Or as my good friend, George Orwell, might say, "DoublePlusUnPresidential."
On ABC's "This Week," McCain got fricasseed real good by the panel, but conservative icon George Will kicked it up a notch by also noting that McCain "Once again substituted vehemence for coherence."
Sam Donaldson also threw in a "Bam!" of his own, saying ""It was two days after the he said the fundamentals of the economy were strong. His talking points have gotten all mixed up. And I think the question of age is back on the table."
Will finished the dish with this nice flambe´:"John McCain showed his personality this week, and made some of us fearful."
I think this says less about Will's perceptiveness, and more about the colossal nature of last week's debacles for John McCain. Sarah Palin may have been a game-changer, but this past week has reminded everyone that this isn't a game.
Tommy Christopher co-hosts "Unusable Signal",on BlogTalkRadio, every Tues and Thurs at 9pm, Wed, Fri, and Sat at 11pm. (Eastern) Click here for the Unusable Signal homepage.
Tommy Christopher must have missed the simple fact that the "Fundamentals" of the economy are strong, as echoed by Paulsen.
While it's obvious that the Democrats would like everyone to think we're in a Depression, the reality is that haven't even had one quater of recession.
The economy is growing, albeit slower.
If people want to create more jobs, increasing the corporate tax is the absolute worst thing to do. How does making US companies even less competitive globally help? And how many more jobs do you want to push overseas.
McCain's biggest flaw this past week is that he was slow to point out that he proposed regulation in 2006 over Freddie & Fannie, which was shot down by the Democrats. And that Obama is the 2nd biggest recipient of donations from Freddie & Fannie.

Tommie is cut of the same mold as Keith Olberman, MSNBC, the NY Times and all the other "in the tank" media. He has been bashing McCain/Palin incessantly since day 1. So...his creddibility, if he ever had any has long ago been compromised. All the more so when you think of all the slip-up's of the last few days made by "I'm every Woman, Obama, his wife, Biden and the DNC. Obama is an admitted former drug user, has a wafer-thin resume 2nd to that of Palin, is now playing the race card, now claim's he's "every woman," befriends known terrorists, frequented a hate-filled church/pastor, a superb BSer...and that's all there is! Tommy...just another cultist in the Obamaa cult.

Everybody knows that McCain preceded the "Fundamentally strong" statement with "Financial turmoil" enough with the out of context aspersions. What did Obama do with the $100 million of CAC money? His church got some of it ... where's the rest? It looks like Obama just another spoke in the corrupt Chicago political machine. It's even lower when you steal from kids!

McCain Un-Presidential By Tommy Christopher. If McCain is un-presidential then Obama is so far from presidential that Obama should just pull the plug and resign the race now. Obama couldn't mange a Kool Aid stand let alone the USA. Tommy is Jan your girlfriend? Tommy likes to invent things, like lies and new ways to torture insects. I'll say this, Tommy is good sport even though he looks like a Pig Man.

No, the fundamentals aren't strong. Paulsen was remaining calm, as he should, at a very, very serious time. Have you checked out what's happening around the world? These people aren't stupid. McCain DID seem a bit confused all last week.
Keeping the corporate tax cuts - which haven't done a lot for the economy - isn't too wise either.

Evidence for the fact that Obama 'couldn't manage a koo aid stand'? He's managed his campaign pretty well. Managed the Harvard Law Review pretty well. Etc.
There are people who are determined to spin and twist everything, lack understanding of the skills required of a GOOD President, diss Obama's accomplishments like the asses at the Republican Convention....and hey! it was the conservative George Will who said it. Or was that made up too?

I think Cindy McCain has to point John to the front door when he gets up in the morning. To many plane crashes.

TC- here's your muze pic for the day- on the song "Back To Nowhere" (1971) by Valerie Simpson, Moe D. declares that a mac daddy has been building a tin can bridge to nowhere that left her thinking how unconcerned about reality a songbird can be; and on "Bless You" (1971), Hilly tells Joe that she can't believe how songbirds classify "love" as being "strange"- hope that helps

The pundits have been pro Obama since Day One. They're just continuing the bias they demonstrated over and over during the Democratic primaries, so nothing they say should be taken seriously.

Time will prove that Bush was a great president. Long after the liberal media has pounced on some one new, history will reveal the truth. Media is pure propaganda with a one world anti American goal.

Jan why do you call everyone stupid are you a real smart girl or just a huge asshole. We had a girl like you in the Sorority and we finally locked her in the basement and fed her soap until she learned some ladylike manners and language. Jan the little children don't like you because you seem so bitchy. Actually, you do more for McCain than you think.

I don't agree with Will; the problem is that when McCain said "the fundamentals of the economy are strong," he was referring to such "fundamentals" as good workers, good resources, etc. Should McCain panic as did the Democrat and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who said, "No one knows what to do!"??
