as if the organizers are completely un-self-aware. The word propaganda fairly jumps at you. A giant rolling, multi-media hate-fest? Seriously?!
The organizers say they're vistiing the RNC Convention next week. I expect they'll find an even warmer reception there. After all, nothing gets thousands of Democrat activists and Bush-haters in one place like the opportunity to try and silence Republicans. Whether that silencing be through intimidation, interference, or big, glossy, rolling propaganda machines.
