ANCHORAGE, Alaska -Sarah Palin isn't the only member of her former administration planning a book. The Anchorage Daily News reports that Frank Bailey, a close aide to the former Alaska governor, is...
"First of all Palin has more experience than Obama with his 2 years out of 4 in the Senate out on the campaign trail. His experience abroad comes from an orchestated photo op trip to the Middle East 2 MONTHS AGO. Talk about transparancy! And in the last place, Palin isn't running for President. By the time McCain dies, Sara will have more experience than she needs to run this great land. I believe she is another Maggie Thacher in the making. THIS WAS A BRILLIANT CHOICE BY MCCAIN. Shows he knows how to run a campaign AND a country.

I just happened on this while opening my mail, but I must say that when you look at the map and see, from a very small sample, but still, when you see the states involved, the ones in red are key.
There must be AT LEAST a hundred or more electoral votes in the red states on this map. WOW! If this were a vote on whether Palin were qualified, it would mean--actually I think it does mean--a landslide for Obama after this choice. She really has almost no experience. A soccer mom cannot go up against people like Putin. I know. We worked against the KGB. He is one tough cookie and he would eat her alive.
So I think this choice was made for political reasons and I don't think it fooled anybody. McCain could have chosen Senator Hutchinson, a sharp cookie, from Texas, or Senator Collins from Maine, very respected in the Senate, or Senator Dole...a brilliant woman, if not my cup of tea. But he picked someone who is a super Right Winger, fundamentalist Christian, Creationist, blah-blah...all the stuff that the freaky Right Wing Christians living in the 19th Century want in a candidate. So silly.
Good news is that it looks like the majority of informed Americans, where the votes are--are not fooled.

Palin has more experience than Obama having been in many branchs of the State of Alaska's government for many years. She also has had some "foreign affairs" experience having dealt w/the Russians over fishing rights.

It is amazing to me how all of the Obama kool-aid drinkers still "don't get it". They continue to say the same thing..McCain..More of the Same" however they never can say what changes their canddate will do. COuld it be that Obama has nothing to offer. Lets talk about Judgement
1) He stated that he was against the war, how it was bad judgement to go into the war..yuest he chooses a man who not only voted for the war, but let the effort to get into the war.
Now lets examine that vote. Biden was. and still is the chairman of the Foreign relation committee, It seems to me that his vote was a well informed vote, he had access to data dating back to Jimmy Carter's administration. So he made a sound Judgement to vote for President Bush. So is Biden a misinformed Senator who did'nt do his homework before he made the decision to vote with President Bush, or made the decision based on his years of experience. I think he made the best choice.
Where does that but Obama. It either makes him look like a hiprocrat to pick some one who lacks Judgement in his opinion, or does it makes him look like an inexperienced person who makes only emotional political decisions void of facts and data. I vote for the latter.
2) he states that Washington is "Broken" and how John McCain has been in Washington for almost 30 years, yet he chose a person who has been in COngress almost 40 years. Again, It looks like Obama is a hiprocrat, who says one thing, but does another. Now this is a man who's political platform is based on these 2 points to showcase his Judgement, but has a running mate who is the exact opposite.
Have you ever seen or heard of a candidate who has absolutely "0" zero accomplishments. Obama has not said not one time anything he has done that demonstrates any type of leadership. Not one time. As Hillary said, She and McCain have lifetime experience, all Obama has is a speech" Even his own running mate stands by his staement that Obama has "zero" experience.
At least if McCain Drops dead, we have a VP who at least made some decisions. Obama you cannot not vote "Present" when you are in the White House. This is not a calss room.
One last thing. Obama states that MCain is in the hip pocket of Major Oil Companies, well it was he who voted to give Oil Companies the tax breaks that they are enjoying today, yes for all you Obama koolaid drinkers. He voted for it in 2005. I guess that is why he votes present, instead of yes or no, because he is afraid of his own Judgement.
The thoughts of one Black man who is a Pro PResident Bush, and a Pro McCain..More of the Same in 2008..Yes we Can, be cause 8 is not enough

The difference is that the vp is not the president and it is the president that needs the experience. In the past how many vp's have in up running the country you can most likely count on one hand.
We need someone to be experience in the top spot the second spot.

Sarah Palin has way more experience than Obama. In 1992 she was running for mayor. What was Obama doing?? Who knows. Obama only has 2 and 1/2 years in the Senate to his name and for the past 2 years, he's been out on the campaign trail. Obviously, not in the senate gaining experience. What has sarah Palin been doing? Being a governor. and as a governor she is in charge of a "microcosm" of what it is like the run a country. That sounds like plenty of experience to me.

I agree completely, Ilene. Palin was the perfect choice. The experience agruement is just a desperate vengeance tactic of the Obama campaign. McCain is at the top of the ticket, and he has a tremendous amount of experience. Obama's at the top of his with none.

Palin DOES NOT have more experience than Obama. Obama has been serving in the Senate for LONGER than Palin has been serving as governor. AND prior to that, Palin was the mayor of a petty little town with a population under 9,000 people. Anyone that fails NOT to see this is evidently NOT in they're right state of mind. The republican party is so good at brainwashing americans. McCain OBVIOUSLY chose Palin because he wants to try and snatch up the soar loser supporters of Hillary. AGAIN, anyone that does not realize that is pathetic. How can anyone be so oblivious to all of this, because John McCain did not even know Palin well before he chose her! He only met her in person once, and talked to her on the phone briefly before he announced her as his running mate. OBAMA had his VP possibilities with him a lot, and they even traveled with him to Europe, Iraq, etc. WAKE UP AMERICA, stop listening to what they tell you and use the brain that God gave you and see the whole picture!!!

Palin has already demonstrated her ability and addressed "Change" she has set new goals and set the tone for new ways of how Political Leaders need to act and conduct business differently and take on responsibility. Obama has the nerve to call the kettle black but yet he doesn't have to any further than his own behind, Obama you haven't shown any sign of "Change" what so ever with your V.P. choice.
Should something happen to McCain there is no reason why a President Palin could not make an old Biden type her VP. The problem here is comparing the DEM Candidate who would be President on Day One vs the GOP Vice President Candidate. Sarah Palin is a self made woman unlike Hillary.

What does she know about diversity? How many hispanics and blacks are in Alaska? (who arent military). Knowing how to deal in eskimo land is a LOT different than the rest of the country. This is ridiculous.

There will be a landslide, but for McCain for sure! Obama is showing his lack of understanding, lack of knowledge of real life and the new VP Palin has all the life experience that Obama does NOT have! Kids, life in general, hunting, fishing, she has life's experience that the pampered Obama does not. She does know when to come into the house when it rains, Obama stands out wondering what is going on, he is a nut! Biden is a bum from the word GO as well.

McCain's choice is insulting to women. There are plenty of qualified women currently in congress. If it was so important to him to have a women on the Republican Ticket He should have choosen one with much more experience.

While Palin was an elected official Obama was a " community organizer" whatever that means. In my town the community organizer manages teens who volunteer to pick up trash on the roadside.
