Susan -- Obama's drug use has been common knowledge for years. He wrote about it in his book. The story of Rezco's "helping" Obama buy a house is innuendo. Do a little research (and reading Corsi's book is not research). The story of Palin's daughter came out on Labor Day. 2 days ago. This will run it's course, too.

It's no double standard. By choosing Palin, one has to wonder about McCain's decision process. By accepting the nomination, Palin has thrust her pregnant 17 year old daughter onto the national stage. Again,one has to wonder about her judgment. The number one priority of a parent is to protect their child, and Palin isn't doing that here!

Go ahead, rig the AOL poll to show an unrealistic lead for McCain/Palin but the truth is Obama is going to win. At least we on the Democratic side will remember that our president is the president of all US citizens unlike the past 8 years where we were treated as second class citizens.

Thank you hollowdog, tiffany, and JEJELOVE... I thought it was only me. There is some serious hate on each one of these polls and comments. I mean blatant hate. I don't what it stems from. Is it race? Is it where Obama is from? Is it Chicago?

Maybe it's because he is a family man who shunned the system and decided to fight for the little man. How dare this smart guy who could have done anything on Wall Street take to the streets of South Chicago? How dare he tell the truth about his drug use back in the day? Isnt he supposed to leave something for us to dog him on?

Dear Americans,

As I said in my username I am a Foreigner by birth and an American by heart. Let me tell a little bit about me and my views and then you guys can write me back. Yes I want to have with you an adult polite conversation.
I have been in USA for 10 years (yes legally), college graduate, married to a US Citizen with 2 kids. In my opinion Americans can be described as honest, peaceful, family/morals oriented people. I can see this in my spouse and in his family. I think like my spouse, Americans do not feel comfortable with radical’s positions, either from Republicans or Democrats. I believe the most accomplished presidents were the ones who were middle of the road guys, like Reagan and Clinton. I think common sense has worked and helped US become this outstanding nation. That’s why I was excited about America and decided to come here to study this wonderful culture.
A few years ago I became US Citizen and this will be my first election, I think the day I cast my vote for President for the first time I will probably cry of joy and pride. Most of all, I had told myself I was a Democrat who would never vote for the Republicans because of Bush. At this point he got what he deserved, low ratings ever and going down to history books as probably one of the most incompetent presidents. I closed my chapter on Bush and moved on.
But then came this election, my first choice was Hillary, not because she was a woman, I just thought she had more experience and guts than the rest of the democrats candidates, she was not perfect and we disagreed in some issues. I am not looking for the perfect candidate anyway, looking and believing one will find the perfect candidate will only bring disappointment and drive one away from the important issues. The candidates:
Obama is a fine young and intelligent man, the second best African American candidate ever, the first was of course, Collin Powel (a middle of the road man, my hero who was used as scapegoat by Bush/Cheney). I just think he is not ready, I would vote for him in a heart bit if he was the VP, then in a few years if they had done a good job I would vote again for him to become president. What I do not like it’s who he represents and the party leaders behind him(Dean like Bush the most incompetent Democrat Party leader, Pelosy working behind the scenes and doing all the dirty job, making sure she is the only powerful woman in the party). The liberal and bias media telling us what to do, hiding facts. PBS is the best thing ever, they report the facts good or not, and let the viewers decide for themselves.
Then McCain, not a perfect guy, but someone who has victories and failures in life (two good things to build a character), I knew he was a POW but listening last night what this man endured, my gosh, how can we (mainly you guys, American by birth) not honor this man. He is not Bush 3rd term; we know that, Democrats know that, subject out, next please. His choice for VP, Mrs. Palin, is an unknown person for most of us, she is ? mark, just like Obama, we just do not know what is going to happen in either case so I think one annuls the other. Experience subject out too, next please. What is really getting me upset it’s what the media is doing to her teenager pregnant daughter. The girl is pregnant so what, this is a family business, it can happen to any of our daughters/sisters, whether the girl has a stay at home or working mom. Obama said he was not touching the subject and then give Pelosi the OK to send death squad to go to Alaska to investigate Palin, the girl and the boyfriend and his family. If you want to reply to my comments, I would love to hear from you, but please in an adult manner, even if you disagree, name calling is not going to get us anywhere.

The left has nothing to run on in this campaign except hope & hatred. They feel they were wronged in the last 2 elections and now everything is going to be great with the annointed one, the Messiah, BHO, in the White House. I say, give 'em what they want. Their grossly inflated self importance (especially at MSNBC, CNN, and the NYT) is sad for the profession, but comical!

Think that the Democrats have sadly called attention to their elected members -- who should know better! Among those who have set pathetic examples for the youth of America are former Gov Spitzer (NY); former Gov McGreevey (NJ); current Mayor of Detroit Kilpatrick (and that mess is still on going); Senator Edwards; Mayor Gavin Newsom of San Francisco; Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa of Los Angles; and of course, Bill Clinton. Some of these clowns are still in office!

As a writer pointed out recently, “Interesting that when John Edwards’s and Jesse Jackson’s ‘troubles’ came to light, nobody asked whether they were employing proper birth-control techniques, and, if not, why not. Those questions are reserved for the daughters of female candidates” — for the teenage daughters of female conservative candidates, I might add. Hope the media sees what fools they are making of themselves, and the credibility they lose each time their own biases and prejudices take over their souls.
