Whichever.Politico reports today that Sarah Palin had a tanning bed installed in the Alaska Governor's mansion shortly after she took up residence in 2007.
Good news: It was used and she paid for it herself.
Bad news: The American Cancer society says:
Skin cancer is the most common of all cancer types. There are more than 1 million skin cancers (melanoma and non-melanoma) diagnosed each year in the United States. That's more than prostate, breast, lung, colon, uterus, ovary and pancreas cancers combined. Unfortunately, the number of skin cancers has been on the rise steadily for the past 30 years...(h/t Al Giordano)
Avoid tanning beds and sunlamps.
Many people believe that the UV rays of tanning beds are harmless. This is not true. Tanning lamps give out UV rays. Health experts advise people to avoid sunlamps and tanning beds.
I wonder how John McCain feels about it.
In May of 2007, Governor Palin declared May "Skin Cancer Awareness Month".

You like talking about cancer. How about a story about how cancer is so often hereditary. Obama's mother died of cancer when she was only in her early 50's. That doesn't bode well, does it?

I guess if I lived in Alaska I'd be tanning alot too. There isn't much sun there in the winter, and it would get pretty depressing, what with "seasonal affective disorder" and all. What will be MORE depressing though is what will happen if Palin and McCain win on November 4th. I think Americans need to wake up and vote for the party that represents the CHANGE WE NEED in this country. Obama and Biden are the party that will help this country through these hard times. Send Sarah packing back to Alaska on November 4th. Our country will be the laughingstock of the world if we elect the Republicans AGAIN. God, with things this bad, and only getting worse, why would anyone think seriously about electing them another time.
