there is no bias and it's not fair for people to say so considering everything the media kept talking about when it came to obama(i.e. his pastor and him not being patriotic). the media is simply stating the facts and i guess now people want to say it is unfair b/c she is a women. i suppose they should go easy on a women(and i am a women), but if that's the case shouldn't they go easy on a black man seeing as how they are both at a disadvantage not being a white male?

The media has picked Obama I HOPE people will pick their own president not the medias president. Why does the media rip apart McCain and Palin who have actually said what they want to change, but praise Obama who only uses the word change.

ASKING IF THE MEDIA HAS BEEN "BIAS" TOWARDS GOV. PALIN IS LIKE ASKING IF IT SUNSHINES IN HAWAII. OR, BETTER YET, IS THERE ICE IN ALASKA? FINALLY, HAS THE MEDIA BEEN "BIAS" TOWARDS SEN. CLINTON? OF COURSE, THE ANSWER FROM THE SUPERCILIOUS OBAMA CAMP WOULD BE NO. HOWEVER, NONOBAMA PEOPLE WOULD RESPOND WITH A RESOUNDING YES.

Mrs Palin like many new age mothers has evidently run away from home. She needs to meet the needs of her family instead of compensating for her insecurities by running for public office. She can hardly know the plight of a mother of an unwed pregnant teen or a handicapped child when she is not home facing problems as a proactive partner in a marriage.
Even my 78 yr old mother who was always republican has changed sides after the mess the repub;icans have made and continue to make in Washington. I might add that she was involved in politics and lobbyist groups. When Palin was chosen ,moms comment was "Well ,now the Democrats will win for sure.

Hey Keyonnam, O'bama actually believes based on his own statements that "Old Glory", that is the red, white and blue for those who are unfamiliar with the term was the flag of "oppression". Now, true it is a right of every American to make statements as ludicrous and erroneous as this because of the 1st Amendment. It is also my right to state that any American who can make such a statement has unwittingly or wittingly forfeited there chance to hold the high office of the American Presidency. I would believe that even if I did not have a beloved son (20 years old) serving in the United States Navy in Asia. Obama seems to see everything through a reverve/racism filter. His wife is even worse. Doesn't the fact that his life-long mentor, Frank Davis Marshall was a Marxist/Communist shed some light on his underlying ideology? To quote (paraphrase) the disingenuous shoat Michael Moore: "The 2008 American Presidential Election will historically be the easiest win for a Democratic candidate",it seems that the way to win an election is actually not to give reason for hope and opportunity, but rather harp on what a terrible country America is currently. Denigrate our nation and people will somehow come along side. There is nothing remotely Presidential or honorable about that. As Abraham Lincoln (Republican)said, "This republic, The United States of America is still the world's greatest source of hope". That was during the Civil War...

Thomas

The word CHANGE is the big topic this campaign. McCain and Palin wants Americans more dependent on oil by drilling in Alaska and continue giving tax breaks for large business owners and have the middle class pay the difference. They also say fire the bad teachers and give them a new job. Is McCain going to hire them? If not where does he think these teachers are going to get a job? Maybe Wal Mart, Or McDonalds at min wage that helps the business man to get richer? Is this statement for real? Obama and Biden wants new energy source that will help us bring us more independent from the use of oil and this will create thousands of new professional jobs even for those bad teachers and bring back inventors that the government will honor, not shutting them up and casting them away and lock up their idea of innovations. During WWII America advance into the future over night. Thank you FDR. If McCain become president then we will endure another 4 years in standstill mode and more of the war thing. If Obama become president then he will bring America forward into technology that will free us all from oil dependency. Do not get me wrong about McCain. He is a hero and I do thank him and honor him. God bless him and his family, but we are in the 21st century and America needs to go forward. That’s why Obama is the better candidate for presidency. I do not expect a business man to agree with me.

I think the media has been fair to Gov.Palin. The citizens of this country should be enlightened about all the candidates and their families. I think she is getting a free ride on the investigation regarding the termination of her brother-in-laws supervisor. I rate her gov. experience as fair.

The left and even farther left are the most two faced people I have ever met. They will stop at nothing to slander conservatives. Their candidate is scary and can't be trusted. His ideology is truly frightening and his agenda will send our economy into a nose dive like we have never seen. I want change but not his change because there is good change and bad, and I think you know what road the OB ticket is taking.

One of the posters (LORI) made an extremely disparaging comment about another poster(Anderson). I said SHE sounded like an idiot in making a comment like that, yet my post gets deleted and her stupid and degrading post remains. I wonder what thought process is involved in that decision

yes! And it is not just because she is a woman. It is also because she is more experienced than obama by a mile. To compare obama and his relations to his pastor and other corrupt people with the fact that sarah palin's daughter is pregnant is completely a reach. Palin has done nothing wrong, unlike obama. The magazine and news coverage has been disgraceful. Like many have said, fair journalism is dead! And to put this back into a race situation as ms. mitchell did is ridiculous. Obama is not at a disadvantage. People need to get off their high horse and stop hiding behind the "we're disadvantaged" mirror. Suck it up and quit playing the victim. There is no disadvantage here, not to mention obama is half white! So yes, the media has been unfair for the simple fact that most newspapers and magazines are run by angry smearing liberals. And I am frankly sick of it!

NO FRIGGEN WAY has the main stream media been unfair!
The McCain campaign gives the American pubic less than seventy days until we have to decide whether or not to vote for a candidate for Vice President of the UNITED STATES that 99% of us knew ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about 10 days ago.
Picking this unknown person has naturally caused a firestorm of anxiety, interest, questions, and confusion.
It is just flat-out political BS for the McCain campaign to complain she's being unfairly picked on.
What IS unfair to the American public is for McCain to drop this "bombshell", out of no-where, on the American public and force us to decide whether or not to endorse her -- 60 days from today.
Now it appears like the McCain campaign is going to keep her away from the media for at least two weeks which would leave us with 45 days until the election.
The media still has a lot of work to do and we better get out of their way and let them do their jobs -- there's not alot of time left.

Democrats are so Lucky!!!! Liberals make such wonderful pets. Reason #1 - They don't bite the hand that fed them for over 40 years. #2- They know how to go on welfare papers .#3- They know how to sit and beg.#4- They know what go vote means. #5- They know who their masters are. #6 They Are happy just laying around all day. So now let me ask you this. ARE YOU LIBS BETTER OFF THEN YOU WERE 40 YEARS AGO ????

I don't think any true American could vote for Obama. In his video on Google he states he wants to cut off funding for the war in Iraq, stop the missile program, completely disarm our country, downsize the military, and leave us completely defenseless. Who is he doing this for? Certainly not for our country. America is great because we have been strong. The next thing he has is trying to redistribute the wealth of those that have worked and been successful to those that have not done either. That is Communism. It don't work! Punishing people for success is ludicrous. Socialized medicine is another example of failed policies in some countries. I don't want the government standing between me and medical care. Look at Canada for this example. That is why those people keep coming to our country for treatment. Like Fred Thompson said in his speech, "I am only going to draw water out of your side of the bucket". That is what this "community organizer" is proposing. Have you ever worked for a poor man? When you hit business with increases in taxes all they do is pass it on to the consumer. Or else, cause people to lose their jobs. This mortgage crisis has been caused by crooks in the industry granting mortgages to people that could not afford a pup tent. They had no business trying to buy a home. Especially one to try and keep up with the "Jones". John McCain has flaws, but he is dedicated to America and has given his entire life to the service of our country. He has suffered more than any person on Earth. These fools that put him and our country down don't know what they are talking about.
