If this had been Republicans on the plane, it would be all over the news networks, ad nauseum. But I doubt we'll hear anything about it, except here.

Sarah Palin may be one of the smartest tactical moves made by the McCain Campaign, and the Democrats should be very careful in their line of attack against her. Depending on how she is defined at the Republican Convention she could be a game changer.

Barack Obama is underperforming among female voters in the key states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Wisconsin in our polling. In these states he is only leading John McCain by 2% to 3% among females, where traditionally there has been a double digit lead for Democrats. If Palin can help keep these voters in play and then energize base Republican voters, these states have the potential to flip.

The Obama line of attack against Palin may further alienate voters in these states. By attacking her as being a Mayor of a small town of 9,000, the Democrats open themselves up to charges of elitism and revive the "bitter" comments.... Remember there are numerous small towns of 9,000, or even less, in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

Finally, by attacking Palin as being inexperienced the Obama Campaign may actually help bolster McCain's own arguments of inexperience against Obama.

I didn't hear the same outrage from you when the fake Christian was praying for rain to ruin the Democratic convention on Thursday.

My God has a wicked sense of humor. All true christians are aware, be careful what you pray for, you just might get it. His prayer backfired because he wasn't specific enough. He's going to get the rain he prayed for but by God's clock and not his.

It appears Bush has assisted Jindle this time in evacuating the residents. Therefore, we can only pray that no more lives be taken in this storm.

I have intended to compliment you for weeks now. You are the only consistent non democrat that I have witnessed on the sites. You haven't asked anyone to vote for John McCain. You are a staunch Ron Paul supporter. I have heard no others claim to be voting for Bob Barr, Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKenny, etc. It's all been McCain whether they claim to be democrat or republican.

I would very much have to suggest to those folk who really believe in God that all of these occured together. So while the scientist will call it synchronicity, one could say they are the wrath of God. Actually God won't make it happen, but he will tell you about it if you know how to listen.

As far as those who say they believe in god but don't, because they never experienced god, what you see happening is the kind of experience that can transcend our mundane reality and show you all there is. Then you will not have to believe you will know. Think of all of it as a metaphor, everything is just a metaphor, then it falls together.

And then synchronicity will show you the way.

And those who cannot believe in god---

It's just an accident, a coincidence. It just happens that way. That what goes around comes around.

Hoping for the Republicans to have to cancel their convention is one thing. But to not give a shit if several thousand people will be subject to a natural disaster? Obviously they came away from THEIR convention filled with the love and unity unique to Democrats.

The Obama campaign does not intend to attack Palin.
It's beneath them to do so. Biden will be required to debate her. They are a wise bunch. Biden and Obama will come up with a strategy of debate without seeming to be bashing her. If I was Biden, I would use McCain's name in any hard attacks.

I think it's the moderators she should be concerned about. After all, neither VP candidate should have the questions in advance, as McCain did in the Saddleback debates.

Have any of you read the US Constitution?

Sarah Palin DOES have the qualifications to become President (if need be) b/c the US Constitution states that the only requirements (for anyone) to become President are: a. US natural born citizen b. 35 years of age.

Take note: examples here of [limited] political experience BEFORE becoming president.

Abraham Lincoln - 4 terms State legislator; US House of Reps. (2yrs)
Jimmy Carter - 2 terms State legislator; 1 term Governor (4 yrs)
Franklin Roosevelt - 1 term State legislator; 1 term Governor (4 yrs)
Bush Jr. - 1.5 terms Governor (6 yrs) --look what that got us!

Now take note:

Sarah Palin - City Coucil member (4yrs); Mayor (6 yrs); Chair AK Oil & Gas Conservation Comm. (1 yr); Governor - almost 2 yrs (since 12/2006).

So, how does she have any more "lack of experience" than those mentioned above? They all became prez, didn't they?
