Countdown dug up a video of witch-hunting
Bishop Thomas Muthee praying over GOP Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, but I think Olbermann is burying the lede here.
Setting aside the fact that Muthee seems to be engaged in some sort of Vulcan mind-meld with Palin, and the fact

that he is praying to God for money (I thought that was a no-no, but Caleb Howe informs me that I need to brush up on those regs, so I'll table that until he briefs me). What interests me is this incantation from Muthee:
"Every form of witchcraft, is what we rebuke in the name of Jesus."
Now, there are a number of ways to interpret this. It could be that he is trying to cast the witchcraft out of Palin. The odd phrasing, "Every form of witchcraft..." might lead you to believe that Palin has been through this before, but found some sort of loophole that Muthee is now closing. Like, it doesn't count as witchcraft if you do it in Vegas.
Further buttressing this interpretation is the fact that Palin's supporters
freely admit that "Troopergate" is actually a witch hunt, and they want it stopped.
Finally, our own
Justin Paulette reported, earlier in this election, that witches had
predicted a general election match-up of Hillary Clinton and Wesley Clark vs. Rudy Giuliani and Mike Huckabee. This was obvious misdirection, to keep Palin's cover.
Of course, Muthee might have been trying to confer some sort of protection from witchcraft over Palin, but then, why not just ask? Why be direct about piles of cash, but then get cute when it comes to warding off pure evil?
Finally, there is the possibility that Muthee is, himself, a witch. The quote sounds a little defensive, and it would explain his witch-hunting ways.
Personally, I don't believe that Sarah Palin is a witch, but that's because I don't believe in witchcraft. One thing that this video definitely proves is that Sarah Palin does believe in witchcraft. Now that's a historic candidacy.
