The C.R.U.D. is proud to announce the creation, today, of a sister organization, the Center for Republicans Against Politicians (C.R.A.P.)

This new organization will join the C.R.U.D. in fighting the insiders in Washington and the liberal media. The inauguration ceremony today was blessed with the presence of luminaries Karl Rove and Ann Coulter.

From unconfirmed sources we learned that Karl Rove would have said "When you put together C.R.U.D. and C.R.A.P., you get quite something!"

The C.R.U.D. will publish more details as they become available.

To ZO - Obama's campaign plane has the "rising sun" on the tail. I'm not sure what exactely the Rising Sun is a symbol of but Obama had the American flag removed from the tail and put this Rising Sun logo in it's place. There is a picture of Obama's campaign plane on the following site:

Obama's newly designed campaign plane features the campaign's logo on the tail. However, an image of the U.S. flag appears on the side of the plane.

On July 20, before Sen. Barack Obama took off on a week-long overseas tour that included stops in the Middle East and Europe, his campaign unveiled a newly designed Boeing 757 plane that the Illinois senator, members of his campaign staff, secret service and members of the press corps will use for the remainder of his campaign. The plane features first class, business and coach seating, with new carpet and leather chairs and a brand new paint job of the exterior.

Prior to the redesign, Obama had used a number of planes for his traveling needs, but the plane in question was one he has chartered from North American Airlines since late March. The design of that plane had featured two images of the American flag: a small wavy flag that was displayed on the side of the aircraft and a much larger image of the flag that appeared on the plane's tail. According to NAA's director of corporate communications, Steve Forsyth, both images are typical of North American Airline planes. "The flag design is used on the tails of all North American aircraft (Boeing 757s and 767s) and is in the corporate logo," said Forsyth. However, neither image is a part of the Obama campaign's new plane design.

Obama's freshly painted plane features his campaign slogan, "Change We Can Believe In," and his Web site name on the side, and the campaign's sunrise "O" symbol on the tail, instead of the American flag. However, an image of the flag does appear on the body of the plane with its tail number.

When asked about the plane's new look sans the flag on the tail, Obama campaign spokesman Tommy Vietor said, "I'd note that there is a flag on the side of Senator Obama's plane, near the center. I'd also note that there is not a flag on the tail of John McCain's plane. Lastly, I'd note that I don't think plane design should lead us to question the patriotism of either candidate."

It is probably worth mentioning that Sen. John McCain's campaign Boeing 737 plane does not feature a U.S. flag on its tail either. . . . it does feature one on the side of the plane near the campaign's slogan, "Reform. Prosperity. Peace."

When you watch TV, the Republicans refer to some obscure bill that the Democrats managed to champion through the congress years ago to explain what has happened to our economy.
Balony. If there was a bad bill passed under the Clinton administration, the Republicans had six years since then when they had control of the government and could get rid of it.
The Republicans have run the country on the premise that you give the money to the fat cats and let them do whatever they want. They will make jobs and the middle class will prosper.
Doesn't work. It just takes from the poor to give to the rich, the poor get more desperate, and the rich can do pretty much anything. Ya gotta feed your kids, even if every contract gets worse.
The ecomonic crisis is a wake up call for the rich folks. Many it will get through to the Republicans that you can't keep milking the cow unless you feed it.

OBAMA HAS BASED HIS ENTIRE CAMPAIGN ON LIES. HE HAS TOO MANY TIES TO TERRORISTS AND ANTI-AMERICANS.

For the past 2 years, the Democratic leadership, including Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama has pulled all sorts of strings to make the American people believe that the economy was collapsing.

THEY HAVE NOT PASSED UP ANY OPPORTUNITY TO “HURT” THE ECONOMY IN ORDER TO MAKE THEIR POINT. THEY'LL DO ANYTHING TO GET WHAT THEY WANT.

Refusing to take common sense steps to keep oil and gasoline prices low is just one thing the Democratically-controlled Congress has done to hurt the economy.

We are now sending several billion dollars each and every day overseas. Our money is employing foreign workers to drill, pump, refine, and transport oil, instead of employing American workers to do those same jobs.

Who in their right mind would question the impact this currency drain is having? Higher gas prices make it more difficult to meet one’s home mortgage payments. And defaulting on Mortgages in part has brought on the current crisis. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lobbyists contributed mightily to the Dems. Obama was the #2 recipient of these contributions! The CEO's and top officers walked away with millions.

So should some of the fault of our current Wall Street Crisis be laid at the feet of PELOSI, REID, OBAMA, and their other liberal Democratic friends?

WITHOUT A DOUBT IT SHOULD! WE NEED TO REPLACE ALL DO-NOTHING DEMS IN CONGRESS!

Blocking Care for Women

LAST month, the Bush administration launched the latest salvo in its eight-year campaign to undermine women’s rights and women’s health by placing ideology ahead of science: a proposed rule from the Department of Health and Human Services that would govern family planning. It would require that any health care entity that receives federal financing — whether it’s a physician in private practice, a hospital or a state government — certify in writing that none of its employees are required to assist in any way with medical services they find objectionable.

Laws that have been on the books for some 30 years already allow doctors to refuse to perform abortions. The new rule would go further, ensuring that all employees and volunteers for health care entities can refuse to aid in providing any treatment they object to, which could include not only abortion and sterilization but also contraception.

Health and Human Services estimates that the rule, which would affect nearly 600,000 hospitals, clinics and other health care providers, would cost $44.5 million a year to administer. Astonishingly, the department does not even address the real cost to patients who might be refused access to these critical services. Women patients, who look to their health care providers as an unbiased source of medical information, might not even know they were being deprived of advice about their options or denied access to care.

