I thought it was very disrespectful and arrogant of Senator Obama to refer to Senator McCain as "John". Senator McCain respectfully referred to Senator Obama as "Senator Obama".

this debate has put things in perspective as to who should be commander and chief of this country. Obama seem to have what this country need as a president. Mcain would be the person who could be the military leader. But that attitude shouldn't be our commander and chief. that is because his answer is to destroy and Obama has the country's need first and foremost. Mcain was very combative and stubborn. He has shown that it will be his way and i don't see where his cabinet will serve a purpose. our leader have to be openminded. and willing to to listen to hear all options and make the best decision. Macain seems to be the one to decide what he wants and ignore all advisors. That is the same as president bush and he has shown that attitude doesn't support what the country need.

Oh come on, Rick, did you also find Gov. Palin's referring to Charles Gibson over and over again, as Charlie, during their interview last week, equally disrespectful? These senators all know each other personally, so why pretend a formality that doesn't exist, in real life? McCain is so full of it, most of the time...I live in Arizona, and this guy is not who he pretends to be on the national stage.

mcain had no real topic on this debate..it was all about him and deminishing obama. obama is the one that knows and can comprehend whats really going on in the u.s. mcain has blinders on and can only see what he wants with all the other republicans.

Senator Obama and Senator McCain is at the same level so proper manners state that first names can be used. Senator Macain has accused Senator Obama of supporting all of the thing that he himself supported with President Bush. If Senator McCain support president bush's decisions what should the American people take from that knowledge. We should expect our country to continue down the same path if Senator McCain is elected as president. Our country need a change and Senator, soon to be President Obama will provide the stability this country need to survive.

The measure of a man is in his honesty. This country need to be able to trust the president that is elected. If a person lie about supporting the current president then his integrity is compromised. How can u trust what is said once integrity is gone

I think its very disrespectful and petty to nitpick ettiquette when we really need sober discussion of issues.

I am a democrat, and I have to tell you, I am going to vote for Senator John McCain. He just had a command of the stage, his knowledge, and I feel safe going forward with John McCain as our President. He has the presence of a President. I do not want a person that just talks warm and fuzzy....I want a man that is a leader....and that is John McCain!

If there is one thing that is very clear watching this debate is that there is a reason Obama is called the

JUNIOR SENATOR FROM ILLINOIS.

He is junior in attitude, experience, vision, background, and historical and political knowledge.

Based on body language only, it is clear that temper-wise Obama loses...his facial expressions indicated his panic when challenged, his inability to matriculate his positions clearly and as a result
spent the whole night on the defensive.

I am a Democrat who can not vote Obama under any circumstance and am glad to see that there is a more than reasonable alternative this election.

As Far as this debate goes I will remain backing Barack Obama. As a business owner I understand what it is to pay taxes on a business. And sure the precentage is high, but like Senator Obama said there are too many loop holes for business owners. Guess what you guys, I get to write off my gas, my car payment, my repairs to my car, my car insurance, my clothing, going out to eat, my leisure which includes bowling going to the movies and theme parks, I also get to write off any appliance that I might wish to buy. Can the working class do that! No, they have to pay tax on all of that and still shlep themselves to a job to work for someone else. I come from a working class family, and i completely understand struggle. I am far from rich, But when i can subtract everything I buy and use from my taxable income, I come out way ahead and i do not have to pay as many taxes as those of you filing a w2 on your money. It just makes sense to tax the business owners and give more leway to the working class. Im sorry if you disagree, but it is the right thing to focus more on the taliban and alkayda verses Iraq because they are the ones that actually took down our beloved twin towers. Our economy is in real trouble, and i have always been proud to be an American, but after being a puppet to George Bush's selfish conquests it has left everybody suffering. My business is suffering because avg working class people not only have no money for their bills but they also have bad credit. They have been borrowing just so they wouldnt be kicked out on the street. This all boils down to spending money on the unnecessary. The Republicans have done this for the past 8 years and quiet frankly I have no more trust in the Republican party. Especially when the Rich are just making more money, and us middle class are struggling to stay over the poverty line. F guns and morals, we are talking about my life here. I dont care if you get to keep your guns or if a woman is allowed to get an abortion or if there is a death penalty or not. When it comes down to the Knitty Gritty I care about how im going to live and support my family. Isnt it funny how during the debate McCain had to talk over Obama and how nervous and deffensive he seemed. Obviously he cant even be sure what he wants to do. He is just trying to say whatever he can to keep us happy so we will vote for him. Thats exactley why he picked Palin! Strategy to get women and Hilary Supporters on bored! Give me a Break!

Rick!! My husband and I were just saying the same thing! I thought Barrack came off disrespectful referring to Mccain by his first name - I thought he also came off impatient and hotheaded, interrupting McCain alot; too many facial grimaces - doesn't have a pokerface to save his life.

I thought Senator John McCain was amazing...and Barrack Obama was very naive, and he is not ready to lead on day one! Obama is going to take this nation into more debt, and I think Obama is naive when it comes to other country and leaders...and that he did not even see the leaders of his own groups that he "leads" and Joe Biden with his HUGE SLIPS over history this week...I feel that Obama/Biden is a step back, and McCain/Palin is a step forward, and a huge change! I am looking forward to a president that can lead from day ONE