The definition of abortion in the proposed rule is left open to interpretation. An earlier draft included a medically inaccurate definition that included commonly prescribed forms of contraception like birth control pills, IUD’s and emergency contraception. That language has been removed, but because the current version includes no definition at all, individual health care providers could decide on their own that birth control is the same as abortion.

The rule would also allow providers to refuse to participate in unspecified “other medical procedures” that contradict their religious beliefs or moral convictions. This, too, could be interpreted as a free pass to deny access to contraception.

Many circumstances unrelated to reproductive health could also fall under the umbrella of “other medical procedures.” Could physicians object to helping patients whose sexual orientation they find objectionable? Could a receptionist refuse to book an appointment for an H.I.V. test? What about an emergency room doctor who wishes to deny emergency contraception to a rape victim? Or a pharmacist who prefers not to refill a birth control prescription?

The Bush administration argues that the rule is designed to protect a provider’s conscience. But where are the protections for patients?

The 30-day comment period on the proposed rule runs until Sept. 25. Everyone who believes that women should have full access to medical care should make their voices heard. Basic, quality care for millions of women is at stake.

The Unemployment rate was 4.5% in Dec 2006.. It's now over 5.5%.

The consumer price index for all food inceased went from 4.8% from Jan 2007 to Feb 2008.

American households have seen $2.5 trillion inequity investment values evaporate between Jan 2007 and May 2008.

Since Jan 2007, median home prices were down 22.6% for detached homes, and 20.6% for condos.

Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.4 TRILLION dollars since Jan 2007.

In Jan 2007 the Consumer Confidence Index was at 95.3 point. The Index now stands at 64.5

America voted for CHARGE in November of 2006, and we got it with the Democrat Congress.. Congress "NOT THE PRESIDENT" initiates all spending and tax legislation.

The Mortgage Crisis – Who is to Blame?

Democratic Senator, Chris Dodd, is Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee that regulates and oversees Fannie and Freddie. He is also the largest recipient of political donations from Fannie and Freddie, receiving over $140,000 from the two mortgage underwriters in ten years. The second largest recipient is Barack Obama, with over $126,000 in donations, who earned that designation is little more than three years. Obama also tapped former CEO of Fannie Mae, Jim Johnson, to head his VP search committee. Mr. Johnson was forced to resign as Fannie Mae’s CEO as the mortgage company began to collapse. Other former Democrats who ran Fannie Mae include Franklin Raines, who received over $50 million in compensation during his tenure at the helm, and Jamie Gorelick, who made over $26 million as CEO of the mortgage giant.

Alternatively, Sen. John McCain sponsored a bill in 2005 called the Federal Housing Regulatory Reform Act, which aimed to reform Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, and may have prevented the current mortgage meltdown. The Democrats, who used a filibuster to kill the bill, blocked the Federal Housing Reform Act.

The McCain convention bump seems to be subsiding, and the tracking polls suggest the national race is back almost dead even. Part of the recent movement may well be attributable to the financial crisis gripping Wall Street, and the fact that for not the first time, a sensible McCain statement on the economy is being distorted by Obama and his many media flacks as evidence that the Arizona Senator is out of touch.

The fundamentals of the US economy are strong, as McCain argued: 94% of workers are employed, inflation last month was 0.1% (the big drop in oil prices of over $55 a barrel helps, saving consumers between $20 and $30 billion each month), and GDP grew by over 3% last quarter. When Franklin Roosevelt took office and said the only thing we have to fear is fear itself,
he was applauded for his statesmanship and leadership.

A leader in a time of crisis tries to settle the ship and restore confidence. That is what John McCain is doing, but he gets no points for it.

One of the reasons the Obama campaign has been so flummoxed by Sarah Palin is that every day Palin is the story, which she has been for close to two weeks, is a day when the Obama campaign is off message.

The Times' pursuit of Palin resembles their feeble and failed four month attempt to tar John McCain earlier this year as having been an adulterer with a lobbyist. The John Edwards adultery story, which was real, was never of interest to the New York Times. Sinners can only be registered Republicans, and after all, Edwards only began his affair when his wife's cancer was in remission, demonstrating what a prince of a man he really is.

The best news for McCain is that he has opened a solid lead in Florida (27 Electoral College votes) of 5 points or more in every recent survey, and has built a modest lead in Ohio (20 Electoral College votes) of 3-4 points in every recent survey but one (Quinnipiac). Obama ran poorly in Ohio in its March primary, carrying only 5 of 88 counties and losing the state to Hillary Clinton by 10%, despite coming in with all the momentum and a huge financial advantage. Many registered Democrats in Ohio are not political liberals and share more cultural values with Sarah Palin than Barack Obama. The condescension the Obama campaign has demonstrated toward blue collar voters will not help it in Ohio come Election Day. It is telling that in one recent survey, 31% of Ohio voters said they best relate to Palin, about 20% each to McCain and Obama, and barely over 10% with Biden. If Ohio and Florida are McCain states (and Ohio is certainly not yet "done" for McCain, as Florida may be), there are few ways for Obama to reach 270 Electoral College votes.

Assuming Obama holds all the Kerry states, not nearly so certain anymore, Obama begins with a likely pickup of Iowa and its 7 Electoral College votes. He would then need 11 more. In the latest Rasmusssen surveys, Obama trails in Nevada (5), New Mexico (5), Colorado (9), and is even in Virginia (13). These are the four tossup states where his chances to turn a red state blue are the best. Admittedly, McCain's lead in the Western states is small -- 2 to 3 points in each case. For Obama to win, he will need to pick up Virginia, which has not gone Democratic since 1964, or Colorado and one of the smaller Western states to win. Colorado has been a reliable GOP state in recent years and Nevada has been in the McCain column pretty much all year.
